  1. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I don't know much about hemp. Yay for Kindergarten; I don't remember it, although I have my report card from it saying I was shy. I think I would like chocolate covered cashews, although I've not seen them for sale. Funny quote. The meal looks good. Maybe on the drink and pass on the wine. I haven't been to Scarborough. It's cloudy and cool here. There were frost warnings this morning. I again got more sleep, about 5.5 hours, in segments. I had a late Hibiclens shower, maybe that helped. But you can't put on any lotion and I usually do, with my dry skin. I feel like I have a lot to do, and don't know where to start. I'm trying to prep the downstairs den for if I decide to sleep there a few nights initially. I won't worry about food; BFF is bringing a crockpot meal that we'll have on Tuesday. I appreciate all of the prayers and good thoughts for tomorrow. @kazu Bon Voyage! Have a great time on your cruise. @VMax1700 Bon Voyage! @bennybear Happy Anniversary! I'll make note of the correct number of years. Great photos from Kanazawa. @sailingdutchy Happy Birthday! @StLouisCruisers Sandi, I hadn't planned to have a substitute or take sick leave. The surgery will be outpatient, unless something untoward goes on, so I'll be home by evening. I figure doing the lists will give me something to do! I can use my tablet from the recliner or my PC which is in the room I'll be hanging out in. If I need help I'll reach out. @grapau27 Thanks for the link and the explanation about hemp. @smitty34877 I'm glad the family arrived safely and that everyone gets along well. So nice that Tana was able to be at the table with everyone for dinner. @Overhead Fred Beautiful photos from Keukenhof; I've not made it there yet. @marshhawk Please be careful with your foot and get it looked at if it's not getting better. @aliaschief Looking good! Great photos. @Nickelpenny Thanks for the photos from Scarborough. @Cruising-along A troubling update on Amber, but I hope the surgery will improve her condition. Continued prayers for her. Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for those Celebrating.

  3. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I'll salute those who are not Chinese and can speak the difficult language. I hadn't heard of Cli-Fi before, and not a cheddar fries fan. Interesting quote. I'll pass on the meal because of the scallops. Pass on the drink and wine. I haven't been to Akita. It's windy and somewhat cool here (56F). Freeze warning for tomorrow morning and Monday morning. I unexpectedly got more sleep last night (yay). Initially about 3.5 hours, then fell back asleep twice more, so about 6 hour total 😲. So somewhat energized, I stripped the bed and gathered everything I could find to launder. Of course doing all that I had to keep sitting down, due to pain. I'm just finishing a break, then will tackle going up and down to the basement to do laundry. Tonight starts the Hibiclens showers, so everything needs to be clean. I'm also gathering some things to keep on the first floor, in case I can't go upstairs to bed the first few days. @StLouisCruisers Thanks for starting us up today. @grapau27 Thanks for the explanation of Cli-Fi day. @summer slope Enjoy the visit and the cruise with your family. I hope you can get more rest. @rafinmd I appreciate all the work you do on the maps. @Cruzin Terri When you can, you should really let your cable company have it about their bad service. @cat shepard Enjoy the visit from your niece and greatnieces. @smitty34877 Nice to hear that the NH family is coming to visit. @marshhawk I hope the kittens are ok. @kazu I'm glad you made it to FLL safely, but the flight sounds awful. Enjoy your time with @POA1 Brian and @Huskerchick Michelle. Prayers for the Care List and a Toast to those Celebrating.

  5. Yay! Just got word that insurance approved the procedure. Then registration called to get that done. I will hear between 2-4PM what time I'm scheduled for, but was already told I have to be there 2 hours before sugery. @bennybear Prayers all goes well at the Oncologist's office.
  6. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily @StLouisCruisers and maps @rafinmd. And to the F&B contributors. I've known some people whose babies had CDH and required surgery. I hadn't heard of John Parker before. I like garlic! I knew that quote, but didn't realize it was from Stephen King. I've been too scared to read any of his books or see any of his movies. Pass on the meal ((fish), maybe for the drink, and pass on the wine. I haven't been to Porto Malai, A great find by Captain Cook. It's been dreary and rainy this AM, but I see a little peak of sun now. Sleep was particularly elusive, about 2.5 hours. So this AM I look at my insurance website and see the prior auth for my surgery is listed as in process. I call, get some outsourced person, who really can only say it's in process and that it can take 14 business days to review and decide if the procedure is necessary. The request was submitted April 10th. So it was suggested I call the provider, to see if it can be made priority. I have left a message with the Neurosurgeon's nurse. Once I got myself in the mindset of having this, and the fact that I can't take much more of this pain and no sleep, I will not be happy if there has to be a delay. Plus BFF has altered his schedule to be here with me a while. Ugh. @StLouisCruisers Thanks for starting us up today. @kazu Safe travels today. @grapau27 Thanks for the information. @MISTER 67 Good luck in the tournament. @aliaschief Wonderful photos from India. That buffet looks fabulous! I'm glad you're getting some rest. @smitty34877 I'm sorry you're up at all hours like I am. I hope Tana (and you) has better sleep soon. @Cruzin Terri I'm glad to hear that everything seems to be coming together for your trip. @RMLincoln Nice flowers along your walk yesterday. @doobieb How wonderful on the timing of the blooming of that rose bush. @ger_77 Hard to believe you're still getting snow! Prayers for DH to get approval for the TAVR. @quilty964 I hope Cooper is feeling like his old self soon. Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for those Celebrating.

  8. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I'll salute monuments and sights, and try to visit many. I'm sure I ate animal crackers as a kid, but I don't recall eating them. Lineman should be appreciated; around here 40k were in the dark last night after storms rolled through. My brain can't process the quote. I'll pass on the meal and try the drink (I've had a Long Island Iced Tea). The wine sounds promising. I have been to Sydney, on my first HAL cruise from Auckland to Sydney. I'm beat. It's a lovely 68F and sunny out. I slept about 4 hours, then was off to pick up BFF, to take him for his MOHS procedure. For the first time, after about 5 first pass successes, he had to have a second pass. So we were for about 5 hours. Then we went to lunch. Then stopped at Aldi to pick up some things for us both, and took BFF home. Then the drive back to my house. @StLouisCruisers Thanks for starting us up today. Great photos from Sydney. Happy Birthday to your DN Lisa! @grapau27 Thanks for the explanations of days. @MISTER 67 Congrats on the golf score. @aliaschief Great photos. You deserve a good rest after the rigorous tour schedule you've had recently. @Cruzin Terri Sorry about your internet troubles. Happy Birthday to Jim! @kazu Good news that the foot nurse specialist got you on the right track and that the doctor gave you the ok to cruise. Just take it easy. @Quartzsite Cruiser Lovely photos from Sydney. Good news on the x-ray and lab work. When I had a hand US for RA, it showed a cyst in the middle of my hand, but no one seems bothered about it. @smitty34877 You and Tana deserve to take it easy, especially if you had a long day yesterday. I hope it recharges you both. @rafinmd Sorry to hear that the dentist found a tooth that has to go. Nice photos from Sydney. @Nickelpenny I just looked on my insurance company website this AM, and it said the authorization for my surgery on Monday is "processing"!! I hope the website is just behind, but I will make some calls tomorrow. @Cruising-along Great news about Amber! Continued prayers for her. Thanks for the photos from today's port. @luvteaching That is amazing about the kidney donation. Hugs for tomorrow. @durangoscots Good news from the Derm visit. @RMLincoln I'm sure the family is on edge. Hugs. Prayers for the Care List and a Toast to those Celebrating. 10. Tornado watch here from 6PM to midnight. Hopefully it comes to nothing.
  11. Good afternoon. Thanks for the FR/Daily @kazu @richwmn and maps @rafinmd. No one here to Blah, blah, blah. I don't know if any of my distant relatives came through Ellis Island, although some African slaves apparently did. Growing up, my next door neighbor had a '64 Mustang that he told me would be mine one day, but that never happened. Interesting quote. I'll pass on the meal and drink; maybe for the wine. I haven't been to Taormina. 2 good days in history. It's cloudy but warm here. We're supposed to get storms later today. I managed about 3 hours of sleep last night. I tried to do a little cleaning this morning, but had to sit down every few minutes. I want to go to bed early tonight, as I have to be up early (although I always am, but sometimes fall back asleep) tomorrow to take BFF for his 2nd Mohs surgery. @Haljo1935 I hope the MRIs are helpful for your care. Nice photos from Messina. @MISTER 67 My Pittsburgh Penguins didn't make the playoffs for the 2nd year in a row 😞. @grapau27 Thanks for the explanations. Happy Heavenly 102nd Birthday to Pauline's late Mam. I'm sorry to hear that Sarah isn't feeling well today. @kazu I am so sorry to hear about your foot pain. I hope an answer can be found so that you can still cruise. No doubt you're depressed over this. Prayers for you. @StLouisCruisers I'm sorry to hear of the death of your neighbor, and sad that she was alone. Lovely photos from Taormina. @cat shepard They'll call on Friday with the time, I'd think. @LambKnuckles Good news that you're feeling better. @Quartzsite Cruiser Thanks for the Taormina photos. @superoma Congrats on the newest family member! @Seasick Sailor Sorry to hear that your neighbors came back from a cruise with Covid; a good reminder, though, as most people seem to think it's gone away. @ottahand7 That's a great photo from years gone by. @aliaschief Thanks for sharing your great photos of the Taj Mahal! @ger_77 Condolences on the loss of your 2 friends from high school. I'm glad you had a good visit with the DGC and made it safely home with that bad weather. @marshhawk I was sad to read about your fall; I hope your soreness eases up soon. I'm surprised you were able to walk your neighbor's dog today. @VMax1700 Nice that you could meet with Ann and Pat. Thanks for the photos. @Cruising-along That is sad to hear that Amber had a stroke. I hope she can recover from it. Prayers for her and the family. @USN59-79 Welcome home! Sorry to hear of Sara's sciatica - I can relate. @bennybear Schizophrenic weather! Great Taormina photos. And the Mustangs. Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for those Celebrating.

  13. I'm back from my appointments, both in the same area. By the time I got back to my car, my leg was really paining me. I did go to the grocery store to pick up a prescription, but was nearly crying as I leaned on a shopping cart to get to the pharmacy area. I had no ability to actually pick up any groceries. Ugh. @StLouisCruisers Thanks for the update on LInda. When I had my surgery, I had a pillow thing under my arm that had to stay on and couldn't even get clothes on. A friend took pity on me, and I stayed at their house for a couple of weeks, wearing 2 hospital gowns on top. @marshhawk Good news on getting some hours of work. And also that 2 of the kitties have homes to go to. @Cruising-along Thanks for the update on Amber. It's surprising no one had checked her BP, like at the GYN office or some other medical setting. I had an older acquaintance that lost vision in one eye from untreated HTN - he disliked doctors. @YourWorldWithBill I believe @aliaschief uses that more expensive band. I'll see if I can find his post about it. The name was EmeTerm. They have a website and are on Amazon.
  14. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. Emancipation Day is an important one to celebrate. When I saw Foursquare Day I thought of my house, which is considered an American Foursquare. This was a type of Arts and Crafts style popular from the mid-1890s to the late 1930s. Some of the Bean Counters can relax now that tax day has passed. Good quote. I like the meal, drink and wine today. I haven't been to Whitehorse; on my one trip to Alaska we couldn't dock at Haines due to high winds. We had scheduled to ride the train from Skagway to Whitehorse. Another lovely day. It's already 70F and sunny. I feel like I got more sleep, although both my Fitbit and Apple Watch say 2 hours. I have medical appointments all afternoon, then a stop to pick up a prescription and a few groceries. @aliaschief Enjoy the trip to see the Taj Mahal. @StLouisCruisers Congrats to Ren on his game winning goal. I hope sister Linda is not having too much pain today. HBD to your niece and DGS. @richwmn Enjoy the PC transit. @LambKnuckles I'm glad you got a good report. Respiratory illness recently seem to have a cough for quite a while after you improve. @0106 Nice poem. @grapau27 I too had tears in my eyes reading that poem. @Mr. Boston Hugs to you on this sad anniversary and on the loss of your friend Lauren. @Gsel I hope your memories made with your DH will comfort you today. Welcome to the Daily. @smitty34877 I hope you can fit a little "me" time in; I'm sure you're right about the constant adrenaline rush. I hope Tana enjoys vegging today. @marshhawk Welcome to your new kittens. Thanks for the Carcross photos. @Quartzsite Cruiser Thanks for the Whitehorse photos. @Haljo1935 I hope your headache goes away soon. @RMLincoln Good of you to try to put together directions and lodging choices for the family. I'm glad DH's numbers are still good! @Cruising-along So sorry to hear about your friend's DIL. Prayers for her. Prayers for the Care List and a Toast to those Celebrating.

  16. Condolences on the passing of your colleague and friend Lauren to you, and her family and friends. Thanks for the input. I don't really think the air mattress will help, but BFF wanted to be doing something (just his presence is really enough). I'm going to try the recliner first; right now it just exacerbates the leg discomfort, as does lying in bed. I'm practicing going up the stairs using a cane, rather than on all fours as I've been doing. In my downstairs bathroom I had a higher toilet put in earlier this year. For upstairs I ordered a riser with handles.
  17. Good afternoon. Thanks for the FR/Daily @kazu @richwmn and maps @rafinmd. I haven't been to a McDonald's in years, but like their coffee. And Ronald McDonald House is a big asset to families. I used to know some ASL in the past. I'll salute One Boston Day. Typical quote by a comedian. I'll pass on the meal and maybe on the drink. Yes to the wine. I haven't been to Manzanillo. Very sad day in 1912 and a big accomplishment in 1947. Another lovely day here, now 73F and sunny. I'm inside however, as I can't do much outside other than sit. Another night of poor sleep. I'm doing some limited cleaning. BFF had brought over a large higher air mattress, so I have choices of it (in the DR, lol) or the recliner, if I feel tackling the steps is too much right after surgery. I need to coordinate when to do laundry, with the 3 days of Hibiclens showers before surgery. @StLouisCruisers Prayers that Linda's surgery went well and she is not in too much pain. I had a different type of shoulder surgery many years ago, and it was a long slog with PT, but great results. Lovely Manzanillo photos. @LambKnuckles I hope you get some answers from your doctor, so you can start feeling better. @aliaschief Such a unique experience you're having. @0106 I saw a wonderful story on the news about Spencer, the Boston marathon dog. @kochleffel We need to put you in bubble wrap! I hope the ankle isn't too painful. @Seasick Sailor I hope Ron's wife is feeling better soon. @AncientWanderer It sounds like you'll need the relaxation of the crossing after your hectic Japan schedule. @Cruzin Terri I'm sure the dementia practitioner will have a lot of helpful information and resources. @rafinmd You've got a busy schedule today. I hope the heart monitor results show nothing of concern. @smitty34877 Prayers for you, Tana, the teenager and all of the family. @RMLincoln Prayers for DSIL and all the family at this transition time. @quilty964 Hang in there with the starter; it took about 2 weeks for mine to become strong and rise well. A little rye flour added to all purpose flour, as part of the feeding, often helps (the rye flour has more nutrients for the organisms). Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for those Celebrating.

  19. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I hope we all can have a moment of laughter today. Dolphins are fun creatures. No ex-spouse here. Great quote. I like the meal, pass on the drink and yes to the wine. I haven't been to Hiroshima. One tragic and one good day in history. It continues to be very windy here, but it's 75F! There are probably lots of branches down in the yard. Severe storms are forecast for this evening. BFF came over yesterday and we got a good bit done. However, it wiped me out and I had a lot of pain in the evening. Subsequently, I slept very little, only about an hour. But I fell asleep while watching the news in bed this morning, and got another 2.5 hours, shocked to see it was 10:30 when I woke up! I'll putter around the house today, tidying up. And get the trash and recycling out for tomorrow. @LAFFNVEGAS Bon Voyage! @StLouisCruisers Great tree, as usual, by DD. @cruising sister I'm sure it was wonderful seeing the DGK's again. Congrats on booking the Antarctica cruise; I'd love to go again. Thanks for the update on Murphy; prayers for her continued improvement. @Denise T Just wow about that neighbor. It's sad that you don't feel safe and are considering moving because of him. @kochleffel Congrats! That's a wonderful commentary on your work. @Quartzsite Cruiser Great photos from Hiroshima. @marshhawk I'm glad the driveway got done. And yay on getting asked to work the small campaign; I hope you get it! @LambKnuckles I hope you feel better soon. I had a head cold and bronchitis last month, that lingered until I took an antibiotic. @aliaschief Your event looks amazing! Thanks for sharing. @bennybear Beautiful photos. Prayers for the Care List and I'll Celebrate with those who are Celebrating.
