    When you first board the ship you can go directly to your stateroom, pick up your SeaPass cards (no medallions like with princess), drop off your carry on(s) if any. You are asked not to stay in your stateroom. Usually they'll announce staterooms are ready around 1:00PM.

    Were doing a 7 night Pacific Coastal cruise on the Eclipse 8 October 2023. R/T LA (San Pedro World Cruise Center).

    In our opinion (no experiences) anything less than 7 nights is way to short for us. No matter the cruise line. Demographics has nothing to to with our choices.

    Of course the staff wouldn't. I always (every evening) wear dockers and polo/golf style shirts in the evening in the MDR.

    Designated smoking areas are always published in the Princess Patter for the ship you are cruising on.

    It's not even required. It's only suggested.

    When the check in time comes available for your cruise pick the time that works for you to arrive at the Pan Am pier. Once you are checked in the embarkation time (boarding time) can be immediately or whenever the ship is cleared to board passengers.

    We would dress no differently for the Chefs Table as we would dress in the MDR, no matter the evening.

    Can't go wrong with Celebrity's suggested dress guidance on their website no matter the itinerary.

    We are older than dirt. Took our first Celebrity cruise in 1994 (Zenith). Glad Celebrity introduced evening chic in 2016. You'd be more than welcome to sit and enjoy a drink or two with us.

    I was hoping Princess changed and followed Celebrity's lead. But that's cool as when we cruise with RC we have to wait until the general announcement. No biggie. Thanks for the suggestions.

    We have three checked suit cases plus my wife has a carry on, her purse and I have a back pack with valuables and medications. We do the muster and have a good breakfast at the pre cruise hotel so no need for lunch. We do have our traditional welcome aboard drink.

    I elected to pick up our medallions at the embarkation port and have our pictures taken at that time for our March 2024 Enchanted cruise. We haven't cruised with princess since 2010. Side question, can we go directly to our staterooms once we board the ship to drop off our carry on(s) and then leave until the general announcement is made that the staterooms are ready?
