I could be wrong, but somewhere I read that "access key" bookings do not get the Deep Blue status perks. I think these heavily discounted cruises are like those for casino, travel agents, etc.

Yea, I guess that makes some sense. (no gambling). We gambled plenty but liked to sit at the bar and share a few drinks sometimes. If they had Video Poker at the bar, we would love doing that, but they don't. I find drink service on the floor sketchy. Since Virgin is so "no tipping" - I wonder if tipping the servers would increase service levels?

To be clear, it is a way to cover the credit card surcharges (2-3%) and I guess make a little money as well. ATMs are always a fixed amount PER TRANSACTION. If you do a cash advance via ATM - you are gonna get screwed over.

Interesting. On our November cruise, we got free drinks at the casino bar anytime we wanted.

We have booked many cruises direct with cruiseline. All works just fine. Avoids the "call the cruiseline" or call your "TA".

One 2 wheel roll aboard each, plus 1 small computer type bag with ipads, plugs, papers, etc. And I have a CPAP inside my roll aboard.

If they did sell them, I would expect they would be at MSRP - if not higher. Personally, we don't buy stuff onboard. How do you deal with customer service if there is an issue?

Last 10 or so cruises - no bags to check on plane or at terminal. Makes life much easier. Loving it!

folks constantly are raising their cameras in our field of view and holding them up while we are trying to watch the LIVE video, scene, etc. It takes away from the moment.

Too many people film everything on vacation as if somebody really wants to watch them. I get that part though BUT - when they stick their camera/phone up in my face such that I can not enjoy the show - that is WRONG. Take a picture of two and put the damn thing away.

We have lots of TVs in our house and find most have a USB port, but will not play many formats anyways. Your best bet is HDMI - if you can get to it and if they did not disable it and if you can change the input

Anytime you pre purchase something, Murphy is waiting in the wings. It could increase the chances you will not be able to drink due to some health issue, etc. LOL!

Actually - I am looking at a 4-5 night out of New Orleans. In the past, I was rated high on NCL and got free rooms and always avoided special event casino cruises as I knew the casino would be full then.

Commision on little to no cabin cost is way too low. And there is no way on COSTCO to get those casino rates anyways.

Trying to find a junket operator for a Carnival Cruise. We get free cabins and often suites on NCL from out play - but a family schedule thing is forcing us to Carnival soon. Did the match think online and never heard back from them.

Which junket groups work with Carnival?
