  1. I can't even guess why. I use a desk top. Comes right up.
  2. All purchased alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages are menu priced plus an 18% service charge. Example, you will be charged $11.80 for a $10 menu priced beverage. Plus and premier packages include the service charge. Nothing is charged to your accounts for drinks within the dollar limits.
  3. As far as I know you must be in a full suite to dine at Sabatini's for breakfast. Princess has been strict on that. It's the same with Reserve Class dining. You have to be a in a qualified cabin to dine there. What is an SEM? You can dine with them in the normal DRs, specialty and casual restaurants and room service.
  4. If it was me I would just call my TA and ask them to add the package.
  5. You need to have your Princess records changed to match your passport names. It may cause other difficulties beyond EZ Air. You probably have to write to Princess
  6. It becomes part of the fare. You pay at the time of final payment. You can also add once aboard on boarding day. Same cost, you don't have to pay the insurance and the costs will net against any OBC.
  7. Think of a medallion as another form of cruise card. There is no charge for them. They come with a lanyard. Most carry them other ways. They are shipped to you pre cruise , US & Canada, if you completed all the check in info and you have the plus or premier fare. You can also pick them up at the pier. Nothing to fear. Medallions are harmless.
  8. On the Princess.com web site log in. Scroll down all the way to the bottom. Under Cruise Deals you will see refer-a-friend. Select and the screen comes up.
  9. I think you are on the Emerald Princess which is scheduled to arrive in Boston at 7am. If this is correct passengers will all disembark by 9:30/10:00am. I see no reason why boarding will be delayed. You should be able to check in and board as normal.
  10. When you board check in at your muster station while waiting for your cabin to be ready. They are on deck 7.
  11. Any alcohol bottles purchased on board will be delivered to your cabin on the last day of the cruise. There may or may not be promos on boarding day or any other day. No alcohol is sold until the ship reaches international waters.
  12. You have plenty of time. By cab it's around 30 minute drive to the Red Hook cruise pier, maybe an hour if there is lots of traffic.
  13. 90 minutes before sailing time, 2:30 in your case. The cruise line is required to provide a manifest of passengers to the authorities 60 minutes prior to sailing. I wouldn't cut it too close.
  14. Yes & mostly yes. Yes on daily gratuities. For those with the standard fare gratuities are posted to your accounts daily and net against any credit balance (OBC). For casino slot play you select charge to your on board account. Again the amount nets against any credit balance. For table play you ask the dealer to charge your chip purchase to your on board account, and again it will net against any credit balance. The big difference with casino play is that you must play some. You can not use the casino as an ATM. If you do not play enough, what is enough is really a question, your casino account will be locked.
  15. I grew up in Fair Lawn where my family owned property since around 1880. McBride Industrial Park and 208 as well as the Elmary Pl homes were part of the family property. At one time 8 related families had homes on the original property. Today, one remains on Elmary Place, named after my grandmother.
  16. I purchase the fully refundable $100 Future Cruise Deposits (FCDs) while on board. Then when I return home I research where and when I wish to sail when I'm not on a cruise high. No real fare reductions if booked on board. The on board sales person may try to push expensive packages that seem great and cost lots of money. I recommend staying away from them. FCDs will be refunded in full if not used to book a cruise within one year from date of purchase. The $100 is the full deposit for most cruises, world cruises excepted. Once used as a deposit they are subject to the terms on the booking. FCDs are individual. If you are a couple each one needs the the FCD to take advantage of reduced deposit and OBC.
  17. Not going to happen. The $$$ and largest demand are in the the warm weather, south in winter, northern itineraries in summer. Also more demand for one week cruises.
  18. Believe you are looking at what is really two 7 day cruises. Try booking as two 7 day cruises. There probably will be cabins available. I always book b2bs in this manner. Provides additional flexibility with very little, if any, penalties. It may actually be a better deal.
  19. It's possible to do some swimming. In Alaska the pools should not be overcrowded. The pools are really more for just hanging or moving around and not really for laps. If you really want aerobic exercise probably better to walk or run on the deck 18 track. I remember it being 7 laps/mile, but my memory may be off a little. There may also be a no charge Zumba like session each day. Check out the activity listings.
  20. I think this post is referencing RC, not Princess. Princess' buffets remain open until later in the evening.
  21. On Princess sometimes I head to the buffet for a late evening snack. It may close around 11pm. Not actually certain other than I have gone there. The International Cafe which serves a variety of foods and desserts is open 24/7 and it's right next to a bar.
  22. Clear cabin by 8am. You shouldn't linger much longer than that. Cabins have to be turned around for embarking passengers. Last debark call normally around 9:30am. Ship must be totally cleared of passengers before any new passengers can board. DR open for breakfast usually from 6am to around 8:30.
  23. You have time. Renew your passport. Don't try to take a shortcut. It's not Princess. It's the countries you are visiting. If something happens you can't easily fly home.
