  1. In many parts of the UK, Macaroni cheese pie is traditional.
  2. Does the Rotary club have a revolving chairman ?. Asking for my friend Dougal.🤣
  3. Thanks. We will start a Cristmas shopping list. Turkey Dates Thyme.🎅
  4. We will go around the shops a bit nearer the time. In years to come we can chat to the Grandkids. You won't remember shops kids. Big places full of colourful displays and tempting treats. A bit like the big government distribution centre, but you could go inside and look at things........Did they still deliver Grandad ?. Some did, but you could take stuff home in your car.....what's a car Grandad?.🤫
  5. That's the attitude I will adopt in the MDR queue on Arvia.🤣
  6. Even worst than the whining kid. I reeeely want to make a space ship out if that washing up liquid bottle. It's lasting a reeeely long time.
  7. On RC the prawns were bigger in Chops than the MDR.
  8. No much change TBH. Food is similar. No turndown like on X. So no chocolate.
  9. We fly from Gatwick regularly. Although nice to know which terminal, the journey between the 2 is quite painless.
  10. The RC offering came with horseradish cream. DW said can I have rose Marie. The waiter said " you can have any sauce you want madam.
  11. They have never gone away on RC
  12. As a dog lover Gill, perhaps you can help me with a puzzle. There is an add on TV about a pill you can give your old dog. It show shim running around like a puppy. Now there are lots of elderly folk with reduced mobility for the same condition....So question is....🐶
  13. Years ago ,when I had a jab Mum gave me a lollypop.🤣
  14. We do 2/3 Warner breaks a year. Similar to cruises in some ways, but far less entertainment. The in house band are entertaining ,but not to the standard of (say ) pulse. The entertainment teams are about 5-6, so smaller. Less choice of food. Recently we have seen Tony Hadley. Marine Mazumder as Adele and 2 classical blokes. A good break, but not a cruise standard. Rooms are bigger than a cabin, but when you wake up you are still in the same place.
  15. I phoned BA. After 60 mins a charge started for the call.
  16. I stopped using greasy spoons many years ago. I'm glad you gave up too, what with your heart issues. Very wise decision. I'm sure there are healthy options you can enjoy in Benidorm.
  17. If it's that bad, why do you still eat there.? 🤔
  18. When folk have specific requirements, like you and Mrs Selbourne, not much option than to book early. Similar to us. No PE, no cruise. We have booked arvia for April at, what we believe is a fair price with good OBC. I looked today and it's gone up £200. So far so good. Awaiting deals with RC/NCL. We fly to Menorca next week with TUI and booked that last week. I guess you have a feel for what is a fair price. I am quite happy with the P&O offering, but their Customer service is nowhere near good.
  19. If you was sitting reading, I am guessing the jab was in your arm. 🤣
  20. We won't be booking anything with P&O until nearer the time. Their recent track record doesn't fill me with confidence that the best prices will be early. I would predict the Itineraries on the 3 biggest ships will be same old.
  21. We only book longhaul if we can fly PE or better. That means booking early, so we have always only paid a deposit. The exception for us is BA. If we book a scheduled flight in PE, or club, they want the whole fare.
  22. Looking at our invoice now Cruise cost £4,766..PE upgrade £828. Total £5 584. Deposit. £477. Nothing paid for PE at time of booking.
  23. Normally the PE upgrade cost is part of the total, not paid separately. So for £800 all you pay on booking is a percentage of £800 as part of the deposit.
  24. We booked a TUI holiday last week. We selected our seats before we even finished booking.
