I don't know if it is true, but I have read on CC that you need to turn in the paper survey they give you onboard the ship within 3 days if you want the people you mention to be told. Are you sure it was the email survey that the people you talked with were talking about?

I had a claim a couple of years ago. I did not have Aon but another travel insurer. They reimbursed me the $28.

@KKB Thanks for the info but where did you start from? That would be a lot of money to go from an airport area hotel to the airport.

I don't see why you can't. We have booked two cruises that overlap until we decided which one we wanted. We had no problem with that. Sorry you got such wrong info from CS. Since they outsourced it seems their training is very much lacking.

@PacnGoNow If I have their booking # can I do the MDR reservations without the TA linking them? Is there a purpose of the TA linking the reservations?

Can one walk from one to the other?

Dh and I will be cruising next summer and someone we know has decided to join us. I gave her my TA's info and she booked with them. Is there a reason to link our reservations together? Can we? If so, does that mean when making MDR reservations on the app it will put us all together at the same table? Would we also be able to see where she is on the ship if we are not doing the same thing and want to find her? Thanks. We have never cruised with others before.

We have booked the Premier Inn on Bath Rd near Heathrow. We are a couple traveling with a friend. We will be returning home from Terminal 3 whereas our friend will be returning home from Terminal 2. Are we able to book a taxi for all of us to go to the two different locations or possibly a private transfer company? Not sure how it works nor how close the two terminals are and if we can all get off at the same place. Also does anyone know about how much it costs? Thanks for any help.

Disturbing that you and at least one other (if not 2) person has had trouble on their ship with the machines not working!

Just used my hairdryer. Not three pronged but one prong is wide so doesn’t fit my converter.

Thanks for the replies so far. I have decided that my next cruise I would try to use the hairdryers on ship and in the hotels. I recently returned from a Med cruise with several days in Athens. We did carry on only so I carried my hairdryer in my backpack. Made it heavier. I could use it on the ship but not in the hotel in Athens (or our one night in Barcelona) because US hair dryers have three prongs and my prong converter I brought with for the hotels only have two prongs. As for the Premier Inn, I'm leaning toward County Hall which I think is newer than Waterloo. If I book a Standard room will it have anything besides the bed to sit on? DH wakes up much earlier than me. I know the premiere rooms say they have a chair but the picture of the standard room looks like it has a not particularly comfortable small couch.

When we went to GS we prefaced by saying we were Elite. Next year we will be on the Sky. I wonder if they will give them out? Seems to be inconsistent between ships.

Because I read this thread before I left for my cruise on the Enchanted (Sept 2) I asked at GS for laundry tokens. They gave them to me. Asked again a few days later and got more. Maybe we were lucky?

I have read a lot of people liking Premier Inns. I am considering staying there in London at either County Hall or Waterloo. I understand they are extremely close to each other. Also thinking of one night in Southampton at the West Quay location. When I look for rates it shows me standard room and sometimes premier room. Under standard it does NOT show the symbol for air conditioning but does show one for hairdryer. Under premier it shows air conditioning but does NOT show hairdryer. Reading reviews many say they had a/c but don't say the type of room. So my questions are: Are there hairdryers in all rooms? Is there air in all rooms or only in the hotels that offer premier rooms? I would email them but don't see any email address. Thanks.

From port to hotel I was quoted in euros (don't remember how many but about 32) but he charged me in $ without asking me so I paid $37.27. From hotel to a/p at 3:30 am with no traffic (about 20 minutes. I think he drove fast)it was 43.45 Euros. I used Apple Pay for all rides and anything I charged. Never used it before and it worked great!
