  1. We were on the Beyond this past October, and since it was a last minute cruise booked through the Casino(Blue Chip Club), there were no specialty dining dates/times available. Immediately after boarding, we went to the Guest Services area and there was a dedicated table set up with two crew members who were booking specialty restaurant reservations. We were able to get the Rooftop grill on two different days and the times we preferred. Since we were in Aqua, this was the only specialty restaurant we were interested in visiting.
  2. We were on the Edge last February when we felt the ship slow down, then turn completely around. There was a raft with 16 people floating nearby. Our captain said that the Coast Guard had been contacted and we would wait until they came. It was about an hour and a half later that the Coast Guard came and took control of the raft. We then continued on our way.
  3. Our Beyond 10/26 cruise was on a Blue Chip free offer and the cost to upgrade to Aqua was $20. per person per day. There was a large bottle of water in our cabin the first day, and the water in the aluminum cans was replenished every day. Most nights we ate in Blu, mornings too, and thought the food and service were great. Sometimes I just ordered from the MDR menu.
  4. Hi Kelly, We too are on this sailing with you! This will be our 4th time on E Class and I promise you will love it! Take the time to check out all the nooks and crannies and relaxing places that are all over the ship. We especially like the Eden lounge and bar area. So many places to just sit and relax with one of the Eden specialty cocktails or the delicious lunch from the Eden cafe. Since our previous Edge and Apex cruises were comped casino ones we've only been in IV, Aqua, or the porthole veranda cabins, but we have enjoyed every one. I'm sure your suite will be nothing less than fabulous! Looking forward to meeting everyone. Eileen
  5. We're also on the same cruise, in Aqua! I also remember you from the old AC One board. Will probably see you in the casino. Small World! When we travel with friends or family, we generally book the same category cabin (Verandas, Concierge or Aqua), and since I'm the planner, I'll let everyone know what we have planned each day and they are welcome to join us or meet up later for dinner, drinks, casino, etc. at night. I would think that would give you all space but have the chance to enjoy each other's company too.
  6. Last October, on the Edge, there was someone standing in front of the entrance to the Oceanview Cafe asking if we had any specialty dining reservations. I had booked the Steakhouse several weeks before. He then asked if we would like to experience Eden, at a 50% discount. Best meal and experience we had on the ship! May have been offered due to the low passenger count on that cruise. Before our cruise on the Summit in June I got an email offering 30% discount on the Steakhouse and I booked it immediately. Haven't gotten anything yet for our Beyond cruise in 3 weeks, but still hoping!
  7. Yes! We are on the Beyond October 26, 2022, out of Bayonne. Its 9 nights to Bermuda, Curacao and Bermuda, and we were able to pay to upgrade to Aqua.
  8. Yes. We've been on several of these cruises and have gotten captain's club points for each.
  9. I'm Amethyst and was on the Summit this past June. On the second day there was a message on the stateroom phone advising me of the $100 freeplay. I went to the Casino cashier, gave her my info and they loaded it onto my account.
  10. I would definitely let the pool attendant know. Why are there some who feel entitled to reserve their chairs for the entire day? It's just wrong!
  11. The ship sailed from the Navy Yard. There was talk about dredging the Delaware to encourage more ship traffic but it never happened.
  12. This was our first Celebrity cruise and our kids first cruise! We sailed out of Phila. Pa. to Bermuda. It was such a beautiful ship and we have so many fond memories.
  13. I got the postcard with the QR code. Once I scanned and saw the cruises that were offered, I entered in my choices. When I didn't hear back from them after a few days, I called and was given my first choice. Paid the extra $20. per day and now have a midship Aqua class veranda, on the Beyond. I believe that if you get an offer and are interested, book it ASAP. You can always cancel.
  14. Like the Edge class, especially Eden for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Also like the Infinite Veranda and the Rooftop Grill.
  15. We were in Aqua on this past cruise and had number 14 for disembarking. Had to meet in the theater by 8:40 and we were in our car on the road by 9:00am.
  16. We just got off the Summit today. A few months back they had a sale for 30%off Tuscan for the first night, but the only time available was 8:00. I made the reservation, but once onboard I saw that there was something I wanted to do at 8:30(slot tournament), so I went to Tuscan and asked if there was anything earlier available. They were able to move my reservation to 6:00. So it's quite possible to try once onboard.
