  1. Ensenada is a total waste of a stop. All other things being equal I would choose by price. If prices are close a extra day is the ticket. Looks like Radiance wins. Happy cruising
  2. Another bonus if it leaves the last week of Oct. Awesome Halloween in Promenade and haunted house in studio B. This was on our last Symphony TA. Guests go crazy.
  3. On a Friday you would need a solid 45 minutes to Lax from Navigator. We have been on Navigator twice this year and disembarking was very quick. Having breakfast, going through customs and getting a uber a noon flight would be easy. Not only traffic but LAX is a hotspot on Fridays. A 10am flight would be slightly stressful.
  4. Are you saying they have taken away or converted the outdoor area during a dry dock.
  5. Call back and ask for a supervisor or elevate to the resolution department, good luck. Might be worth your trouble to email Michael Bailey. Someone here will give you the email address.
  6. We have done 3 Oasis Class TA"S. They sail at about 75% capacity and sail with 1200 fewer kids. Last TA on Symphony there were 12 kids under 16 years old. $70 pppd for the drink package would be easy to get your monies worth. 3 drinks, a glass of wine in the MDR, a couple of waters, OJ in the morning, a smoothie from the spa and you are already over the 70 bucks. Just looked at our cruise planner for a 7 night and 10 night coming up at end of Sep and both cruises have the DBP at $62.99 as of today. happy cruising, TA"S are great.
  7. Right with you. Have done 3 Oasis class transatlantics that sailed with about 1500 fewer kids. Last TA on Symphony there were 12 kids under 16. Have a 10 night Vancouver to Honolulu in Oct. and anticipating just a handful of kids. Now it is just having a glut of D and D+ replacing the kids.
  8. Not to hijack your post but I am curious if you can skip the testing as each cruise is under the new 6 day limit.
  9. May be time to up your game and try something in Royals fleet that is not some of the smallest and oldest that you seem drawn to.
  10. Harmony.. Liberty.. freedom.. oasis All Accessible JR Suites.. Found on almost all royal ships.
  11. From a cruise ship hotel manager. This is not me. I have managed Hotels on cruise ships for nearly 30 years; 28 different ships for 18 different cruise lines. I have had 10s of thousands of tipped crew working for me over the years. Every few months we get some guest who thinks it’s cute to tip with strange currencies or denominations. The crew brings the odd bills and coins to me to see if I can change them for something that’s is useful to them. They cannot take the strange currencies home, as they cannot change them there. Many times they cannot find time or a location to change them during the cruise. Generally the crew purser will not accept any unusual coins or bills from the crew. So the crew is usually just stuck with them. After smiling at you when you hand them the strange bank note, they only remember the nitwit who thought he / she was being cute. $2 bills are a total challenge for a crew member to use
  12. Order the emed from Royal. $70 for two tests. Proctors are available 24/7. Easy peasy once the kids are in bed and fast asleep.
  13. It is a happy place to be. We turned D+ last year and wife only uses 3 or 4 vouchers. 7 for me works out great.

  15. For some reason most people seem to want to wait in line at Chop's. Last cruise on Symphony my wife went to Chop's and the line was very long, she walked across to Jamies and the line was shorter but still long, she headed up to Wonderland and no line at all. Line gets held up when someone is making reservations for 7 nights and have no backup plans if the day and time they want is taken. Long lines don't bother me as I am sitting comfortably at Trellis Bar with my first gin and tonic as my wife takes care of business.
  16. Gifts and gear under celebrations. Click on gifts and it will not be there. If the home page opens with the picture of strawberries you need to click on the arrow on the left side of the strawberries. Lots of things have changed for the worse since covid. ANNIVERSARY STATEROOM DECOR $39.99USD BIRTHDAY STATEROOM DECOR $39.99USD
  17. It is in Sep. Looking for type of insurance to cover lost airfare from Honolulu return flight and getting a last minute flight back to California from Vancouver and possible extra hotel stay in Vancouver.
  18. Does anyone have experience of what happens if you test positive between cruises. We have a 7 night leaving Seattle and then three nights in Vancouver before boarding Quantum. Our concern is picking up covid on the first cruise and testing positive in Vancouver before we board Quantum. Seems like lots of people start to have symptoms a day or so after getting off the ship. Hopefully testing will be over in the next month or so.
  19. Yes, plus good at all showrooms and private islands. I think only Rising tide bar and Bionic bar are excluded.
  20. A Bone Dry martini is close to a Aunt Roberta which is considered the strongest mixed drink. I had a Royal Zombie from the Bamboo Room on Navigator and thought the bartender forgot the rum. Bone Dry Martini A Martini is made using either gin or vodka with the addition of vermouth, a fortified wine which has a low alcohol content. Removing the vermouth from this mix makes this drink ‘bone dry’ and possibly one of the most alcoholic drinks you can get, as it’s made with 100 per cent alcohol.
  21. Just meet, no drinks, simply a place to chit chat and plan a event. Try Dazzles. Empty all day.
  22. Last Month. An Uber/Lyft fare from the Miami airport to the Port of Miami would run approximately $20, compared to $27 flat-rate for a taxi.
