  1. Yes - enjoyed a glass of port after dinner
  2. We enjoyed Embers and it was a nice change of pace from the heavier fare in Polo and Toscana. The filet mignon melts in your mouth and the crab cakes from Polo are now served in Embers, Request a table by the window or in the front section and not as noisy
  3. This type of drill is normal when sailing in that area - nothing new, We had those drills in that area several years ago,
  4. We sailed on Vista a few weeks ago and the procedure was the same - beverage package is noted on your room card. When the waiter came to the table and asked if we wanted anything to drink and when we said yes, asked if we had a beverage package. They took our room cards at the end of the meal to input in register and brought back to us. No signing of anything, We usually took our cards out and put on table so they could see we had a package and could take when they wanted,
  5. You do not have to book through Amex Travel to receive the $300 Amex cruise privilege perks. You must use your true Amex Platinum card to pay for the cruise. Then your TA contacts AMEX and receives a code from them to give to Oceania for the OBC. We have never booked with AMEX travel and have always received the OBC (when combinable with any sale we have used).
  6. Your assumptions do not follow our experience - we have been in a high level cabin and went online at midnight for the last 3 cruises and only had late time openings. So the late specialty reservations must be saved for everyone not in a Suite based upon our experience and your assumption. When onboard we checked to see about changing to earlier times and were able to for some. When we had an 8:30PM reservation and there were several empty tables, we asked the maitre d about it and he said lots of people fail to cancel their reservations and just do not show up. YMMV
  7. We also enjoyed Embers on our recent 32 days onboard - we tried several times to get an extra reservation while onboard and never was available
  8. No idea - only heard about Aquamar....
  9. I was told that they were going to add Aquamar to Marina in the La Reserve space.....
  10. Enjoy your travels on your new chosen travels and miss seeing you on the O forum since you no longer are sailing with them
  11. We just got off Vista after 32 days with the standard/SM drink package and never had a problem getting our drinks refilled at any dining venue....where did you observe this?
  12. I don't believe this is the first or second or third time you have stated that you are not going to sail O again over the last few years....unclear why you keep booking as it obviously not a good fit for you.
  13. We each ordered the same martini so brought 2 - one for each of us not 2 for one … bill was for 1 martini
  14. That is exactly what we did on Vista a few weeks ago....we ordered 2 of the same martini and were charged for one
  15. We just got off Vista about 2 weeks ago after being onboard for 32 days and were able to order the same drinks before, during and after Happy Hour and so did the people we sat with....never saw/heard anyone denied drinks for Happy Hour price.
  16. We were able to order any drink we wanted, did not look to see if they were on the menu.....did you order a drink and were told it was not included in Happy Hour ?
  17. Not sure where you are seeing so many negative reviews of Vista....we were just on Vista from Montreal to Los Angeles and had an amazing time. We have been on many O cruises and this was right at the top of all! Beautiful ship, amazing food, wonderful staff and excellent CD (Ray Carr). There were a few misses but so does my day to day life at home!
  18. Our agent forwards to us the O invoice showing all information including the T and C and we have a few days to read over before approving the payment of deposit..
  19. You and they are are not on the same cruise or booked at the same tine.....
  20. This is listed on our O invoice under cancelation....
  21. Categories PH and Below DAYS PRIOR TO CRUISE SAIL DATE - CANCELLATION AMOUNT 181+ Days prior - $150 Admin Fee pp 180-151 Days Prior - $500 Admin Fee pp 150-121 Days Prior - 25% of Fare 120-91 Days Prior - 50% of Fare 90-61 Days Prior - 75% of Fare 60-0 Days Prior - 100% of Fare Deposit PH-G - $500 P/Guest
  22. It also is listed on your Oceania invoice and in your account on the website under "manage bookings" with the date you can make reservations and how many
  23. Yes - that is correct but it became non transferable a while back
  24. The policy changed for bookings after 01SEPT - he indicated that he booked mid Sept so that is not retroactive...the policy change was announced in August not just now.....
