  1. I'm with you! If I'm craving something, it's usually something crunchy. I've always wondered why there were not chips available at Blue Iguana for dipping with salsa, etc
  2. Whoa! Not as good as Golden Corral? Thats and extremely low bar.... WOW! & YIKES!! note to self....steakhouse upgraded steak or pick something else. 😞
  3. I wonder if it could be fed to livestock? Let some farmers clean it up each night and feed it to hogs or something... win/win
  4. I've been hoping they would add some different itineraries for Jubilee...so you could enjoy a new ship and new mix of ports. Guess they are trying it out on an older, smaller ship first.
  5. geez... that doesn't sound like a good value. I guess since new ships seem to be larger and larger, you are limited to older ones to fit through the locks, at least with the big 3 cruise lines.
  6. I'm with you... most seem to be just a combination of current east/west Caribbean offerings. The partial Panama Canal one does pique my interest tho...
  7. I would ask to have this escalated. The statement you receive should show how much carnival charged you that week... and you should get double points for any Carnival purchases. Also, I can confirm with others... as i learned from these boards, you get more for your points using them towards your carnival purchases on your statement.
  8. sounds good! there was something similar on a Princess ship we sailed, and it was not intuitive at all... there was one big combined line and display cases where some items were free and some were not. It was so frustrating.
  9. OH *&^%$ NO! Did you really sleep on those soiled sheets? No way I could do that! If the steward didn't change them by the time I came back from supper day 1, I would have taken pics and gone to guest services. That's completely unacceptable. I'd snitch linens off a steward's cart, do it myself and throw the old ones in the hall if I had too..
  10. I hear your concerns... and I bet it's already stressing you. I'd switch it if I could...even if it costs more, because it seems you've found the point where "an epic price" is no longer a great "value for your money".
  11. in Roatan, where the ship docks in Mahogany bay - we really liked Tabyana beach.
  12. TOTALLY! I swear the agents at Springfield, MO, just do it out of boredom! I had been traveling 5-9 times a year for work back before covid... and had gotten "randomly" checked multiple times. The final straw for me was getting rub down frisked in a dressing room for "an anomaly"... I had a freaking TISSUE in my pocket! Fine! take my money, I am not going through THAT again!
  13. try searching with the handy calendar view. Click on each day for the options available...not just the one shown on the calendar view. https://www.carnival.com/cruise-deals/cruise-deal-finder#?currentMonth=112023&datFrom=112023&datTo=112023&layout=calendar&numAdults=2&port=mia,pcv&client=cruisesearchlegacy I don't think it hurts to ask to apply what you have to get a great deal on the 6 day that leaves Sunday, if no 5 day is available for your special day you're celebrating. Be flexible...and ask nicely, you never know.
  14. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I always start with a date range in mind first... as NYcruise1 said - 1000 times easier in this view! Amy
  15. Before I log off here and get back to work... I gotta say a prayer thanking God for Willdra reviews... they're the absolute best! 😃
  16. Years ago I tried to use the gym on Magic, before sail away. We had gone and looked around and I asked if I could use the equipment now and was told yes. However, after I went and changed and started using the treadmill...one of the employees came by touring some folks through and got all bent out of shape and rude with me...like how dare Ii ruin the look of the place while they were giving tours...never went back. I happily found that I prefer running on the outdoor track...I mean you might as well get the only at sea view while you run. However, on embarkment day there are people walking every which way until after sail-away, so it's more of an obstacle course that first afternoon.
  17. When you say book early - is that when you get onboard? or something you can pre-book
  18. I would presume that it could be sold as songs everyone knows. However, I am betting has more to do with saving $$$ (licensing fees as mentioned above)...since copyrights have probably run out on most of the oldies.
  19. so what's the real change then? they are going to start carding people for every adult beverage purchase? need to carry your ID around the ship????
  20. GREATNESS!!!! My Mom looooved hearing Roy Clark play Spanish Guitar. seriously - go find a clip on the tube of You
  21. I was wondering if it has a lot to do with freshness. Do they cook the Steakhouse options for MDR to order?.....as opposed to the free lobster night on longer cruises, where i assume they cook a couple thousand of them ahead and keep warm.
  22. I've often wondered the same thing....and assumed it's on the shorter cruises (we've only taken 7day). We've strolled over to the clubs after going to supper and the comedy show and it's like...where'd everybody go? Like do they go take a nap and kick the party back up after midnight?🤷‍♀️ I would say that I'd describe of the vibe on Carnival as celebratory! Everyone is excited to be on vacation and have fun. Case in point: several years ago we went on a Princess snooze cruise. I came home telling hubby - I want a do over... So we went on a Carnival cruise a few months later. First sea day we were in the atrium when the Seuss at Sea parade came through. Everyone was clapping for the kids, singing along and joining the conga line. I looked at DH, threw up my hands and said "My People"!
  23. well, that is weird... looks the same width as 7268. Can't imagine why they would give up selling the space of a balcony cabin for storage.... or if it's not that wide, make 7268 a suite.
