  1. The are cruiselines that do offer irons/boards for use in the staterooms. I use them all of the time........it is more stressful to me to be wrinkled. 😊
  2. This is good advice. I have done this and it does promote conversation. Just to be clear, when I went to the RCL CC arranged get together, it was for sail away but not a solo only event.... NP but I was surprised that it was well planned yet that's what happened, it made me laugh actually. I also waited for awhile, had one drink, then left. I found the RCL people to be a tough crowd, JMHO. 😛 Yes, I am stereotyping...lol.

  4. I'll put my experience here too. OP, it is not you. RCL, IMHO, is not good for solo travelers. I was on the Allure and ran into the same things you did. People were rude at times, not sure why. My cabin steward yelled at me for not leaving my cabin when he thought I should.....what? I also went to meet-ups planned on CC and no one showed. I have cruised on other lines and nothing this extreme happened; there were always nice people to talk to. As a solo traveler, again IMHO, we do not expect to attach ourselves to others but no reason to be rude. So sorry this happened to you too. Safe sailing!!

  6. Hi, Question: which category are the Vibe passes in for booking? For example, shore excursions etc. I did not see that information here, though I may have missed it. Thanks!
  7. Yes, print out your ressie. Often they will ask to see the reservation when going into the terminal building. No worries about the check-in thing. Just make sure you have all of your documents, passport etc with you to show them. Have fun!!! 😊

  9. Another thing which I thought is helpful to know, the AARP GC never expire. Not sure if the HAL reward part of the discount do. I believe they have in the past. Someone correct me please, if I am spreading misinformation...😎
  10. @smitty34877, thanks for the picture of Miss Camilla & Grandpa, it is joyful. I am not sure who has the cuter smile, both are adorable! lol Very glad she is growing and thriving. Love the curls in her hair!
  11. I just received my application renewal approval today, they sent me an e-mail which I didn't expect. No interview required. Good news for me, it took 4 months for the renewal.

  14. Doesn't mean the OP has to like it. Telling about your experiences do not really help here and now. Lots of people have traveled for many years, business and leisure (over 40 years myself). Telling the OP to let it go and what the OP should have done is disrespectful. The OP is here to express an opinion and vent as many have. This is CC where it is common to express opinions on cruising. IMHO

  16. @piglet55cc, I get it. I would be upset too. There are lots of factors that go into planning a vacation and you have been pretty much left in the lurch, even after final payment! Very bad customer service, IMO. Lots of people think that what they would do would work for you. That doesn't always work. Throwinging money/some sort of compensation at a problem, which is their fault, does not always work for people. The compensation you received here seems to have holes in it to use it and the increases in costs alone don't cover all of the vacation prices now. I am not sure why people/companies think that $$ always fixes errors. Good luck to you with whatever you decide.
  17. Not all pharmacists are PharmD's, some are a bachelors degreed. Varies from state to state.

  19. Two different kinds of doctors. Pharm D is a doctor of pharmacy, not a medical doctor. They are not able to diagnose or give clearance for travel, as described in the CDC verbage. They advise but cannot diagnose or prescribe drugs so not surprising that they will not write a note for a patient; it is beyond their scope of practice. Only a medical doctor can do that and no, medical doctors usually do not work as a pharmacist.

  21. Just to add another experience, I submitted my renewal in Feb 2022, they charged my CC, and when I go in to check, it says pending review. Since Feb! I just checked yesterday. It does say that the expiration date has been extended, so I am not worried. They have my money though...😛
  22. You probably would not have any recourse but I would not like that either Some of us choose our staterooms for a reason. As anyone who has cruised knows, the same category of a stateroom means nothing; very often not similar at all. Good customer service service would have at least notified or asked you, WTH? Why were you moved and not the other people? I would contact complaints after I got off the ship, since GS was no help. The hotel manager would be someone you may want to ask while on the ship. It would be intersting to see what they say. If no one asks about these types of bad customer service, they think it is OK. JMO. Hope you have/had a fun cruise! Safe sailing.

  24. I have a question about expiring points....August 2022? Where can I look to see which points expire when? I can`t say I have ever heard of them expiring, maybe I just didn`t know or forgot. Any help is appreciated. 😊
