    Not a big deal, it's similar...I think they call this a side-to-side?

I'm going to spend a few afternoons/evenings in Disney while I'm in Orlando! We've been a few times, but looking forward to riding Tron for the first time!

Good job on maximizing your vacation and work schedules!

We haven't been to WDW post Covid. We've been Disney Vacation Club members since 1999. We bought at the BoardWalk when our daughter was your children's ages.

I've decided I'm going to give first impression scores that I will update as I have further experiences since it's not fair or complete to give a score card on a single experience.

I will give a complete score at the completion of the cruise (or shortly thereafter).

I'm also doing the YC solo on the Seashore next week so if this goes well, I'll do a comparison on things on the Seashore next week as well.

    Ciao!

That's great that you will be able to sail with your family and then solo.

It will certainly be interesting to read your comments about the two experiences.

Also will be interesting to hear about the B2B process in YC.

    Enjoy!

Same here.     Looks nice but so fare the size of the ships and passenger load are a deterrent to examine further at this time.   We have gravitated to smaller ships like Oceania and SilverSea.   Each has their advantages and disadvantages as we seek a better fit than the recent X experiences.

@Jim_Iain we love SeaDream and Seabourne but their itineraries don't work for us since DH retirement as he teaches fullime at our alma mater.

This May cruise is a test run for us. It leaves from NY which is a three-hour drive for us. We probably won't leave the YC enclave. For us the ship is the destination.

Right there with you  on recent X experiences.

  4. Wishing you fair winds and following seas @DaKahuna🥂

@DJ's DH and I are in the same 🛳️ with our first YC coming up in May.

We have sailed on X in Royal and Celebrity suites but we can' justify the prices. We've sailed in suites on RCCL, Disney, Princess, SB and SeaDream as well. Love SB and SeaDream but scheduling doesn't work for us since @DJ's DH is teaching full-time after retiring from industry🙃

Your electronics pack looks similar to @DJ's DH so he will be interested in connectivity.

    Looking forward to your report!

Thanks for the words of encouragement.  We are among the Celebrity Retreat guest that were encouraged to try MSC YC by a review that @generation-x did last year.  I am lalso ucky that I have to very seasoned travelers on the same cruise with me whose knowledge I have been drawing on.  @JamieLogical, who has already started her live review and @Mark_T who will also be sailing in the YC.

I normally do a live review, as evidenced by my signature, since I was inspired by @Jim_Iain a few years ago to do one and plan to start mine in a couple of days.

We are right there with you John @DaKahuna. Can't wait to read your review.

We don't sail until May in YC.

  6. Thanks so much @jcpc🥂

I see some decent wines on their included list.

I am guessing that if you want something off the Connoisseurs' Selection by the glass you pay the difference? Also I am guessing will hold the bottle in the restaurant if you don't finish it that evening.

  7. Wondering what time the buffet/grill and bar are open on the YC Sun Deck.

I would love to have a drink and snack/appetizer al fresco before heading down the YC Restaurant for dinner. We love to be outdoors as much as possible when we cruise.

Now I do not feel so bad about my 104 days until we cruise.

I am sure you can get corned beef hash but I have looked at the menu's that have been posted and do not see it.   I will make sure to order it on my cruise and post my results just for you.

    Much appreciated @DaKahuna!

  9. We're booked for our birthdays and anniversary cruise in May on Meraviglia

    in YC🥂

So yet another silly question ... it is going to be a long 202 days🙃

Wondering if we can get corned beef hash for breakfast in either the YC Dining Room or at the buffet.

    I know we won't starve 🍽️
