  1. A few screen grabs from the Canal de Panama webcams today…
  2. OP hope you’ll allow me to post some screen grabs of you going through today…these from the Canal de Panama webcams.
  3. Don’t wait until it’s too late - I’ll be 65 years old when it’s my turn to transit the Panama Canal and finally get to cross this off of my Bucket List. Here’s hoping I’m still in good health when that time comes. 😎
  4. I wish I were on the Carnival Legend, and wish I’d known that this sort of cruise from Baltimore existed or I probably would have booked it! It’s a short drive from my house to there. My turn comes next year, but I’d do love watching the cruise ships come and go through the locks. Can’t wait until it is me going through the Panama Canal!!!
  5. You are more than welcome! I hope you had a wonderful time!!! 😁
  6. A few more of her exiting this afternoon out of the Miraflores Locks
  7. Here are a few screen grabs of the Carnival Legend at the Gatun Locks of the Panama Canal this morning. Hope you like them. 😁
  8. Here are a few screen grabs of her entering the Miraflores Locks of the Panama Canal today. Hope you like them. 😁
  9. Here are a few screen grabs of ARCADIA passing through the Panama Canal today, hope you like them. 😁 😁
  10. I get the flu shot too lol. Not super cautious (overly worried) to the point I’ll cancel the cruise, and luckily the ship has a rather (comparatively) very low passenger capacity with lots of public spaces to avoid crowds. It’s the right time now to start gathering intel and make lists of things where I can be in that frame of mind to be vigilant and protect myself. 😁
  11. I’ve done a LOT of research on my ship’s itinerary with its excursions and the respective reviews, especially ones that have bus rides that are 60-90 minutes each way, and have decided to fore-go those ‘adventures’ and optimize the ‘empty ship’ possibilities for those port days. On the one bus ride I will take (in Fuerte Amador for the Panama Canal & Locks Tour By Boat) I’ll wear an N95 for that bus ride. 😁
  12. I’ve managed since the onset of this to not contract this virus, even while working in a healthcare environment (albeit we were required to strictly adhere to masking procedures, but there were plenty of rule breakers there too). In my private life I’m very careful where and when I go to stores, etc. I’m all vaccinated and boosted against the current variants. I’m still taking masks and N95s. Still a year away and threads like this worry me. 🥸
  13. I really hate to ask, feels like it may sidetrack the thread, but are people on the ships wearing masks or N95s while in large crowded spaces like theaters or in elevators? I’m sure there are ship-provided handwashing stations at the buffet, and the crew are on top of things disinfecting surfaces, etc. but any thoughts or suggestions on what I can do to be more vigilant and protect myself? Serious inquiry.
  14. Is this due more to the fact that a sailing is closer to being sold out than having to do with the Princess Plus package? I’ve got a cruise booked for 2025, have the Princess Premier package (but also checked Plus before booking), and both allowed me to choose my own cabin.
  15. The new banner has showed up on mine as well, but the booked package shows up incorrectly - I have the Princess Premier and it showed that I had the Princess Plus. Called Princess Cruises to confirm that I did in fact have Premier, and she said that for some reason there are/were issues with the new tab, but yes, I did have Premier. The emailed confirmation also confirms this as well.
  16. Sort of glad now that I’ve already booked the Princess Premiere package - as a single-user and for 16-nights, along with whatever other benefits (and future increases come along between now and then 😉), it may have been a better deal than I first imagined.
  17. LOVE that you got Emerald Princess as she was transiting the channel after exiting the Cocoli Locks!!! 🥰 Superb!
  18. That’s surprising. Even on a ship with a capacity of ‘only’ 2000 people, you’d think they have two seatings of the performance?
  19. @BillB48 if you get a chance, ask your friend how the tour participants got back to the ship. It looks like it instead of docking at the small marina right at the cruise terminal, they docked on the other side of the small island complex. Route Tuira II took at end of scenic cruise Pacific Queen in the marina at the cruise port.
  20. We got several inches yesterday, woke up to a low temp of 9°. More snow (4-6”) forecast for Friday. I’m definitely more of a Fall/Winter/Spring guy than I am a summer guy. But I do hate shoving snow!
  21. Man. That heat is going to kill me lol 😳 at least there’s a breeze.
