  1. It's an improper comparison (different fields, approaches, sources, environment, resources). Besides, one may not blame cruise lines for any matter related to March 2020; blame the real cause if one wishes, not businesses having been pushed to bend all that time because of it.
  2. I do not call shocking anything these days (cruise lines suffer as anyone else due form … I will stop here what’s a reason of it). Just an example, in March we booked a Celebrity aqua cabin on 10-day Caribbean cruise on Beyond for April 2024, then price was raised increased by $400 pp, and now (since 4 months ago) price for the same cabin category on the same date is $1,250 more per person.
  3. So funny!!! - that's my best experiences on any cruise line/ship for over 20 years! I was on the Edge twice and spent hours in Eden on every single day! The same way as I spent hours every day in the SEA Thermal Suite while I'm sure the majority would say they either don't care about it or hated it (too hot, too steamy, too quiet, "too naked", too whatever).
  4. then there will another indefinite number of replies of all colors and specters for that particular item. Relax, everyone, and enjoy (to the very end) https://youtu.be/sM2ZhByFcDk Voyage, Voyage!!!
  5. Then under a group Cruise Only rate would be even less than a regular Cruise Only.
  6. Funny... We were on the Edge twice (April 2019 15-day Transatlantic crossing and December 2021 7-day Caribbean): the Eden is best part for me along with the SEA Thermal Suite (spent hours in each of them every single day!).
  7. it is the Cruiser that ultimately pays the price. I'm good, and I'm feeling alright...
  8. sure... the same as it is a taxpayer's responsibility to follow ALL blah, blah, blah... they create chaos (not cruise lines, of course)... and wash their hands... "this is how we do it..." Hoping at the end, not "ending up" as a guy from end of the voyage below... https://youtu.be/sM2ZhByFcDk Voyage, Voyage!!!
  9. Generally no but if booked direct with a Celebrity CVP I'd call them and give it a try. I've heard of a very few cases where it has worked. If you use a TA I don't believe they (like us) can see the current pricing on sold out cabins. It depends on terms and conditions of each promotion/sale/deal for each cruise line. If terms allowed, you may cancel your booking and immediately re-book your cabin with a current deal (there will be a slim chance of someone else grabbing your cabin during those few minutes while you will do your process). Again, the key word is "re-book" - you would be able to do it only if term allow it. Besides, you also need to look at cancelation fee if it is applicable for your current booking in order to compare an actual benefit of re-booking.
  10. I'm getting sick (literally) just by reading this thread alone (even with camouflage).
  11. So true! However, I still feel that way (looking forward to meeting new and diverse people). I'm writing this time after time. It simply takes more effort to locate them, because, unfortunately, it's dangerous (in many senses) these days to speak up a diverse opinion - I still do, because after living the exact first half of my life (31 years) in a "collectivism" country, I'm fed up of being controlled and hobbled by those who thing they "govern" us and preaching a "bright future" ahead of us. Believe me, no one can judge what's going now in the world who didn't experience first-hand such an experiment! Voyage, Voyage
  12. flights are different - a flight "attendant" is a person now who just attends the flight, and a passenger... well, it is a person now who just passes through (as if not actually flying). And, if one is not totally silent with eyes "wide" shot, such a person (by default) is presumed an unruly criminal.
  13. I like imagination... so, upon your reply, my image goes like that: one dish was "delivered with care" while another one (much less expensive for an order at the same table) was dropped (profoundly) by the same attendant on a person's laps (I even imagined a Jorge Carlin act on this subject).
  14. Actually, I experienced in Germany a "mad" attitude toward this matter when one of our group in the restaurant suggested to add a %, and we agreed - the server gave us so "dirty" look! It was embarrassing experience.
  15. What I don't understand the most about this topic since day 1 I moved to US in 1991 is how and why % is related of the total bill? What I mean what's a difference whether one orders $15 dish item or $75? Both involve exact the same time and service on a waiter part. Or serving $30 versus $150 a bottle of wine? So, a second person gets 5 times more than a first one in each example only because that person holds in her/his (oh, boy, I cannot believe I became politically correct, too!) hands for a few seconds a so precious dish or bottle.
  16. Celebrity doesn't offer it.
  17. If you don't mind to pay a triple price.
  18. Some think they (crew) made of stones. Let's permanently glue a piece cloth to their air intake, so they will not impact the service.
  19. I don't know about others being in denial. As to me, there is nothing to deny: 1. I predicted all the events (occurring within these years) when I was on March 8-24, 2020 Ponant South Pacific Eastern Island - Tahiti crossing cruise (were not allowed to stop at any port). 2. after getting so to speak "boosted" (I only did it along with original 2 injections in order to be able to cruise) in February, I was sick 3 times between May and September which never happened to me prior (I was only sick in November-March time frame even being born and living first 31 years of my life in the Baltic sea area with constant low temperatures (68F average summer high), high humidity, and dump conditions) and 31 more years in Buffalo area. Why? Why, I ask myself? I guess I will never get an official answer (unless I will live until at least 1/10 of the age of Methuselah).
  20. I meant even more than that - from the moment we are born we are exposed to an outside world with everything it can offer to us, absolutely EVERYTHING! I don't stop to wonder, how people didn't care about anything at all for entire life, and within last 3 years they are in permanent state of fear. It appears that danger arrives only when someone verbally threatens you.
  21. It was so predictable in March 2020. I have no idea why one would imagine or expect anything else otherwise regardless of all "cheerful" nonsense we might hear. Voyage, Voyage!!
  22. Now if every passenger ticked yes what fun. Do you know a good hacker "Did you have a tick within last 72 hours?" - "Yes." - "Denied!"
