  1. Do you have priority boarding? If not, I doubt you will be getting to the terminal that early and just walk on with the first boarding group. Toy might want to wait until 1 is boarding with the masses.
  2. We sail out of nyc, the last time we sailed out of there on the breakaway there wasn’t a seat left by 10 am. Boarding didn’t start until almost noon.
  3. I think the lines grow as time goes by. We always get there by 9 to be sitting down for lunch at noon. Cabins open up around the time we are done.
  4. The reason you need reservations is that there are way more people onboard than seats in entertainment venues on the mega ships (on the older ships no need for reservations). It’s the same with specialty restaurants, especially since they give meals away with perks. It’s mainly the my time dining with no set seatings, which is our favorite part of NCL.
  5. I’ve never seen any there, only if someone grabbed them after disembarking and happened to be bringing up their luggage. We never had a wheelchair, but we did manage with 5 children (and back in the day a case of water). We’ve used them after the cruise and tipped at least $20.
  6. I don’t think any NCL ship has splash pads for diapered kids, only some of the newer RCL ships have very small ones.
  7. I think the issue is you booked it out of Ireland, terms are different than in the US.
  8. You won’t be able to ditch your carryon luggage until around 1:30 or so when cabins are ready. Since we usually to straight to a MDR after boarding, we are usually just finished up with lunch when cabins are ready.
  9. We usually fly United basic economy, no changes, not even with fees.
  10. But the shuttle wouldn’t have arrived at the port much before the OP, if at all.
  11. Thanks for the clarification, I remember getting there, grabbing a couple of chairs and using the pools for an hour before the slides opened.
  12. With the free at sea, if the 2nd passengers are under 21, they get the soda package for free if the 1st passenger has the UBP with free at sea.
  13. The cabins are not bigger, just the bathroom. I’ve heard you can buy spa day passes on port days if not sold out, I’ve never heard of vibe day passes.
  14. You definitely want to reserve specialty dining and shows ahead of time, on the app or on screens onboard. You can drink as much as you’d like, most drinks are included but if not, you just pay the difference over $15 plus gratuity on that amount. We are a family of 7 and have never made MDR reservations. After boarding we head to the open MDR for a relaxing lunch.
  15. We are a family of 7 and I’ve always been able to book specialty restaurants for us online (and definitely not at 9), give them a call.
  16. I doubt you can check bags that early before your flight, and the trip can take an hour each way. Maybe look into luggage storage in Manhattan, post on the east coast departures board.
  17. Even when that package existed my kids had to pay for beer and wine, even though they were both #2 in the cabin, only the soda package was given to them.
  18. If you miss your original flight they might cancel your flight back.
  19. I think it’s the same as the regular UDP, it would be so easy to share that premium beverage package with someone with just one paying for the upgrade.
  20. When we were on the Jewel years ago, my 12 year old son wore shorts in the fancy MDR, he was asked his age. I should’ve just packed some pants for him, he was tall.
  21. I know this, but soon we will need real id to travel domestically by air, so we can just use passport cards, getting a passport is easier than getting real ID here.
  22. We always book 2 cabins, I have to log into each reservation to book excursions, I don’t think they were ever linked.
  23. Last time I was called for county it was an initial zoom, and many used mental health and IBS as excuses, all were dismissed.
  24. I suspect a broken leg would have you off the ship regardless of having a passport, my family of 7 adults all have valid passports, worth the expense for us, especially since real Id is a PITA to get here, but plenty of folks don’t travel internationally often. I imagine only a very small amount of travelers run into issues cruising without a passport.
