I can't remember what is needed for login. If you share with your friends do you just let them know your login? Is it a new one or your Princess login? I assume your cabin # would also be needed.

When we went in 2019 with a 6 day land tour we debated doing the Connoisseur. We figured we would save a lot of money if we just did the Denali Explorer. We were not disappointed. We had no problems with dining at all. While on the bus or train we had narration of what we were seeing. I don't think I have ever read a negative review of Connoisseur and people who do the Denali Explorer don't seem to do a detailed review. My personal opinion is that you can't go wrong either way so it depends on what you can afford and your preferences.

@hallasm I have a question. You have said previously in this thread that in Olden one should get up before sunrise to view the sail in through the fjord. You said it takes 4-5 hours. What do you do if you are scheduled to be there at 7am? The date we are going, August 7, has a sunrise at 5:17 am so it seems that we will miss a few hours of sailing in the fjord. We leave at 4 pm so the daylight then we would see the same scenery we saw earlier in the morning. I assume to see what we missed then we would have to miss dinner or eat early and miss evening activities. I guess it is probably a choice to make. Do I understand correctly?

Thanks for the suggestions! Does anyone wear waterproof pants? An excursion of a couple of hours in pouring rain could be awful!

We are going on a Norway fjords cruise in August 2024. Looking at average weather for that month, I see that the average days of rain for the month in the ports we are going to are: 16 days, 11 days, 13 days, 16 days. What kind of rain gear do people buy? What kind of shoes? Will spraying a waterproof spray on leather sneakers be enough or will we need something else? Thanks for any suggestions.

I don't remember if they had it on my sailing this past September. I love pistachios but found that pudding to be way too thick and heavy. It's all subjective. YMMV

I refared my cruise a couple of months ago. My TA (a top agent with Princess) had no problem keeping my EZAir but for some reason lost my OBC for shareholder. Now that it goes through stock perks and they won't do it beyond July 1 (my cruise is in August) I now have to wait til Carnival renews the perk in May! Not pleased as I would use the OBC to help pay for excursions. Oh well.

This happened to me after final payment but before I was 45 days out. It took my TA to get me my refund. I read on here that people who booked through Princess with a vacation planner had an easier time because they contacted that planner who took care of it.

@SaltyDoggg I'm sorry you didn't have a good cruise. It happens on all lines. One should never base their opinion of a cruise line based on one cruise although I understand why someone may not want to try to cruise on it again. All ships sometimes have some issues. The people who were working on your cruise will go off contract at some point and go home. When they come back, they may or may not be on the Emerald. Hopefully, if enough people have a bad experience and complain, then things will change. It all starts at the top. Maybe it's the captain or maybe it is the director of hotel operations. If they don't do a good job running things then it definitely trickles down. Enjoy your future cruises on whatever line you pick but someday if the opportunity arises, try Princess again.

Thanks. For some reason when I downloaded the new app it would not let me sign in with my princess.com password. Said it was invalid. I had to login using my booking #. If I should book another cruise before sailing then I won't be able to see them both. I have no problem signing into princess.com.

Is my password for the new app the same as logging into princess.com?

Maybe this has been answered before but I could only login to the new app with my booking number. It didn't like my princess.com password. I have the old app which I am logged into. Did I have to provide a different login for that app and I forgot to write it down somewhere and that is what my login on the new app should be?

We turn off the water any time we go away, even if for the weekend! All you need is one water heater to fail and empty its contents. If water is turned on then the water heater keeps being fed more water!
