  1. After reading horror stories on here where Princess never purchased their tickets I asked for early ticketing 46 days before cruise. It was going to be non refundable the next day so why not? A few hours later I saw on the website the ticket#. We leave in 2.5 weeks and everything still shows. I just hope that our origin flight takes off (5:30 pm) on time with no weather or any other delays so we don't miss our connecting flight.
  2. I tried to find out what the rules were in the countries we are going to. Not easy at all!!! I sent emails to the embassies. Never heard back from Italy. Greece didn't answer all my questions. Spain didn't respond. I sent to Spain again and they responded to what was needed and said if I had any other questions just ask. So I did and they never responded. I figured if something happened and I or dh had to stay in the hospital for any length of time we needed to be compliant. Some drugs are addictive and you just can't stop taking them. What can you do if they don't respond? I have a letter from the doctor and original pill bottles (only two drugs). I'll be taking my chances.
  3. So sorry to hear this. We are like you. No sickness at all since pandemic started. We flew cross country for a large family affair in June and came home sickness free. Yay! Our cruise on the Enchanted is in three weeks. Even though we plan on always wearing our KN95 masks except while eating I don't think that is enough. I have read of others who say they did the same but got Covid. Maybe we will be lucky as not everyone gets sick.
  4. Not looking for opinions but what people actually did. How did men dress on "formal" nights? We are trying to take carry on only on our upcoming Med cruise and dh is debating as to whether to take a sport coat. He would LOVE to take it but might not have room so he wants to know how other men dressed. If he were to wear a nice shirt with tie he does not want to be one of the few who are dressing down. I have read that in general many people are being allowed in wearing shorts etc even on formal night. Please no opinions but just what was witnessed or what you wore. Thanks!
  5. Another idea is to hold them and if not going again to the Euro zone tell your friends you have some and when they go on a trip sell them at the official exchange rate you see online. Your friend will be pleased and you will get a decent exchange rate too. That is how I got some euros (and pounds) for my first European trip.
  6. We booked Welcome Pickups because my hotel recommended them and I also read about them on here. Haven't traveled yet so we shall see how things go.
  7. Sounds like you used a TA. Check with them. Might be a mistake.
  8. Thanks for the update. What an adventure! Glad you are home safely.
  9. You should read more because the changes COULD affect you. Casual eating places (Alfredos/Gigi's for example will no longer be free. IC still is). Room service is $5 each time. To set up your medallion (or whatever) so you can have something delivered wherever you are on ship now will cost $14.99 to activate. As I said before, please read the changes so you won't be surprised. It still may not affect you. Only eating at Alfredo's will affect us. Don't like that but not a big deal to me.
  10. How do you pay taxi driver? Does they hand you a payment machine or do I have to hand over my credit card? What about with Apple Pay? Do I have to hand over my phone? What are the logistics? Thanks.
  11. I thought of that too. We are in business class and I think that particular flight is actually first class (so not many seats).
  12. Good to know although it shouldn't happen.
  13. Happened to me with the cruise and flight I AM taking except when I called EZ Air they said I had to call Customer Service who said wait 10 business days for it to post. I called 2x. Had to get my TA involved for it to be resolved!
  14. Yes, other booking, two weeks earlier, is on another airline. AT 46 days out I asked for early ticketing to make sure it was done (after reading about someone's woes here on cc).
  15. Yes, but it is not the same pizza. I have never had room service pizza and like Alfredo's vegetarian pizza much much better than what you get out on Lido deck.
  16. That free pizza probably doesn't come from Alfredo's.
  17. @PacnGoNow I called Delta and they see it in their system but it is not ticketed. I'm going to leave it alone because Princess doesn't even show the booking in my personalizer.
  18. Cancelled the cruise and flight BEFORE final payment so never paid anything. You might be remembering my issue where I changed my flights after final payment but before 45 days and was looking for my credit.
  19. Many, many months ago I had two cruises booked but a couple of weeks apart. Wasn't sure which one I would take. I cancelled the later one and am taking the earlier one. The problem is EZ Air. Even though I cancelled the cruise and never did final payment I received an email from Delta a few months ago about flight changes. I ignored it. Fast forward to today and I received another email about a new change. It is about 6 weeks til that flight. On Delta's site it says I am confirmed and said that even before I cancelled that cruise. I'm thinking maybe EZ Air had paid for the flights even though it was before final payment? Should I do anything and if so should I contact EZ Air or Delta? DH is afraid if I contact EZ Air they will see my flight that is coming up in a few weeks for the cruise we are taking (not on Delta) and screw with that! What would you do?
  20. I understand they usual quote the price as per person/night. They did so in Alaska so I assume same thing everywhere. Ask. Usually much better off booking on your own.
  21. Thanks. I also posted on another site and Welcome Pickups was recommended by several people. I think I will book with them.
  22. Glad you enjoyed your lobster roll. In Boston it is traditionally served in a New England style hot dog bun that has butter on it and then grilled. When I took the New England cruise back in 2013 I got a lobster roll in Faneuil Hall Market place and was disappointed because they didn't use the traditional roll. The lobster was good though!
  23. We will be staying in Barcelona one night after our cruise. Our hotel, Hotel Colon, suggested a taxi or a service (whom I emailed and got an extremely high price). Our flight is on a Sunday at 6:05 am so probably no traffic issues. Should we just have the hotel call a taxi? For Athens our hotel suggested Welcome Pickups. I tried them for Barcelona and got a rate of 45 Euros (the service hotel suggested was 88 Euros!). What have you used?
