I like the meal, for a change from meat. Pass on the drink and wine. I haven't been to Gaspe. It's going to be warm and sunny here. I slept well last night, about 7 hours. I will be taking BFF later for his perioperative clinic appointment. But he just found out they don't have the OR staff for his surgery Friday, so it's postponed to Tuesday the 21st. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms and those who function as Moms even if unrelated. And Happy Mother's Day to the Moms in heaven. I'll salute nurses. I try to keep my plants healthy. Limericks can be fun. Good quote. Yes to the meal, maybe on the drink and yes to the wine. I haven't been to Himeji. It's cloudy and cool here today. We had storms last night, and tornado warnings. There were a couple of tornadoes that touched down, but not near me thankfully. I managed to get 2 loads of laundry done yesterday. I stayed downstairs for the first load, to decrease trips up and down the stairs. I did ok, except my left knee isn't happy (it's the problem one that Ortho says I need a knee replacement, but had been ok before I was able to move more). BFF is cranky, as the wrap on his leg keeps undoing itself at the bottom. His next door neighbor is trying to fix it up. I'll look at it tomorrow, and I have a big sock that might fit over the splint. We go to the perioperative clinic tomorrow, for surgical clearance. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I'm not sure if foam rolling refers to those gym foam rollers or those for hair. I've only had one root canal, and since it relieved the pain and wasn't painful to get, I wasn't sure why they are so feared. I will certainly appreciate awareness of chronic immunological and neurological diseases (May 12), since that encompasses my eye disease (uveitis) and RA. Funny quote. Yes to the meal, pass on the drink, and yes to the wine. I haven't been to Phuket. My roommate in college was from Thailand and has wanted me to visit. Cats has some great music; I'm a big ALW fan. It's 53F and sunny now, but was 43 this AM. Brrr. And I didn't have the heat set to come on. We've had lots of rain, and more later today they say. I tried to see the Northern Lights but didn't see anything (too much light around I think), although some folks nearby got good photos. I was tired last night and fell right asleep. I woke up at 5, and the Care List hadn't synced on iCloud, so I had to come downstairs. I managed to fall back asleep for another 2 hours. BFF is on his own today, but has enough food. On Monday we have to visit perioperative clinic. I am going to try to do laundry today; hasn't been done for almost 3 weeks, plus there's extra from BFF being here. Only the last 3 steps coming up from the basement are a concern, as they're taller than normal steps. I will have my phone with me. Good afternoon. Thanks for the FR/Daily @kazu and maps @rafinmd. I'll remember my late DM on our Mother's Day; sadly she's been gone 31 years. I used to enjoy Hostess cupcakes in my packed lunches for camp. Hampsters are ok, but I never had one as a pet. That quote is "fighting words" as they used to say. Maybe on the meal, pass on the drink and wine. I will be going to Sydney for the first time on my upcoming fall cruise, so the photos will help me see what's there to see. Although due to our health issues, BFF and I may not tour around that much. It's cloudy and sprinkling rain times, and cooler (50's). I had/have some type of GI upset, that started yesterday. I didn't eat anything unusual, so I'm not sure of the cause. I am being cautious about what I eat today. I just woke up from an almost 3 hour nap, even though I slept about 6 hours last night. I plan to continue to just chill today. @marshhawk I hope all went well at the oral surgeon's office. Good evening. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. 3 good days. I like the quote. The meal looks good, I've never had a Cosmopolitan yet, and yes to the wine. I haven't been to Flam. I just recently watched a movie about Alan Turing and cracking the code. What a day. Raining off and on all day. I didn't sleep well last night, I think worrying about BFF. I took him to his appointment, and he will need surgery. Then we stopped and picked up a Frosty each on the way back to his house. The surgeon wanted a CT scan, as there may be a 3rd small fracture and he needs to see how large the piece is. So he called, and they said can you be here in half an hour? So out we go again. It's very hard for him to move around; I got a wheelchair and got him to the test. Then I drove home. I think a glass of wine is in order. I'm exhausted. @StLouisCruisers Safe travels tomorrow. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I've known folks with Thalassemia, but thankfully Thal Minor, which is less severe. Those with animals should have a disaster plan, and every day should be cruelty free. Very true quote. I'll pass on the meal (don't like raw spinach), drink and maybe on the wine. I haven't been to Da Nang. I'll salute V-E day. It's sunny and 73F already. What a night! Severe storms woke me up around 2AM. Somehow I missed the tornado warning. There was one in the WV panhandle and one east of me, but neither that close. There were some trees down around here and power outages (not me). I slept pretty well, considering the storms. I had a little tingling in my leg, that I think is positional. The neurosurgeon said the pain would go away right after surgery, but the tingling could take up to a year. This was very minor and hasn't occurred with being out of bed. BFF is doing pretty good. Another friend is bringing him dinner tonight. Tomorrow we go to the Ortho doc to see what the plan is. An important day in history for all of us computer geeks. It's mostly cloudy here, with storms coming tonight (remnants of the bad storms in the plains). I slept well. I had taken some ibuprofen before bed, due to the increased activity yesterday. I plan to relax today and catch up on some programs on my DVR. I just texted with BFF. He's doing fair. He says it's very energy sapping to hobble around. When we see Ortho, and a decision is made of surgery vs cast, I'll ask about the knee scooter. He also managed to get someone to mow his lawn, so that's one job taken care of. Today is my DM's heavenly birthday; she would be 120, being born in 1904. She was a teacher. @aliaschief It sounds like you're continuing to have an amazing cruise. @MISTER 67 Good news about your check up. @StLouisCruisers I hope your family stays safe. This has been wild weather this spring. @kazu I'm sorry the pain kept you awake last night. Prayers that the antibiotics work and that there is no osteomyelitis. You can whine here anytime; I did that a lot, and living alone, it was helpful (and spared BFF some). @Haljo1935 Good luck with the eye procedure, and I hope the Neurologist has an alternative therapy. @cat shepard Yes, it is BFF's driving foot. He was told it would probably be several months before he can drive. He is very independent, and now says he feels like an invalid. He's normally always doing things around the house, yardwork, etc., and this is tough on him. @smitty34877 I am glad that you have some extra help with the physical stuff, while your shoulder improves. @Cruzin Terri I'm glad you are coming up with a plan that will still allow DH to cruise, and be less stressful. @dfish I hope the nerve ablation gets ordered today. @marshhawk Good luck at the vet.
