  1. That is disappointing. I met the Future Cruise/Captain's Circle person on my recent cruise. It was for Captain's Circle events. She was very pleasant. While I did not have any Captain's Circle issues I would think she would have been happy to assist, providing the Princess system is showing the information as the passenger indicates. If the poster can't make the correction before boarding then the only choice remaining is to try once on board.
  2. If all else fails you can take care of it once on board. If her folio requires adjusting once on board passenger services should be able to take care of that.
  3. Each person, adult or child has their own on board folio. When all 3 persons in the cabin are linked to the same payment, credit card, account then there also will be a summary amount. Charges incurred by the 3rd person will be added as they occur and then netted against the other two accounts. Dining. Just make dining reservations for 3. If the 3rd person does not show, mention to the DR greeter when you show for dinner. No issues.
  4. I travelled solo. Answer, probably, but there is no answer that always applies. When you get to the DR indicate that you have a reservation and that you wish to dine as a single. You may be offered a share table, but you can decline. If you show each evening at the same time you most likely will be seated at the same table.
  5. 1. Where? 2. Part of the problem is that one of the couple orders a drink for each and the two drinks are placed against one individuals account. I don't believe your scenario is realistic. If it is the problem isn't the accounting system.
  6. The system needs to be tightened up. I was on a recent b2b. Most times in Crooner's and Lido Bar I never even had to say anything, show or scan the medallion. The waiters knew me by name. I did scan each time at the I.C. when ordering specialty coffee drinks. I had the plus fare. If someone's coffee drink was charged to my account I would never know. The same for alcoholic drinks. Unless I maxed out I would not know. I really never had more than 5 or 6 drinks a day so the account could receive lots of drinks without me ever knowing. I did notice sometimes at the I.C. they just gave me the brewed coffee without recording anything. The same at the bar when I ordered a can of soda. I also noticed they always recorded an alcoholic drink. The roaming waiters also recorded everything on their hand helds. Some ideas. Better if folios showed beverage usage? Separate page? Better if plus fare cabin mates who are linked receive a total amount of alcoholic beverages vs individual amounts?
  7. We also had face recognition which was operated by terminal employees, not immigration. agents. I did notice one individual that was referred to one of the agents.
  8. Early Walk off began around 7:30 and ran until around 8pm on the Ruby a few weeks ago. Walk off groups were controlled so that the gangway did not get over crowded. Escalator use requires a free hand for the handrail. They will not allow you on without the free hand. Without a free hand you will have to use the elevator which has some short delays. You wheel off all your own luggage, go through immigration/customs. I did not receive a questionnaire to select a disembarkation time. Suggest you visit Passenger Services during the cruise and request early walk off.

Yes, different vibe for single sailing longer cruises and less youth. Even when you put voyages together on your own as one, two, three or more b2bs your experience differs. The on board schedule becomes more calm. See a production show last week? No need to see it again. Different guest entertainers and comedians come on board. You develop a closer relationship with some crew members. For me it's maybe I'll skip the MDR tonight, go to one of the other venues. Ports. I've been to that port many times, no need to go ashore, enjoy the ship when most of the passengers are off. If you have the time and funds, try it. I'm am never bored.
  11. To add to my post. The cabin acess screens were not set up. Doors are blocked open. Intransitive passenger cabin screen was operational and door closed.
  12. Many do. On those 20 day b2bs sailing from Ft. Lauderdale there are maybe 500+ doing the turn arounds. So maybe 15% or more. Percentage depends the the passenger capacity of the ship. Very popular.
  13. On the Ruby a month ago the fire doors were closed to the hallways. Some are alarmed. It was possible to access the cabin, but you had to find the proper fire door that was slightly ajar, at least on my deck. I was an intransit passenger and had to return to my cabin. My cabin was fully prepared, but others were not. Full access was just a little before 1pm. There were many announcements not to go to your cabins before they are ready. Housekeeping really do not want you there. On the initial boarding my suitcase was delivered around 3pm. By looking in the hall I was one of the early ones.
  14. The terminal will open once most of the disembarking passengers have been cleared, that is around 9:30. There is no priority getting into the terminal and going through security. It's on big line. Once through security the line splits into green lane, those with their medallions and blue lane, those without. It took me less than 5 minutes to pick up mine at the pier. As others have stated boarding may begin as early as 10:30, but it might be closer to 11am. Once baarding begins it goes quickly.
  15. You will have a daily crew appreciation charge to your on board account. The amount is US$ 16, 17 or 18 depending on the category of your cabin. You will pay for wifi internet. I believe it's $30/day, single device, if you purchase for the entire cruise for those without loyalty status. Single days are available and I believe the cost is higher. You will pay for any alcoholic beverages and most non alcoholic ones. Coffee & tea in the DR and at the buffet are no charge. Breakfast juices are no charge. Ice tea and lemonade are also no charge as are glasses of water. Food items in the DRs, buffet, International Cafe, as well as the locations by the pool are also no charge. Room Service food is also no charge, but there is a one time fee of $15 to order using the app and a $5 fee each time you use the phone to order room service. The breakfast door hang tag is no extra charge. There are some special food items that have an upcharge. If you want specialty coffee/espresso drinks there is a charge in the range of $4/$5. Sodas are in the $3 range. Plus Fare. I have done the calculations many different ways. I always come up with a similar answer. It takes around 3 alcoholic beverages per day to break even. But, if you do not intend to use the internet on board and will not purchase it, the number of alcoholic beverages to break even would increase to around 5 to 6.

  17. I took a taxi. The ride is about a 1/2 hour.
  18. Yes you can use any OBC in the casino. Just charge play to your on board account. The accounting system will automatically use non refundable OBCfirst, then refundable. You can not use the casino as an ATM. you must actually play.
  19. Just off the Ruby a few weeks ago. No one ever checked loyalty level when entering the PES afternoon cocktail hour. It also was not very crowded.
  20. There are a bunch of sailings from Boston this summer. Some are not RT but one way to Quebec City. You can make them RT by booking b2b. Take a look to see what is available.
  21. Go to Princess.com, Find Cruises, Start/End Point, Select New York, to see sailings from New York. Princess typically sails from NYC to New England & Quebec in late summer and fall. They have also added some NYC sailings on the Island Princess and there are a few repositioning cruises. They don't have weekly sailings year round as some other lines do.
  22. You have to check your OBC as mentioned in post #2. If the TAs OBC is mentioned there it can be used to pre-book excursions. Some TA OBC is not applied until final payment, and sometimes not until you actually board. If it does not show then your have to inquire with your TA.
  23. I had the same issue. I was told on board that it probably was because I did not enter my credit card in the Shoreside section of the app, but the tech that answered was really not certain. The outcome wasn't any real problem. It took less than 5 minutes to pick up at the pier in Ft. Lauderdale.
  24. Bigger cabin to park the scooter, but it must fit through the door.
  25. Just ask for a new one once on board.
