The only folk who are allowed to turn left on the some of the smaller planes are the drivers. If folk feel entitled to have some extra room in their cheap seats, easy.....put your seat back and encroach into the space of the folk behind you.
Some folk have very high expectations and ate often disappointing. Others are satisfied with the same offerings. Sindhu in Marlow is better than Sindhu on P&O. The price is about double. If something is describes as fine, surely that means it's........fine.
Some if us old wrinklies may pay extra as well. RC have " Chops fillet " in the MDR for an extra cost. Many hotels have extra charge items on the included menu. Nothing out if the ordinary.
My first longhaul flight was economy with Bcal. That was when I decided...never again...cramped seats and we had to land at Bangor to refuel. If we can't get PE or club we won't go.
Glad you enjoying Arvia. We have that joy to come in April. I hope the weather stays kind in the med. We are off to Menorca in a couple of weeks.28c forecast.
I don't post much on RC. We will go for our 12 points this year to reach platinum, but only need 4 on NCL. Then I can join in a bit more on the dark side.🤣
Drinks. Extra width. As you are at the front, you reach Barbados first. Now TUI use a dreamliner it's not so much better than economy but we always select the 2 seats in the 2-3-2 configuration. This allows a bit of sleep on the return flight.
Grumpy Zap. I just got an email from Mercedes. " your car has told us it is due for a service soon !!. Grassed up by your own car !!!. Blooming Liberty.🤬
You are quite right. Taking off the tips ,gratuities etc brought them closer together. The quality was better than Britannia. We are looking at Celebrity for the Eastern Med next year, but we need a few more points on RC and NCL. P&O are perfectly fine, but the itineraries need a good tweak.
We will only fly long haul PE. If we can't fly PE+,we don't go. Agreed P&O could provide a plane without PE and just refund the extra cost. We won't take that risk, so have cancelled before final payment date.
The Epicurian menu doesn't always suit us, but the experience, pre covid was excellent. We haven't eaten there on the last few cruises, but gave the others a good bashing. We are on Arvia in April and will be eating everywhere, but probably Keel&Cow most. On Anthem we enjoyed the 3 we tried
We went to the Fjords on Silhouette last year. Very nice too, but about 50% more than P&O. We ate in the MDR mainly. The speciality restaurants worked out at £80pn fir the 2 of us. Comparing fairly doesn't seem to happen sometimes.
Did TUI have a contact for these flights,?or simply say to P&O, sorry we have nothing to offer you, so no contract. P&O describe the new lot as " our new partner ". If I want to hire a car and Avis don't have any, it's not their job to find me an alternative.
We eat out around 3 times a week. Rarely do we sit down and have a three course meal with waiters bringing wine and coffee. MDR food and service is fine occasionally, but sometimes we want to go into a restaurant for a quick couple of courses and move on. Go in about 7.00 ,eat, on to listen to some music and a drink. Into the 10.30 show. Silent disco for a nightcap. MDR fits nicely.
When Brian made his witty comment I thought ,where' Kalos. We normally get his humorous quips every day. I seem to recall that he doesn't post from his phone.
