But not required, just an option if you elect not to use your phone and the app. Spent 12 nights on the Summit in September and never used the app for anything. Personal preference.
No inside smoking anywhere on any of Celebrity's ships. No dedicated onboard lounge for elite, elite+ and Zenith.
Make sure to contact the CC (1-800-760-0654) and give them your CAS numbers as tier levels are reciprocal up to elite.
The Mast Grill ('burgers and dogs) on deck 14.
We did a B2B Caribbean cruise on the Explorer in March and the Cruise Compass was always in our cabin. Never had to ask for it. Did a NE/Canada September cruise on Celebrity Summit and the Celerity Today was always in our stateroom. Never had to ask. FYI if anyone is considering Celebrity. Prefer the paper copy over the app that is consistently inconsistent. 👎
We cruise with RC but stay away from their Quantum class, Oasis class, and looks like now the Icon class of ships. Freedom class is OK. Radiance class, Voyager class are our favorite class of RC ships.
No dedicated nightly comedy shows. Usually a guest comic entertainer that does their routine in the main theater as one of the scheduled evening shows. Sometimes that same comedian if still onboard will do an adult only comedy show later in the evening on a different night.
We aren't loyal to Celebrity or RC. We like the differences and the similarities between the two. Enjoy your first Celebrity cruise and then make the decision if Celebrity is for you based on your own experiences.
There was a gaggle of so-called photographers with expensive cameras on our 21 September Summit cruise. In the dining venues, public places on the piers. IMO, where the photographers and park west are set up is a waste of good space that could be utilized a lot better.
Thanks. It wasn't self serve in the DL on our March B2B Explorer cruise. We thought it worked great but was wondering since the WJ went back to self serve after our cruise.
