Didn’t all the lines abolish trays on the grounds Covid might be spread by contact with surfaces, which doesn’t seem to be the case. Has Cunard reinstated them?
Coo. On Cunard it is a mere 20% off when you’ve used up your obc, though prices are quite reasonable. It is the only time our clothes are ever ironed. 🙂
Is it your choice to have it all on the same plate or is it how they do it? Different things on different plates would make it look much nicer. I’m just wondering whether the problem is simply that I’m living in the wrong century.
Well, it is usually quite expensive. And, as well as age and decrepitude leading to reduced appetites, you yourself suggested, I think, that the better quality food left you feeling fuller. They have also considerably reduced the choices over the years, leading, I assume, to less waste.
I suspect they may check more carefully for sailings going to the US.
At the moment UK people don’t need a visa or anything for the EU, just not to have been there for too long too recently, if someone is counting.
I know Cunard admin and IT are strangely deficient, but surely even they must have a record of where passengers boarded.
Here is another thing for people to contemplate. How do they deal with a passenger who turns up at Soton with a UK passport for a cruise to six EU ports, having spent 89 days in the EU in the last four months? Is s/he allowed to board?
But she was built to last. They thought QE2 would last 25 years, and she lasted nearly 40, despite leading quite a hard life with a lot of TAs at high speed.
