  1. I did not mean to imply that the children benefit list was the sane as the adult. As you noted, the lists are indeed different. My post was regarding the info you provided about “earning” points. Any adult, regardless of how they became Diamond will get the same benefits of any Diamond adult. Any child, regardless of how they became Diamond, will have the same befits as other Diamond children m
  2. Lots of info on the benefits are found in the welcome letter that is delivered to the cabin. It will list all the on board benefits. M
  3. the ship app only, as far as we've found. M
  4. Regardless of how you and your children became Diamond, you still get the benefits. Even if you are Elite with Celebrity, and take a Royal Caribbean cruise, with reciprocity you’ll get all those benefits on your first cruise with Royal enjoy the benefits. m
  5. If there are two in the cabin, both will have an offer. It is a one time use but is for an entire purchase. You get $6 from crown & anchor but the casino has a promotion of $2-10O. Most get $2. $6 plus the 2 = $8
  6. Generally you have to spend $25 to get the logo shop discount. It is for an entire purchase of logo items. m
  7. Recently dinner has gotten so expensive that our BOGO often goes to waste. Chops was just about $70 on a recent Harmony cruise. By the time the gratuity (for just one meal) was added it was over $80 then plus the gratuity we would be adding on the “free“ dinner -we decided to pass. We didn’t want to pay nearly $100 to use the “free” dinner On a few cruises the letter states that the BOGO is for dinner. We used to use it, maybe 5 years ago, for an inexpensive and leisure boarding day chops lunch. And since we each get one, I guess if we wanted to, we could use one for lunch and still save one for dinner. m
  8. We’ve been hot or miss in paying on the first day and using layer in the cruise. Seems some ships allow it and others not. Perhaps since the sale of weekly dining packages, the restaurants are more full and they don’t need to offer the Bogo extension. m
  9. By speciality coffee they mean cappuccino, lattes, espresso etc. There will be a letter in your cabin detailing the diamond onboard benefits. Make sure to read it so that you understand what is being offered. Many don’t bother reading it and miss out on some benefits In addition to your any time/any place daily drinks ( can be alcohol or not) you will receive a free day of Internet, as well as a free photo. There are numerous other freebies and discounts that will noted be in the welcome aboard letter. enjoy.
  10. In our experience, BOGO is at on board rate. If you reserved and paid earlier, but then want to use the BOGO, they refund your purchase and charge the current rate. The BOGO is often not that much better than a good sale on the planner. m
  11. Many passengers specifically book a cruise that’s going to Bermuda. As a recent cruise passenger to Bermuda, it is not just a testing. At this point there is still a $40 per person pre cruise travel authorization that some take issue with. We had no problem filling out the form and uploading our vaccine information, but others on our trip came upon some issues m
  12. If you have not been to Coco Cay since the renovation/improvements, then I suggest not booking the beach club. There are so many wonderful complementary venues to enjoy, beaches, large swimming pool, buffet, snack shack’s, Captain Jack’s bar (live music). Then all of the normal activities. enjoy.
  13. I don’t believe Navigator ever offered or required reservations for shows. m
  14. Yes, a free photograph is still a benefit for D+, as well as diamond members. m
  15. Parking in terminal five is generally plentiful. The only issue, is that you pay when you leave, so there is a bottleneck to get out of the parking garage, at least that was our experience in June. m
  16. You don’t have to carry on all your luggage just because you want to bring wine. You can check your luggage, and just put your wine and some type of carry on tote cheers. m
  17. A few months ago on Mariner, our waiter found out we were pinnacle. He asked us to wear our badges in the dining room. He told us he wanted the other waiters to know that he was waiting on a pinnacle couple. That was a first for us. (We rarely wear our badges). m
  18. Given the age of many pinnacles, conceiving would be more news worthy than reaching 700 C&A points. I would have tears, but for a different reason 😄 m
  19. I don’t have an answer except to say it must be popular as many often post where they are on the C&A pipeline, how close they are to pinnacle, how they would be pinnacle by now if cruises hadn’t been canceled during Covid, itineraries hadn’t changed, etc. etc. etc. The only thing a person has done to become pinnacle, is to take a cruise on Royal Caribbean. It’s possible for anyone, and everyone. It used to take time, but nowadays it’s attainable quite quickly, possibly in less than a year. I don’t understand why some folks find it necessary to make fun of someone just because they’ve taken a lot of cruises. m
  20. On our recent harmony cruise, we had one chair that had a footstool, the other did not. We asked our cabin attendant if he could find another, and It was no problem. Was delivered within the hour. m
  21. Boarding independence august 8 for a FOUR night cruise. No Covid test is necessary per RCCL site and email we received the other day. Then this arrived a few minutes ago, telling me I need a test. I know this letter is computer generated and is the same letter used for almost a year. I also know it is incorrect, but many who are not as familiar with the updated protocols will be really confused.
  22. In our experience, on Celebrity, your cabin mate will receive the same Elite benefits as you for that cruise, but is not awarded the membership category. M
  23. We had to get the authorization for our May trip. We didn’t have any issue but others weren’t as lucky. m
