As I have said a hundred times before: when ‘tips’ are included it becomes a service charge. And then you’ll be expected to tip over and above. And the owner of the business will then come to see the service charge as income, and begin working on ways to keep more of that income.

Biggest problem is you can’t make reservations in advance. And depending on the ship and restaurant, some good times are definitely going to be gone and you will either not be able to dine where you want or when you want on some nights.

Well, there is our answer. Breakfast menus for Blu have reappeared. But they are slimmed down. For instance, remember the full English Breakfast you used to be able to get? Good luck now getting that in Blu. Things are NOT getting better.

Hello. Hopefully just another IT glitch for Celebrity. Was checking menus in the app for Blu for our upcoming cruise and… breakfast is missing from the menus. it was there the last time I looked. I certainly hope this isn’t some cutback.

Hello, all! We are sailing New Year’s on Celebrity Reflection and are in Aqua Class cabins. I noticed today in the Celebrity app, however, that under dining I can select a reservation time in the MDR under Celebrity Select. Does anyone know of this is typical for an Aqua reservation? We want to dine in Blu for certain.

This thread absolutely delights me and brings home a feeling of nostalgia. I have been away from Carnival Cruises since 2019– after 20 years and nearly 30 cruises. The product just got nickled and dimed and cutback way too much. It all started with the quality of the chocolate on the pillow going down, then when no one ate them anymore, the chocolates were eliminated. Then the ‘morning or afternoon’ service. No more tablecloths. Cutting back on staff at the pizzeria to create huge lines then charging for pizza delivery. Charging for room service. Less staff per passenger. I can see that since we have left it hasn’t gotten better— it’s gotten worse. Anyway was on my new cruise lines board tonight and was just wondering if the fights were still happening on CCL boards. Thanks very much, y’all! you made my evening!
