  1. The walls are closing in. First jack up the refundable deposit fares to chase everyone towards non-refundable deposits. Then make the non-refundable deposits very non-refundable.
  2. Yeah, we will see what actually shakes out. Celebrity's announcements and bulletins are not normally masterpieces of clear communication. Still, if deposits are forfeited from changes with ship or sail date, you would have thought they would make that very clear in the FAQ (because it truly would be a frequently asked question!). As we all know, the FAQ "wasn't a Mozart" (one of my favorite Bill Cowher phrases following an ugly Steelers win).
  3. You had an existing booking and Celebrity elected to change your fare because an extra night was added?
  4. When I look at the new suite deposit policy effective on Jun1, it is silent on your question--so I presume that it has not changed. Question 12 makes it clear that a non-refundable suite deposit is forfeited if the booking is cancelled. Here is the link.
  5. The answer to the first FAQ is worded poorly. You do not lose your NRD if you switch sailings. You are charged $100 for each change. You lose the NRD if you cancel.
  6. In March, Celebrity announced the new procedures regarding NRD deposits and they published an FAQ which may answer your question. Here is the document: https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Celebrity/General_Info/CEL_2_23_23_FLY_Non-Refundable_FAQs_Trade.pdf
  7. Here is the thread from last November which monitored (with lotsa comments) the releases as they happened. If you read through them you will get more detail about which sailings were released on what dates (and in some cases the approximate hour of the night):
  8. As a guide, here is the schedule of releases for last year that was published on Nov 2: link The actual release date for Europe was delayed and came out on Dec 12-ish. The westbound Panama Canal cruise (Summit Apr 2024) was surprisingly released on Nov 15th. I was watching every day for it and was expecting it to come out with the Caribbean release. Eastbound Panama Canal sailing for 2024 was released later.
  9. At some point you may get comfortable enough to intersperse the photos with the text!
  10. I left the spa access out of the equation because it is not for everybody.
  11. I would agree that the penalty schedule doesn't look right.
  12. Please also send them the gif in Georgia_Peaches's email.
  13. Also Celebrity doesn't follow their fine print. Supposedly the Flash Sale does not apply to shore excursions on Holiday sailings and yet my upcoming Christmas/NYE cruise is littered with Flash Sale discounted shorex's.
  14. The fine print wording is so long that it is not easy to find. I have underlined it in red--the screenshot is the language at the bottom of my Cruise Planner screen (Wi-Fi page). If you click or tap on the screenshot, it will become larger and more readable.
  15. I just got my Memorial Day Flash Sale email an hour ago. Sheeesh. I would have missed all the price changing hullabaloo.
  16. depending on bad you want that shorex, it can be a bit nerve-wracking waiting for space to become available again.
  17. Perhaps this is still available through Celebrity: https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Celebrity/General_Info/CEL_Venice_to_Ravenna_Transfers_Flyer.pdf
  18. Yes, this is one of the biggest advantages with booking through Flights By Celebrity. I presume the person mentioned in the article, Diane Gainey, purchased their air fare through the airline or through some other means outside of Celebrity.
  19. Here in the USA we can go online to our Cruise Planner, click on our Order History, and then select the specific purchased item you want to cancel.
  20. Bring a bag with you so you can take back the leftovers.
  21. I hope their health care coverage includes therapy.
  22. Poor IT. They are a punching bag from both sides--Celebrity and their customers!
  23. Ruth, I think you were essentially saying this: the markup on Aqua over a regular veranda cabin is large enough that it is cheaper (or the same cost) to purchase a regular veranda and pay for your dinners at a specialty restaurant every night? That logic is usually what prevents me from trying Aqua for the first time.
