  1. I know you want a car service, but for anyone thinking of taking a train to get to cape liberty, you’d take a train to Newark Penn station in NJ.
  2. I think they do, however the last time we were on the breakaway during a school break we could never find seats in H2O.
  3. My daughter is taking Amtrak tomorrow to NJ from Boston, booked it last week and it’s $75 one way. She used to book from Delaware to NJ a couple months in advance for $30 each way.
  4. I get that, but I didn’t think NCL allowed only one passenger get the UDP up to not wanting folks with it getting drinks for others without it.
  5. I tip anyone who brings anything to my cabin. On land, we pay for room service and add a tip. I know at least here, those who deliver food do not get the service charge of delivery fee.
  6. My 15 and 17 year olds enjoyed the show. Kids can see R rated movies with their parents. All cruise lines are strict with kids clubs ages due to insurance liabilities.
  7. Our keurig has an extra strong button as well (it has a 12 cup pot plus the pod side).
  8. We had pod coffee machines in our balcony, I’ve read you now need to request them. They are not keurigs.
  9. A day pass would probably cost less (we’ve done CS and booked through the ship, it’s always worth it to check out all of the options).
  10. Have your kids go to the teen club the first night, they’ll meet new friends.
  11. We have sailed on a school vacation week on the jewel, gem, and breakaway, all had tons of kids.
  12. If there is more than one in your party an Uber is cheaper.
  13. When comparing airports and costs add on the transportation from NYC vs. Newark. We live close, my teens love the highline park and getting a bite to eat at Chelsea market. Central Park is also a beautiful place. 9/11 memorial and one world observatory are with seeing. You need to but SOL tickets in advance, pedestal tickets are worth the extra $, my kids enjoyed going to the crown. Lines are shorter leaving from NJ.
  14. If you want to save money you could SEPTA/NJ transit transferring in Trenton.
  15. I think it depends on the ship, on some it’s mentioned close access to the kids clubs, others mention that many are connecting for larger families. https://www.ncl.com/cruise-ship/getaway/staterooms/inside
  16. My kids loved the teen clubs - to meet other teens to hang out with for the week.
  17. Don’t solo passengers pay double as the solo supplement? Prices pp are based on double occupancy.
  18. So what do you think the difference is? We’ve had family balconies on 4 NCL ships and were told it was designated as such due to location, there was no difference inside than any other balconies.
  19. Yes, that’s what “family” means, close to the kids clubs (we always booked family balconies, nit to be close to the clubs but we like midship close to the elevators/stairs).
  20. It’s the only pool I’ll get in on a cruise ship.
  21. At Atlantis you can go to the casino, lobby, and marina village, that’s it.
