  1. First, as others I think have pointed out, the complimentary Wi-Fi for being Elite is 90 minutes. The minutes do not have to be spent in one sitting. You can log on and log off to the Wi-Fi and you are charged the elapsed time against your 90 free minutes. And so you see that as one of the options in the screenshot I took and put in my prior post. I have observed multiple times that the employees at the iLounge are rather forgiving and generous if your Wi-Fi signal was lousy when you used your free minutes or if you forgot to log off and accidentally ran off your 90 minutes with your phone in your pocket. They will often put free minutes back onto your account. (After all, iLounge techs want a good rating from your post-survey when you evaluate them). Second, yes you have the option to buy Wi-Fi for a continuous day--one day at a time. You can buy this for whatever days you want and are not required to buy it for every day of the cruise. In my case that was for $35 (per day). The screenshot was taken on Oct 22, 2022 when we boarded Constellation.
  2. I don't know what's on E class, but most television sets these days have dropped the 3.5 mm headphone jack in favor of a Bluetooth connection which requires menu access to perform the pairing operation. It's possible to use an audio output (RCA or an optical out) on the back of the television along with a converter.
  3. Thanks for posting your in-depth review. It's disappointing for me to read how the kids club came up short for your kids. It's distressing to read about your dining experiences.
  4. That's why I think this sale variant (assuming no change in base fare as you say) is financially better for families booking triples and quads (esp in suites where 3rd/4th passenger fare is higher than normal stateroom). I think solos come out ahead, too.
  5. That mirrors my experience as well. Fortunately I was able to make dinner reservations myself for two different nights during our 5 night stay at Albergo del Senato last October. One big tip to those people looking who may book this restaurant: I found that Armando al Pantheon's online reservation system does not work properly with my Chrome web browser. There is no warning or error message telling you so--I was just unable to see any available dates. It was only after I switched to Microsoft's Edge web browser did it work for me.
  6. See Post #25 in this recent thread:
  7. I thought I read reports that Revolutionized cabin walls lost their attraction to magnets. Or maybe it was confined to the suites.....
  8. I just learned a new word. Now I have to figure out how to pronounce it.....
  9. Back in the 90's when our kids were smaller, Celebrity used to set up a Fun Factory desk located somewhere after the embarkation photo stand but before you got on the ship. There would be a couple of counselors there and our kids would meet them, register, and then get their plastic bracelets put on. It always put a smile on my face.
  10. Thanks. They used to cruise but they are in their 90's now. In fact today is my dad's 92nd birthday. So they cruise vicariously through my family's travels..
  11. I think it was offered as a general rule of thumb.
  12. 1. We go to stateroom to drop off bags and pick up SeaPass cards. I will check balcony furniture to make sure it is adequate. 2. We will both connect to the ship wi-fi and login to our wi-fi packages to get that established. 3. I head straight to the specialty restaurants to make reservations for rest of dining package. 4. My wife goes to the spa to make appointments. 5. I check on MDR seating/reservations (sometimes) 6. Somewhere in all this we do the muster drill on the app and check in at the muster station 7. Go to Oceanview Cafe for lunch. 8. Go back to stateroom to get things unpacked and setup; meet the stateroom attendant and discuss CPAP supplies (if we didn't receive them already), getting the refrigerator cleared, getting an ice bucket and water pitcher (and tip of course). 9. Call my parents via FaceTime and let them see the stateroom and the port from the balcony and to tell them we are having a good time. 10. Go to the bar to get a drink and head to the roll call sail away function (usually Sunset Bar).
  13. Yes, quite true. I am thinking that 39august is referring to the onboard booking perk (OBC) that you don't want to lose when cancelling/rebooking.
  14. An Alaskan cruise sounds like a wonderful way to celebrate a 30th anniversary. Based on last year, Celebrity will be releasing the 2025 Alaska season in mid-Nov. Here is the release schedule that Celebrity posted last year. You should monitor this forum in November to get the latest on when the new schedules come out. Here was last year's thread: link
  15. Yeah, they added that less than a year ago which is a very nice feature.
  16. When Corning Museum of Glass ran the Hot Glass at Sea venue, they did wonderful demos and they also offered classes--like today. They also did this (and still do) at Corning called Make Your Own Glass. CMOG, of course, also runs "real" intensive classes in Corning. When we talked to one of the Hollywood Hot Glass employees during our last cruise on Solstice in 2019, he took classes and interned at CMOG. CMOG's website still has the old Hot Glass at Sea webpage although the Celebrity ship they have pictured is Silhouette which (everyone knows) did not have the venue.
  17. The prior 75% off promo was applied against the 2nd passenger. The current 40% promotion is applied to all 3 passengers in your booking. 3rd person fare in a suite is fairly high. I would think that some of the savings came that way. No doubt the bulk of the savings came from a reduced (before discount) cruise fare. Congratulations.
  18. Coffee, lemonade, and iced tea are available from the drink stations in the Oceanview Cafe. You can bring your own water and soda on board although I don't know if there is a limit. When we used to do this, we would bring two 12 pack sleeves with us in our carry on luggage when we boarded.
  19. This article appeared yesterday in the New York Times website. The link below should allow you to access without the need for a subscription. New York Times: In Line? Online? Either Way, a Ticket to Frustration for Pantheon Tourists
  20. I would highly recommend Stefano's Rome Cabs. We used them with great success for our 1 day port stop in Rome.
  21. Yes, the Captains Club 5% discount can be applied against the normal priced Hot Glass class. The $114 price I quoted does not have that discount applied. The $59 price did not have the 5% discount figured into it either. Hopefully the doubling of price results in the inclusion of more glass pieces that can be made without an additional surcharge.
  22. Hi. Our original booking was with Millennium in the reverse direction (same direction as yours) and with an FV cabin (Christmas 2020) but COVID took that away. The cruise was 14 nights back then. After COVID, Celebrity reduced the cruise to 12 nights now as the overnights at Singapore and Hong Kong have been dropped. We made up for it by extending the number of nights we are staying at in Singapore and Hong Kong. Good luck with your Japan trip and I hope that there are no more overbooking problems that will affect you.
  23. Thanks for reporting back. King for a day.
