    Bali Visa

Yes. I just completed an Indonesian visa for our stop there in December.
  2. The postal code for Bali is 80222. Good luck. It took me 4 hours to complete and submit the info. Their website is wonky.

    Kagoshima

Thank you. It looks like a shorter walk to the nearest tram station.

We’re on Oceania Regatta. I’m hoping that they will provide a shuttle to somewhere closer to town. They have in the past, but I’m not sure where the drop off spot is.

If you go on the website, there is a QR code that you can download to buy any one of the day passes. Then you still have to walk to the closest bus station. Use Google Maps to find bus route to where you want to go.
  6. We will be on the South American cruise right before yours, beginning in Miami and ending in Rio. We've done similar itineraries with Oceania a couple of times and have missed the Falklands both times due to high winds. We are hoping to do this again and will book Patricks tours once again. He does not take money up front, knowing that the chance of making the port is unpredictable. This time we will book the Oceania tour to Magdalena Island since both times we booked with Solo Expeditions and they cancelled on us. We took a private tour in Puerto Madryn to Punta Tambo and saw thousands of penguins up close.
  7. I booked a day cruise in Halong Bay through Tripadvisor rather than the actual company because they wanted 30% no refund deposit. TripAdvisor had the same price, but no deposit and cancel within 48 hours of the excursion. I have booked many tours through both Viator and TripAdvisor without problems.
  8. I brought a heating pad onboard with no problem. I didn't ask and they didn't refuse.
  9. You’re welcome. We’ll do one of the tours in the area - Pattaya or An Sila since we’re spending 3 days in Bangkok post cruise.
  10. We are also on this cruise. Tours for Laem Chabang were posted when I checked the Oceania website yesterday. The website seems to be down today.
  11. Does anyone know if there is a shuttle from the Port of Muara Brunei to Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital city? There isn't much around the port and most of the shops, local tours and restaurants are in Bandar Seri Begawan.
  12. Its about a 10 minute walk from the cruise terminal to Fisherman's Wharf where you can see the many decorated houseboats and have some fish and chips with wine or beer while you watch the sunset. The Inner Harbour is almost a 30 minute walk, so you really don't have enough time.
  13. We have been on a couple of Oceania cruises with stops in Kyoto (Kobe). It has always been at the port of Kobe. Oceania offers a shuttle bus to Motomachi in Kobe.
  14. Thank you both for your replies. The cruise I was looking at is an all day cruise sailing to the less visited Lan Hau Bay, so I think I will take the chance to book it. If I find out after we board and speak to the Oceania staff that the timing is too close, I can cancel up to a week prior.
  15. We will be on the LA to Sydney cruise on October 4,2023. We are schedule to arrive in Halong Bay at 7am on 11/24, which is our first stop in Vietnam. Has anyone experienced a stop at this port who can tell me how long it takes for Vietnamese customs and immigration to clear the ship for disembarkation? Even though our itinerary indicates it is a tender port, the new Halong Bay International cruise terminal has opened and we may possibly dock. I would like to schedule a day cruise which departs from Tau Chau Marina at 10am, a 25 min.Taxi ride. Would I be able to make it or should I book a ship leaving later in the morning?
  16. We’re Diamond and received the charcuterie board also. Didn’t get anything when we were platinum. Maybe the presents are random?
  17. Unfortunately we used a different port for Santiago de Compostela and the ship missed Portimao because of rough seas. There was a shuttle to town in Gijon, but we took a tour so don't now where the drop off was.
  18. Istanbul would be our choice. We spent 6 days in Istanbul before our cruise. Took the bus everywhere. Food is good, people are friendly and helpful. There is a Marriott Hotel very close to Galaport. Athens is farther from the Piraeus port, so that was our initial thought. But we found that we enjoyed our time in Istanbul much better.
  19. The Oceania shuttle drops off at a park near the Clericos Church right near the city center. Easy walk to the river, Sao Bento train station.
  20. We used them for transfer into Central Athens for a food tour, then called them for return trip to port. Good service, very responsive. All charges went to credit card, but it is more expensive than a taxi or Uber.
