  1. My mistake! We were originally bootked on Crown for AK in 2020, which of course was cancelled and rescheuled more than once due to Covid. We are now booked on Sapphire for AK 2023, but I guess I still had the Crown layout in mind as this question came up. Thanks for the reminder and clarification!
  2. Our experience in booking specialty dining in advance was that our credit card was charged. I had read on these boards that we could make adjustments at guest services. All they could do was cancel our reservation for the credit to be returned to our card. Then we had to go to the specialty restaurant to rebook our reservation. It was a little frustrating and we weren't able to rebook the same day/time we had. Not sure how that was no longer available in the 5 minutes it took to walk from guest services to the venue, but we ended up with a workable solution. Next time, I'd just wait until onboard and go to specialty restaurant upon boarding.
  3. Does anyone know the venue where this is held on the Sapphire Princess? It's typically been in Skywalkers on sister ships, but since Sapphire no longer has this venue, I'm curious where it will be for an upcoming cruise on Sapphire. Thanks!
  4. Yes, I get the same. When checking on the airline website, there has been a change, but it hasn't been updated in my personalizer. The change took place more than a week ago. It seems the EZAir is slow to update and often isn't matching actual flight info. This is why I use the airline's site to check for any flight changes. I'm not at 45 days before travel (when EZAir payment is supposed to be made) yet, but once I am, I will start contacting EZ Air about any discrepancies.
  5. Hello fellow cruisers, We primarily sail Princess and Celebrity, but are booked on HAL NA. We love the aft facing balconies on some Princess ships, but not so much on Celebrity due to the lack of cover and privacy. What are the aft facing balconies on HAL like in terms of being covered for protection from sun/rain as well as privacy i.e. balconies above ability to see into the balcony. Are balconies deeper on certain decks? I've searched CC, Google, and a site that offers cruiser's photos, but can't find quite the info I am seeking. Can anyone with experience with these cabins help? Thank you!
  6. For the Equinos, would this be the Alcoves - At Port? I see that in the dining section of the planner, but it does not appear to inlude alcoholic beverages. See copied info from website below.   7. We didn't get our first choice, but did get our second, which is still a great itinerary.
  8. I've called 3-4 times this week with less than a 5 minute wait, so not sure the issue. Of course, I was calling about a new booking so that may make a difference. Maybe select that option and see if the person who answers can help?
  9. Has anyone had success in receiving the shareholder OBC on a Blue Chip Club cruise? My submission was denied due to the cruise fare coding.
  10. No, it isn't for me. The workaround is to log in from manage cruise, but that only works since Wednesday when I booked a cruise. Without a booking, I was stuck in a loop that would never complete the log in.
  11. This was not my experience. We booked before boarding using our credit card. Since it was pre-paid, there was no "charge" for Crown Grill on our onboard account. I had actually attempted to request the charge be refunded and switched to OBC at guest services after we boarded, but was told that was not possible despite a Princess chat rep telling me that was the way to handle.
  12. FYI, on our cuise last month, I overheard the barista at the IC explaining to a passenger that the coffee package was not able to be carried over to the next segment. The passenger was staying on for the next sailing.
  13. I didn't realize you were posting a live trip report during this cruise - no wonder you were more disappointed with the internet speed!   14. We booked through EZ Air for an afternoon JetBlue flight for embarkation port. We are now 27 days from sailing and wanted to change to a morning flight. Yesterday (28 days out), I was able to change the flght on JetBlue's website and got confirmation of the new flight, seat selection and a small credit to the JetBlue travel bank. We only changed the first flight, not the return. These are non-stop flights between origination and destination. This change is not showing in our personalizer, but honestly, so long as the airline has the correct info, I think we are good. Am I mistaken in this line of thinking?
  15. A temporary solution could be to use Google Translate. Copy/paste & translate Japanese into English. Or maybe it's a sign since you are already undecided.

  17. I know that it's possible to order a small bottle of alcohol through the cruise personalizer but have quite a bit of OBC and would prefer to order it once onboard for in cabin enjoyment. This used to be possible through room service. Has anyone had success with this since the medallion app? I didn't see that option on our Feb cruise, but could have overlooked it. I suppose it may be possible by calling the dine line. Just wondering if anyone has first hand experience. Thanks!

Sometimes the ice bucket and ice are not in cabin upon embarking due to the multiple responsibilities of turnaround day for the cabin attendants, but it usually is delivered later in the evening, often while we are at dinner. I suppose there could be an oversight when it's not delivered, but an ask will ensure you have what you want when you want it.
  19. Years ago I was able to purchase a one day, or maybe even a half day pass for the thermal suite on Ruby. For an upcoming cruise on the Caribbean Princess, I only see an option for the length of voyage in my personalizer. Does anyone know if a day or half day can be purchased onboard? The length of voyage is more than I am willing to spend. Thank you!
