  1. That's not a cruise, that's a short term rental! Explains why you have been radio silent the past month. Welcome back.
  2. You mean like learning how to conceal your contraband better?
  3. What a balcony and killer view.
  4. Yes. Each aft balcony has an overhead awning that covers most of the balcony from above. Only the area closest to the railing is exposed from above. On the extreme right side of the photo that I posted, you can see the edge of the awning covering the Deck 7 aft balconies (Constellation). I believe the awnings on Constellation are designed differently than Summit, but the coverage is very similar.
  5. We have been on Deck 8 aft cabins on board Summit and 2 of her sister ships--most recently this past November. I would agree with Northern Aurora--I've only seen/heard a live singer with guitar. It's not very load or intrusive. It is usually around dinner time and not into the evening. 8185 is a very nice cabin with a very large balcony--bigger than the balconies for the other 5 cabins you mentioned. I would book it in a heartbeat. The views of the wake are mesmerizing. View from Stateroom 8188 on Constellation.
  6. Have a nice cruise. The ship and crew during our sailing were terrific.
  7. Our last cruise was on Constellation (Oct/Nov 2022) and although we were just in a regular balcony cabin, I am pretty sure that Concierge class has shower curtains. I like your avatar photo.
  8. I was waiting for you to say that a $1000 buys a lot of take out.
  9. No, all rice cookers that I know of are built for a specific voltage. Most that I have seen are 110/120 but there are 220v rice cookers out there. I am sure that the OP is in the know about this. BTW, some really nice rice cookers can set you back over $1000.
  10. You should be prepared for it to be taken from you upon boarding and then returned to you at the end of your cruise. On the other I wouldn't be surprised if you were able to take it to your cabin.
  11. Must be a very nice rice cooker?
  12. I wish they would bring back the Captains Club (Elite and above) Afternoon Tea event. It disappeared after Covid and has yet to make a return (kinda like the Connections party).
  13. As others have said, you will automatically have the "free" premium Wi-Fi as one of your options when you first connect to the ship's Wi-Fi and after you establish your logon credentials. The word "voucher" is a bit misleading as it suggests you have to present it to somebody.
  14. The answer is neither--she was not pushed out of drydock early at all, but rather delayed. The dry dock accident at Grand Bahama shipyard on Apr 1, 2019 affected both Equinox's and Silhouette's scheduled Revolution makeover. Silhouette was due to have her drydock in mid-January 2020 but it ended up being delayed a couple weeks and relocated to a shipyard at Cadiz. By mid-May, Celebrity cancelled our Jan 31 Silhouette cruise because of the drydock schedule change.
  15. But both of my cruises have the correct, original drink package prices.
  16. 1 out of 2 of my sailings have the Premium Wi-Fi pricing error. So not everyone may see that.
  17. Thanks for pointing that out. The Premium Wi-Fi for one of my sailings has dropped from $20.99/day (40% flash discount) to now $15.99 (40% flash discount). Celebrity is screwing up the undiscounted base price. As you pointed out, the premium wi-fi sale price is now cheaper than basic. I ended up cancelling my Basic Wi-Fi + Premium Upgrade Voucher and bought the Premium Wi-Fi instead. I saved another $56 because of their mistake. This error did not occur with the other sailing that has the Flash Sale going on.
  18. I agree. Not too long ago, Celebrity would not have charged existing bookings for the extra day(s) due to an itinerary change that they made. Charging for the extra days from itinerary changes seem to be the norm now. Last week, someone else reported that their 12 night September cruise was changed into a 13 night sailing and the price was increased by around $800 as a result.
  19. Is this "Memorial Day" sale a regional one?
  20. The terms and conditions for the sale make it clear that the Captains Club discount cannot be stacked onto of the discounts from the Flash Sale. Many have tried (including myself)--which sometimes involved talking to a supervisor--and I know of only one person who succeeded.
  21. You are right. It is titled that way, but it really is about the Memorial Day Flash Sale which is drinks and more.
  22. For Wi-Fi package or upgrade discounts it is: Classic: 10% Select: 25% Elite: 30% Elite+: 35% Zenith: complimentary premium wi-fi
  23. So I examined my email receipt and it shows me receiving the Elite Plus discount (35%) when I should have only gotten the Elite discount (30%). We are currently Elite but will be Elite Plus by the time we do this Panama Canal cruise next April, but I don't think that is how the applied discount works. However just like all the previous times I have ever called to get the combined Captains Club and pre-cruise discounts, my calculation for the cost never (or rarely) matches up with what I am actually charged. In this example, 2 packages (base price of $19.99/night/package) for a 14 night cruise with the 35% CC discount (and 14% pre-cruise discount), I come up with $312.88 vs the actual charge of $307.72. This kind of stuff drives me crazy. Anyone good at math that wants to explain this discrepancy to me?
  24. Two possible reasons: 1. Unusually high demand--like the self declared "unusually high call volume" that we are greeted with every time we call Celebrity. 2. IT could not figure out how to turn off the sale (and restore the original lower base pricing back into the system).
