  1. My husband loves them. Strawberry is the first night. We usually see peach on the last night of a 7 day. Mango is somewhere in the middle. Bing cherry shows up on 8+ day cruises. Our last 8 day this year had it show up on the menu they stuck in the middle of the week that isnt on the usual 7 day menu schedule.
  2. We've cruised with some of the same crew a few times. We still tip over and above. We know one of them liked kit kats, so we brought a bag of kit kats on a few weeks ago for him. He told us he had beer from crew bar and kit kats after his shift when we saw him the next day! We've also asked if we can get them anything in port. One said chips so we brought back some chips. One of our other fav bartenders will do her new contract on the ship we're sailing next. We asked her if there's anything we can bring with us for her and she asked for spicy chips and snacks. It never reduces our extra tips, but we're happy to bring on something they enjoy that can make their day better.
  3. I actually liked the berry hibiscus too
  4. I have this issue too. All of a sudden everything stopped about a year ago. I only get alerts on my booked sailings or changes...like when covid stuff was changing or port times adjusted or the change to Venezia from Magic
  5. I've seen little chocolate bon bon type things and ive also seen macarons on the plate.
  6. Yes it does make their job easier and I respect your opinion....but that wasn't my only reason. I was also saying they have seen and heard so many different situations that make things difficult to get the authorization or a reissued passport. And it makes it easier on you the traveler. My opinion is if you can afford to cruise every year, you can spend the 20 bucks a year for 10 years to get the passport. It's just like insurance, you can choose to spend some money for peace of mind or not. For both, you don't need it, until you need it.....
  7. Yes, procedures are in place but they are not the easiest and are a real pita for the embassies abroad and the citizen trying to get back. And it's not an instantaneous process. I know someone who is the lucky person to answer those calls when someone is stuck and needs documentation to fly home. They would tell anyone who's leaving the country for any reason to trust them and get the darn passport as they've heard and seen it all. Oh and don't lose it abroad either...that was fun for one of our friends to get one reissued to fly home.
  8. If you don't have FTTF or status, you just get to carry it until rooms are ready. We usually roll on a small carryon that has the CPAPs in it to make it easy. We'll do muster and then go hang on the lido somewhere so we're not rolling it around until cabins are ready. Buy an extension cord as we dont depend on the ship and you can call the fun shops to preorder the distilled water (its like 3.50 as of November).
  9. I'm not worried about it being delayed so much as the entire crew just having just joined a new to Carnival ship and service not being up to par as they find their rhythm. Most first revenue sailings have some rust to shake off until the crew finds their groove and the best way to do things. We purposely waited until later in the summer to sail her the first time as we figured the first few sailings may not be optimal.
  10. Happened to us too on Anthem on our first trip with one. They gave us a frayed cord that was clearly a fire hazard and kept hearing "thats all we have" until we said this is clearly a fire hazard waiting to happen. We bring our own cords now.
  11. We used Cheryl’s Bahamas taxi and tours and had a good day
  12. We’ll be boarding in the 3rd. I’ll make sure to hi this time since I never did on the sunrise hurricane “not Bermuda” cruise!
  13. Based on his jacket and the marquee you posted from radio city, going to guess that’s Camilo on the right with earring who was performing there.
  14. You have to be signed up for my time dining. If you are assigned late seating, you’ll have to try to switch to my time before the cruise or see the maitre d upon boarding to see if there’s room in my time.
  15. No problem. We’re doing a Canada sailing in a few weeks so I’ve been trying to stay on top of the requirements. My “enjoyment” of Covid after my last cruise just misses the 90 day window to do the document of recovery…so I’m stuck testing.
  16. Here’s the Canadian government rules page…scroll down to pre embarkation testing. https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid/travel-restrictions/cruise#pre-embarkation-test It seems like they will accept a pcr test for proof of recovery. Positive antigens are not accepted. From what my Canada emails have been reading, you can use recovery document….Bermuda seems to be the only place you can’t use that in place of a test.
  17. Last November we did a food and cultural tour with TruBahamian food tours. We met them right near the ship and they took us around to various restaurants sharing the food and culture of the Bahamas. It honestly was the best independent tour we’ve ever done. My husband still talks about how much fun we had with our guide Lisa. We were back in Nassau this spring and made it a point to revisit two of the restaurants they took us too to get some local food. And we added on the optional adult beverages and it was worth it.
  18. Royal's announcement also said in fine print they are still working with their destination partners.
  19. Thank you for posting back. My husband is a veteran with PTSD and its nice to know Carnival is making accommodations if needed. Something to keep in mind as our next two cruises look to be very full and higher capacity and this may help him navigate a crowded boarding process.
  20. 100 times yes I can recommend them! One of our top two independent excursions/tours we’ve ever done. Crew was fantastic and you can participate as much or as little as you like. We had a great time with them and got some awesome pictures. They are featured on the new season of Someone Feed Phil on Netflix.
  21. Hate to break it to you, but we just got off oasis’ first cape liberty Bayonne sailing last Sunday the 8th. There’s at least 50 of us in the cruise group that have turned up positive after getting off. We also had folks in the cruise group quarantined on board. It was running rampant on oasis. Reports of crew being down too and CD was even under the weather the last night.
