  1. I don't think holding future Celebrity bookings over their heads would make much difference or this problem would have been solved a long time ago.
  2. I presume you are trying to cancel this by going to your order history, pick out the specific order, and then clicking on "Cancel" (which yields the screenshot below)? There is no name removal that I am aware of.
  3. Lol. That happened to me as well on my last cruise (Oct 2022 Constellation). It was our first cruise since the COVID shutdown and so I was out of practice--I forgot to ask for a second lobster tail during the sailing's last evening chic night. I remembered it only after the waiter had finished taking our large table's order, walked away, and was gone. I didn't want to chase him down, so I figured "oh well". But, as you said, our waiter actually showed up with a second lobster tail for all the people at our table who ordered lobster for their dinner. It was a smart thing for him to do near the end of the cruise.
  4. I think you are saying that you don't have the Guest Ticket Booklet? It should be among the online cruise docs that are available for download. It is possible that this doc appears later like a month before your sailing date--so that would be on Aug 10.
  5. I will answer what I know off the top of my head: 1. luggage tags are usually on the last page of your Guest Ticket Booklet 2. I don't think Elites get free bottles of water 3. You will find that magnets will stick to the cabin doors, walls and ceiling. 4. Printed express pass is sufficient in lieu of the app. One time I was able to board with neither the app nor the express pass (not recommended). I hope you find your first Celebrity cruise an enjoyable one.
  6. During one of my Celebrity cruises some 20 years ago, I ordered a second lobster tail and I apologized to the Assistant Maitre d' because he was having to take the tail meat out of the shell twice. His response was very gracious of course as he told me it was not a problem. He then mentioned that there was a passenger that evening that had ordered 8 lobster tails....
  7. There is a publicly accessible information website that is actively maintained by Celebrity: TheCelebrityCommitment.com The website is intended for those in the travel trade which includes travel agents, tour operators, wholesalers, online retailers, etc (I am neither). The website is chock full of information It includes flyers such as the one that I just posted. The only problem with it is that it is cumbersome to wade through all the information and there is no easy way to tell if something is new since you last visited the site. Nevertheless, I am sure you will like it.
  8. Here is the flyer for the Flash Sale. There is nothing that says the sale is limited to certain ships. However it also doesn't mention that the sale is restricted to aby geographic region like the United States.
  9. Yes, I totally understand what you are saying. I guess it is because the Upgrade 2 Device option (2nd option in your post) does not have the flash sale discount.
  10. Yes, you are quite right. It has been noticed by others.
  11. I apologize, but I did not completely understand your question--or maybe it is better to say I didn't know exactly which question you were asking. For two passengers, you have these options to connect to the internet: 1. Buy a single device package and share that between the two passengers. Only one passenger can be on at a time and they will use the same login ID to access the internet. The system is smart enough to detect if a second user is logging in to use the internet in which case it will give the second user a warning message that if the login is completed, it will log the other user off. In that situation, the system is not polite enough to warn the first user that they have been kicked off the internet by the second user. The internet just stops working for the first user. Early on, my family of 4 would share one package leading to, "Mom/Dad, can I have the internet?". Or sometimes they just took it. 2. Buy a single device package for each person (a total of 2 packages for a total of 2 people). Both passengers can be online at the same time. Each passenger has their own login ID to access the internet with. 3. Buy a two device package for one passenger only. Both passengers can be online at the same time. Each passenger uses the same login ID but the system will allow two devices to access the internet simultaneously through that login ID. In my experience, option #3 is slightly cheaper than option #2 even though they are essentially equivalent. And of course, option #1 is cheaper than both #2 and #3--but you get less for it. I hope somewhere in there, I answered your question!
  12. If you cancel a shorex booking that is sold out, it takes a few minutes for the cancelled spot(s) to come back before you can rebook it again. If you bought the shorex with OBC, your OBC is credited back to your on-line total instantaneously which only heightens the worry and impatience while you wait for the cancelled spots to reappear (e.g. did the cancelled spots get snapped up by someone else? Did a wait-lister get it?).
  13. The cruise is also open to Buccaneer players (current and past), team mascot, and the Buccaneer cheerleaders. So I think that is the reason it is done during the offseason. Information link.
  14. A few years ago during a cruise on Solstice, we had dinner reservations to the Silk Harvest for $35 pp. I booked it online before the cruise. It turned out that for the night we had the reservations, Silk Harvest had a special menu with live music and that they were charging $45pp. Furthermore, we found out that our reservation had been moved to the next day with no notification that I was aware of--presumably because we only paid $35 pp for the normal dining experience. I didn't find this out until we actually showed up for our reserved dining time. Long story short, we ended up getting seat for our original dining time and at the original price, but it took some arm twisting by me to get the maitre d' to agree to it. Here is a link to the story I posted on it.
  15. The 2 device upgrade will allow you to have your phone and iPad connected to the internet at premium speeds simultaneously. The 1 device upgrade only allows you to have one device at a time connected to the internet at premium speeds (you can switch back and forth during your cruise, but only one device will be connected to the premium wi-fi at any one time).
  16. Aug 3rd Reuters article: Cruise Operators Plan to Hike Prices as Costs Rise, Demand Swells
  17. For our upcoming Solstice holiday sailing, Murano can now be booked for Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve for the special undiscounted price of $150 pp.
  18. Sometimes you have to work for your savings!
  19. It's always good to share this information because sometimes it's not clear how widespread the sale is. Unfortunately for me, none of my 3 future sailings including 2 on Solstice have any flash sales going on right now.
  20. I guess I shouldn't show you the selfie that I took with one of the agents.
  21. When we disembarked Constellation after last Nov's TA, there were six out of eight immigration stations open and staffed. We did not do the walk off as our flights were scheduled to leave TPA in the afternoon. It was pretty chaotic in the cruise terminal. The luggage pickup area was a mess and it was difficult to find and get to the immigration line because of the large amount of people and the gridlock. Disembarking at the Port of Tampa, Nov 6 2022
  22. As a primarily non-suite passenger, this moment happened for me with the surprise added fee for room service. Ironically our next cruise is in a suite on Xpedition which doesn't come with a butler of course. So far the premium suites seem to be unscathed.
  23. Here is a 2 page gratuities flyer that was issued this year, but no further clues on exactly when it was issued: link The first page mentions that an 18% gratuity is automatically added to specialty dining and spa purchases. The second page has several FAQs that clearly declare a 20% gratuity. So I can only conclude that the gratuity increase occurred sometime between the writing of the first and second pages....
  24. Regardless of this butler cutback, I hope that your cruise turns out to be a trip of a lifetime.
