  1. Leo_On_Geo

    New website.

OK it worked to update (at least not 0 or error message now), but not to the correct missing cruises/points which I identified as errors on my Nov. Cruise. Still have not heard back about missing cruises after my Jan 17 enmail to "Loyalty". When I called, they said they were busy. I understand, but I hope it gets corrected soon.
  2. I too, wrote loyalty in early January about inaccurate loyalty points, both on the website and on a print out from the ship. I received no acknowledgment that they had received it, which I had always received in the past. my travel agent also had difficulty reaching them to apply my complementary nights to a reservation. Finally, we called them several weeks ago and they acknowledge that had received my email about loyalty points, but I still have not heard anything from them. A week later I did get the complementary nights applied, thank goodness, but it was a little alarming when I Recently checked celebrity, and my zenith status was now zero! Azamara website is saying “we cannot show your loyalty points right now”. Hope it gets figured out soon. I wish they would send a “we got your email” reply as they have done in the past. It just eases your mind that somebody has actually seen your email. I think things are still in progress but I hope that worked out by the time I’m on the ship next month.
  3. Hi, I haven’t received an offer, but looking at availability it seems to be very low (4 CC/ 3 balcony) and not in good locations. Even if I get an offer I think I’ll stick with my cabin.
  4. Actually on the recent TA, on Pursuit the wi-Fi was great at sea. It was in ports that TV and internet failed. At least in port, you can acess via telephone provider, but TV channels were very curtailed. Lisa
  5. Please let us know about yellow fever waivers. Those on March 4 return cruise are interested. Thanks
  6. Azamara has no control over what tour operators do. Sometimes cancellations are due to staffing issue on the tour operators part, and in this case I think it was because of the traffic restrictions imposed by the Florence marathon. Other times cancellations are done because not enough people sign up for a particular tour. I’ve had that happen to me several times And it is disappointing.
  7. Yes it is a recent change, which caught me as well. This change makes it difficult to spend your last penny of OBC, because the TV accounts and the guest relations are reporting you have X amount left to spend, but actually it is X amount plus the tips you have given. So you really have more OBC to spend. This is important to those of us who like to make sure we leave no unspent OBC.
  8. I keep mine in an outer pocket of my luggage, and I have had no problem tracking them. Of course you can always put your tags on the outside in holders such as shown in the photo. Those cost extra money, and I would worry about them being lost in transit. I have lost many Luggage Tags over the years.
  9. Gelato is only avaiable in Windows dessert area during lunch hours 12:30-2:30 ish. Also available at Dinner with limited flavors. Swirl and top (frozen Yogurt) is avaiable when Patio open for Lunch and Dinner (and hours inbetween). If Patio not open for dinner, I think Swirl and top closes at either 5 or 8 PM, but certainly available for afternoon 3-4 PM snack.
  10. Passengers left. Then a new cruise started. So far on this cruise ( 4 days in) no reported cases, but lots of coughing and some sneezing. So who knows what will happen going forward. Captain Johannes is very forthcoming.
  11. I believe it was $89 ( I had plenty of OBC, where a train/taxi would cost cash). Also I booked earlier on a previous cruise in January so it was 10% less. I did buy a ticket for each day, but they would have allowed me to just have the one ticket split over two days.
  12. I just did this and it was the highlight of my trip. I took the ship's transport to the dropoff near San Croce, then walked a short distance to my hotel near the Ponte Vecchio to drop my bag. I had 29 hours in Florence to explore and shop, rest in the afternoon, have a nice dinner and a walk through Florence after dark with my Gelato. I awoke to open my window overlooking the Arno, more shopping and a wonderful lunch at Trattoria 4 Leoni (had hotel call when I checked in to get an outside table). Then more shopping and exploring until I joined the bus back to the ship. This saved the taxi fare each way to train station, and left me closer to action in Florence. I would definately do this again if I had an overnight in Florence.
  13. The Dr. is isolated to prevent them from contracting Covid and passing it on, or getting sick themselves. That would be a large problem for the entire ship if Dr is out of comission. My experience on Pursuit was that the nurse came by every day. Was this not the case on the Quest? Also I clean my toilets and change my sheets at home for free. At least you will get some FCC from Azamara for your experience. I am glad you self reported even if you were unhappy about the results. It is the right thing to do. Thank you.
  14. You’re free to do what you want to do. You just have to find a provider who’s willing to do it with you. The tour providers may have insurance risks that they’re not willing to take for person of a certain age. Like uktog said you can always lie about your age to a private provider and you can do whatever you want.
  15. The age limits for shore excursions are usually determined by the shore excursion company. Azamara cannot control what their requirements are. I have found that age limits exist in some countries and not in other countries. For example the age to scuba dive in the Caribbean is much lower than it is to scuba dive in the Red Sea. I don’t think you can blame Azamara for what the shore excursion companies require.
  16. I agree upgrading from V to CC is not worth it for a solo. As a solo we pay double to upgrade, yet have to dine alone in the speciality resturants. If I invite a friend to join me it costs. It would be nice if the "solo Upgrade" came with a few "Guest passes" for the speciality resturants. I enjoy the larger cabin, but nothing else makes it worth the extra cost, especially if I get a tub cabin!
  17. The one thing I would recommend is a pair if small binoculars. The screen is far away and it allows you to see the rankings and times. I was glad I had mine.
  18. Straps without the gown,.. that does sound a bit scandalous. Most certainly do not bring that!
  19. Yes Covid tests are $59 and you can se your OBC
  20. Leo_On_Geo

    OBC?

OBC can also not be used for future cruise deposits
  21. No need for boarding tags it can all be handled at the pier
  22. Currently beginning second leg of B2B on Pursuit tomorrow. No test required. Rather stupid in my opinion. They clearly rather not know
  23. The best way to avoid Deck 4 is to wear a mask..... which few are doing.
  24. When are you travelling? Dining options will change on each cruise due to pax load, so prepare for changes! Currently on the Pursuit ~280 pax, Windows buffet open for breakfast and lunch as self-chosen, served by staff and you can sit anywhere, even the Patio is you wished. Dinner at Windows is a white table resturant (inside and out-no table clothes outside). Choices of appitizers, entrees and desserts are displayed and you order from the menu and courses are served at you table. I think this is a very nice option, less food, less waste. However this may change as 600 pax would requires more staff than the reg buffet. Now it works great. Currently the Patio is open only for lunch.
