  1. That was always a complaint I’ve read on here, since spas on land usually include the pool/hot tub areas with treatments.
  2. Since when has NCL offered use of the day pass with treatments?
  3. I do enjoy my wine, but I don’t drink juice, or put sugar in my coffee or tea, don’t drink any soda or shakes (just water, unsweetened iced tea and seltzer). I don’t like to drink sweet.
  4. Why? CBD doesn’t produce a high, like THC, it’s more like melatonin. It’s pretty non-offensive, especially compared to the amount of alcohol consumed on cruises, which definitely has a greater effect.
  5. We are a family of 7, never made reservations, but always go to the larger MDR as they have more large tables, never had to wait.
  6. Porters have their own customs line, shorter than the others.
  7. Actually some guarantee cabins are assigned right after booking, some are assigned right before sailing, and some in between.
  8. You’re not missing anything, the first time we booked CS, but the next time it was actually cheaper to do the ships excursion. Sometimes booking direct with Atlantis is the best deal.
  9. That sounds right, you can see it from the ship, relatively safe, harbor beach, food and drink for sale, umbrellas and chairs to rent, I’ve never heard of a vendor free beach anywhere, we were bothered frequently at Atlantis and RIU.
  10. There are so many US citizens living out their lives in other countries for this reason, never allowed to return. Very sad.
  11. It’s definitely legal and common in the US, put an item from kohls in an online shopping cart and watch the sales change but never the actual price of the item. Laws in Europe are different.
  12. MCT can be hit or miss. Line up early, carry your bags, when you get to customs, get a porter, who will place your bags on a cart and take you though a short line, and bring your bags where you want (give a nice tip).
  13. Grab a porter before security, they will put luggage on a cart, we tip around $20, they will take your bags to where you want to go.
  14. RIU was our favorite daypass, tried the Hilton, Melia, and Atlantis too.
  15. The vast majority of servers in the US prefer the current system, no one wants to be a server for $15 an hour.
  16. Of course it is, I doubt many pay a la carte, but instead buy a dining package for at least 2 meals.
  17. With no set dining times, dining with others doesn’t work well. We just show up and are seated. I’m happy to eat with my little family of 7, my first cruise was NCL, I had no interest in cruising because I don’t love to dress up or eat with others, but as soon as I learned that’s not a problem on NCL, I was sold.
  18. Right?! I love Indian food, but it’s a treat, not something I consider healthy, so many rich dishes.
  19. This ^^^. I have 2 with celiac, NCL is amazing! Let them know before your cruise, go to a MDR for lunch after embarkment and the dietary manager will most likely come to your table. Mine ordered dinner and breakfast the day before, we preferred the buffet for breakfast so trays were delivered to our table, we’d give a call on our way and let them know where we’d be eating. We actually usually had the same servers each night, not sure if it was due to diet or because we were a party of 7, we never made reservations or waited for a table. We had the same experience on 3 different ships.
  20. I’m a doomsday downer, always pointing out how things could go wrong with zero logic (except Covid, I predicted the outcome before it even got to the US, my kids even admitted “omg mom was actually right this time”), I wouldn’t be concerned about an attack on a cruise ship (rogue wave, that’s another story…).
  21. I was basing it on the invoice, it looks like the premium plus beverage package is in addition to the gratuities on the UBP.
  22. Oops, correct, so it looks like $55 a day.
  23. Isn’t it $138 pp per day? That’s a lot of coffee.
  24. Why would an adult forfeit the UDP so a 4 year old could get the soda package for free?
