It depends if you run warm or cold. For me it was perfect, but my companion was cold. Really hard to be specific.

Will be very interested to see the responses. We are going on our ninth cruise to Alaska in a month on the solstice, and we've always seen the small ship leave and wondered if it would be worth it. The comments I've read were yes it was a great excursion. Often times the celebrity ship has gotten close but that small ship is that much closer. We decided to bite the bullet and do it this time, I'm sure it will be a one and done, but we're going to take advantage.

Exactly what happened to us. There was a lovely woman at the pool who worked so hard and was so sweet. I saw an officer and told him about her, and later she told me she got a scratch off and it was extra Wi-Fi. She was very excited and certainly deserved it (plus my extra tip!!).

Thank you for all the info you have provided. You often posted sheets that had info about the ports and shuttles to different sights. Was that only for retreat guest or does everyone get that info?

I appreciate your response. I don't think the tour operator wants to say no because they would rather I commit to the alternative. Since I do not like the alternative, I would rather know the truth!!

Does anyone know how I can find out if Trollstigen has opened? My tour operator says as of today it is not open, and our excursion is in one week. They have offered an alternative excursion, but I would not take the one they offered so I would have to cancel in the next 5 days to get my money back. Is there any site I can check?

I can understand that. I've never been on a 9 day cruise with bad weather every single day. With a regular veranda or an infinite veranda, I'd be very unhappy! Glad you enjoyed it.

Does anyone know where to find the list of liquor brands on the premium package. I know I've seen it before but when I searched online I couldn't find it.

I still enjoy my Aqua cabin on M-class and S-class ships when it rains. Just as much protection with the balcony doors, so I don't think that is an advantage.

Same for us, every time we pay to upgrade, we get the upgraded points. (Of course it's different if you do a move up).

It's all a matter of opinion. We do spend time on our balcony and for me, I don't love just looking out the window on a cruise. I think the older ships have a lot of character and I can always find nooks and crannies. I'm not a spa person so that doesn't matter. Also I don't agree that there are better dining options 3x a day. I do like the four dining rooms on Edge class but that is one meal a day, and I find the options for breakfast and lunch pretty similar on all Celebrity ships.

There aren't alot of theme nights on celebrity. Lately people have said that for the full moon they have a "sparkly party" or white party, but it is definitely not a mandatory thing to dress specifically, it is just a deck party, and it doesn't happen on every cruise.

Like you, after 34 Celebrity cruises, I never thought the Captain mattered. But Captain Tasos, especially paired with Alejandro was incredible. At Liars Club, we laughed until our stomach hurt, and we even looked forward to daily announcements. They were both wonderful.
