The better shape you are in, the easier it will probably go. Do your pre-surgery exercises (especially knee extensions). Elevate your leg as instructed, edema is one of the more common complications. You will do great! Enjoy your cruise.
Last year when it was brand new we received a phone call to schedule. This year I received an email telling me I could call. I remember seeing it in the app after the last update, so probably a couple of weeks ago (it might show in my comments history). I'm guessing that it doesn't open for general booking until the Suite guests are plugged in.
I recently made the same deliberation for our upcoming cruise out of San Pedro. I decided to pay the $10. I enjoy the excitement of getting them in the mail, and in case there is a blue lane back up, I would rather have them in hand.
Not OP, but I found the booking I made by phone a month or 2 ago showing up in the app at the correct time and day. We are in a suite, so there might be a lag on when other passengers can book.
I have a Galaxy A51, and verified that I have the newer version. It seems to be functioning properly. The only change I see is the Experiential Dining tab under DMW. (For Discovery Princess).
Specialty dining or 360? I would not be surprised if they open 360 for reservations later, after it is offered to the Suite guests. It is a really cool experience but not something that we personally would pay that much for.
I was looking at the app for my upcoming Discovery Princess cruise. It is now showing as an option to book 360 pre-cruise. It is listed under Experiential Dining (vs Specialty dining) in the Dine My Way tab.
Across the bottom of the app screen are several options. If you tap Dining, you should see this screen. If you tap View Dining Options, I thought it showed what is open. I have not been on a ship since April, so I could be mistaken. Worth a shot.
It fills in gradually as the cruise gets closer. I am departing in a month on a different ship, and there are bits and pieces filled in but none of the musical entertainment. Fear not! There will be plenty of options.
Does anyone know of a CD or current assistant CD named Cole? A couple of the Journey View activities for 11/29 Discovery Princess say "join your cruise director Cole". I've never noticed that named mentioned here.
That sounds frustrating! In my opinion you definitely did not have the typical Princess airport experience. We have used Princess transfers without EZair a number of times, but at airports for widely used cruise ports. Only a couple of Princess cruises embark in Honolulu each year, so they likely don't have any sort of routine down. I'm glad to hear customer service own up to the situation and gave you a refund.
When I ordered our medallions a couple of months ago, I was not able to choose to have them shipped to the house. I'm wondering if there is a noticeable difference in the check in lines. If so, I will cancel the current order and try again. We will be on the Discovery.
