I accidentally left mine bolted and left through our adjoining cabin, and was not able to open my door with my Medallion. I had to go back in through Mom's room. This was on the Sapphire.

I don't think it was up and running last September on Enchanted. I got an email invitation this week for our November cruise on the Discovery. The link didn't work so I had to call. It might be a different phone number, someone answered right away.

Salty Dog Pub was never open during the day when we were on the Discovery last year. We tried it but I wouldn't pay to eat there again.

Wasn't Cruising Easier Pre-Medallion?
donswife replied to SargassoPirate's topic in Princess Cruises
We love the medallions because it makes it so much easier to find each other on the ship. -
On Discovery Princess there was a soaking tub in our suite, but it did not have the jets. Bubble bath would still work as you fill the tub though.

Deck 14, between central and aft elevators. It is behind/across from the wedding chapel.

We had a premium suite A101, right under the bridge. We loved the layout with the large bedroom separated from the sitting area and the wonderful front facing window. It did require a lot of walking!

We ended up in a suite on the Discovery as a move over offer when our cruise on the Diamond was canceled due to delayed deployment of that ship. DH liked it so much and really wanted to try the Window suite, so we have one booked for November. I usually prefer the Grand class ships, and don't go in suites when I am with others than DH.

We had one of our best meals ever at the Bistro on Discovery Princess last November. We really enjoyed the salmon appetizer, and the fillet of beef was fabulous. I can feel my mouth watering just thinking about it. I enjoyed Sabatini's, but it was an overwhelming amount of food if you get all the courses. 3 of us dined there, and for some courses we ordered only 2 choices and shared.

In addition, you have the option of mimosas and espresso based coffee drinks included with suite breakfast. On the Royal class ships suites also have access to the concierge lounge and on 2 ships, an evening at 360, with wine and drinks included. It is more than enough for us! If we get a suite on a non-Royal class ship we would consider a package.

This is one of the reasons we don't bother with a package. The numbers simply don't justify it for us.

We have received the complementary specialty dining on our last 2 cruises in suites, 4 and 5 days length and have it pre-booked through the app for our next 5 day.

Why do they have them all lean for their photos? -
Overall the food was excellent. I didn't care for that dish either, and if we go again I will tell them I don't eat it. I don't like red wine, but the white and champagne were fine with me.

It's sounds like you still enjoyed it even without the elements of surprise that come with attending the first time. We are going on Discovery in a suite again 1 year after our first time.we were discussing whether it would be worth attending again.

When I added my credit card there was a box to check for authorization of travel companion.

Yes. I ordered the free version, and was trying to see the cost to ship pre-cruise. Instead, I got a message that it was too close to sail date and I have to pick up in the blue lane. Our cruise is in 100 days 🤣!

Josue and Vanessa were in the Concierge lounge on the Discovery last November. I enjoyed meeting them and Anna.

Ship, cabin category and shipboard credit also factor in. It is complicated!
-
There may also be limitations with tendering and excursions, even if they say "accessible".

Princess Perfect Proposal Experience?

I would be too terrified that the ring would roll into a crevasse! -
That's great! Thanks for sharing.

Ruby or Grand to Hawaii? Help me choose please.
donswife replied to breezer's topic in Princess Cruises
The Ruby has the advantage of Skywalker lounge and Adagio as great places to hang out on sea days. Unless you plan to use the indoor pool on the Grand or book a window suite, I would give the nod to Ruby.
