  1. If they board guests at several ports on the cruise, they will have a fixed number of cabins available from each port. Perhaps the port you want is sold out. EM
  2. Since it was almost 0630 and I was already on deck 5, I decided to go to mdr for breakfast. Express breakfast, eggs over medium. I thought it came with toast. Found out you have to ask for the toast. Oh well, don’t need the carbs anyway
  3. This is what I was supposed to get…sometime… Sorry they posted sideways
  4. Arriving PC. Still no letter of instructions. Heading for guest services.
  5. I’m super frustrated at this point. It’s midnight, I’ve been to guest services three times the last two days, and still no envelope or letter of instructions about turnaround day of my B2B. Yes, I know what has to happen, just not how MSC will orchestrate it. My bags are packed, the carpet is wet but the storm appears to be over (they were mopping up in the sports bar, too). My watch and phone are on chargers. Another extra tidbit, and why this cabin attendant will not get any extra gratuity: I never opened my mini bar, figured it was stocked with stuff I would have to pay for and didn’t want. So Wednesday afternoon I opened it. Nothing to pay for there, but there was an almost empty bottle of water and two plates of cake, birthday or other. It had writing on it. I had to call her in and show it to her. And though I didn’t need them, she never brought a robe/slippers. Nor any ice. And a speaking of ice, the water in the MDR is bottled, Acquaint Panna, and always served room temp, no ice offered. No water pitchers as in the past. We do not pay for the water.
  6. Easy, but you have to be able to fit it through a 22” cabin door if you don’t have a HC cabin. And if you can get through the door that’s as far as you will get if your bed is by the bath. You can’t leave it in the hall, plus no way to charge it in hall. EM
  7. We were on a cruise on Armonia over Labor Day 2019. Seven days became nine, we missed Key West but got double Costa Maya and Cozumel. EM
  8. I think the above posted before…but the idiosyncrasies ofCC… it is White Night, combined with Italian night in mdr. You would have been right at home walking into the mdr…they were singing and dancing a la Carnival. Waiter said they only do it on Italian night.
  9. It’s WhiteAssuming you plan to explore outside the yacht club, I suggest you go to cruise deck plans and crest a pdf of all the public areas. They here is so much mirror decor that you can get confused as to where you are and want to go. You keep almost running into yourself. EM
  10. Having a terrific thunderstorm…and my balcony leaks…
  11. I had the caprese salad, sorry forgot pic, chicken park, and ice cream. Chicken was a bit dry and hard to cut. Not really hot, either. Not offered any Parmesan cheese, either.
  12. In mdr now. Extra charge is on menu from chefs selection through the entrees, plus on the second page from the Mac & cheese down. Also at least on this ship the Seashore mdr will become all My Choice dining for the 3 day cruises only.
  13. I will check on this tonight at dinner…but I am not in YC. Went to the Diamond reception party and had a nice chat with the finance officer. I think there might have been 25 there, no idea how many are on board. Had a nice chat with a local lady from PC, but originally Scotland. She said she heard next cruise Seashore MDR will be all My Choice. Need to check that out, too. Went to guest services yesterday to see if they need my boarding pass for tomorrow. The guy said they have a list of B2B, but didn’t look me up. Supposed to get that envelope… Wake from my nap to find luggage tags and debark instructions under the door. Guess I should trudge back to guest services…
  14. Ummm…but there isn’t an elevator in the sports bar… No real baseball tonight until 10pm. All day tennis and little league World Series
  15. Sitting in the shade outside Sports Bar. We are just creeping along, hardly any wake at all. Came down to buffet and managed to find the sticky buns. Also had a small cheese omelet. I don’t know what kind of white cheese they use but as to taste… it might as well not be there. It was the same with my bespoke omelet. 0930 seems to be the time for folks to show up for breakfast. Don’t know if they partied last night, or where. It rained again and beach party was canceled. They said it would be too muddy? But they did the light show. I didn’t go out to watch but caught it on the bridgecam. I think I can see Miami on the port horizon. Got an invite to the diamond party at 1100. By
  16. Last night on Seaside the table next to me were working on appetizers when I was seated. She had the mussel dish, then the Caesar salad, the shrimp risotto, and the seafood dish. He had steak Diane. After they left I asked waiter if they were charged extra. He said yes, but that the money goes towards Ocean Cay. EM
  17. I’m the sports bar, baseball is Angels at Texas. Also tennis on. There is a fellow at the bar vaping. Looking around it seems some folk thought this should be an elegant night. Others not so much. I had on my tropical dress but got too cold so changed into long pants. Went to the show and froze. At least I chose a better seat. There was a very noisy group in one of the alcoves in the sports bar last night. They are back tonight but not in an alcove. I sat next but moved. I recognized one lady’s cackle. Having my second drink of the cruise: Diet Coke on the rocks with a twist of lime. The first was at the Bearded Clam in Nassau. Right now this is where the action is. One hefty middle aged lady either fell off or over a barstool. Someone else broke something that sounded like it exploded. A table in the corner includes a child not walking yet He seems to be enjoying his binky. The soap dispenser in my shower does not work. Fortunately the shampoo does. My cabin is very humid, almost 80%. Everything feels damp.
  18. Sitting in the theater waiting for the show At supper tonight saw two fellas in tank tops. Don’t know if shorts or not Sat down next to a couple who had already started. She was eating the mussel appetizer, then had Caesar salads then the shrimp risotto and the fish entree. She only ate a couple bites of it. Husband had the steak Diane. After they left, I asked our waiter if they paid for the entree. He said yes, but the fee goes into the work at Ocean Cay. Anyway, I had the wedge salad - sorry, forgot a pic. Then was steak Diane and cheesecake. I was going to try the chicken and waffles until I realized the only sauce was hot honey
  19. It might be a short run, but an easy place to pick up another fare. EM
  20. On Seaside now and in sports bar they have ESPN2 playing. As well as tennis. I expect it will switch to Braves baseball this evening as I think it is a Bally channel. EM
  21. The key to packing is to have versatile clothing. I have three knit tank dresses that can be daytime , evening with jewelry and a shawl, beach coverup, and nightgown. I’m on Seaside now for a 4/3 B2B. I also travel carryon and backpack. Fortunately I can drive to port Canaveral. I packed two dresses, three long pants and one pair shorts; one skirt and to my shame, 10 tops. One pair pewter sandals for evenings, two daytime sandals and water shoes. And a nightgown. And I didn’t have to expand my suitcase. Oh yes, and a bathing suit, though I likely won’t wear it. And some underwear. Everything I travel with is lightweight and can be hand washed if necessary. EM
  22. Well, here goes. Being an old lady, I don’t do beaches any more. My dermatologist is tired of taking divots off my forehead. Anyway, I had a nap while it finished raining, and went ashore. I wandered down maybe half the paths, came back and got on the super stretched golf cart transportation and rode the circuit, only seeing a little more than I walked. It’s quite different from HMC, Princess Cays, Harvest Caye…the sand is more gritty than HMC. I had water shoes but didn’t stray onto the beach. Maybe the next cruise when we overnight there. The restaurant was busy, the food trucks not as much. After my donut and sticky bun splurge there was no need. There are plenty of beaches, I don’t see how any could get crowded. I saw more beach wheelchairs, there were scooters on the paths, and I saw a life guard riding a bicycle with beach tires. After the rain it was cloudy with a refreshing breeze everywhere. Pictures to come when I switch to my phone.
