You have beautiful pics of Montreal ( forgot the native orange cone ;)). Where is the fairyland . Have never seen that before -
I have done this. Go to front desk and they will gladly transfer any non refundable obc to crew. I make it a point to make time for this even if it is a few dollars.

Hi Have a silly question We are taking a family cruise on The Zaandam on My 27th Cabin 1 ( 3 pax) Myself DH 2 yr old grandson . Cabin 2 ( 3 Pax) Daughter - SIL and 2nd Grandchild . Will my daughter have problems checking in her son as he is in a separate cabin if we have not arrived yet. . We are taking the overnight grey hound . The original plan was to have my daughter go ahead to the ship with all the luggage. . DH and I would like to be able to enjoy Boston and make our way to the ship later. But if that will cause her issues, I will stay with her ( always overthinking things) . Thanks for any info you can provide

All depends on weather If you get rain, there are 2 amazing museums in the old port ( la calliere and the science center) Also, the 2nd floor of the terminal building is actually free If beautiful, the botanical gardens is nice, you can get there on the Subway

I would say that yes, you can visit Montreal. The process you described is to make it easier for b2b guests who just want to get back on the ship. These are 2 cruises,. The Canadian govt will clear guests as per their process at the end of cruise one. You are not even " in transit,` as you will actually be spending Aprox 10 days in the country Please, get off the ship and enjoy our beautiful Montreal,.

Transportation Options from Montreal port to YUL.
CGinMTL replied to Cruisin Kay D's topic in Canada/New England
I think the closest location to buy ticket to get on the 747 bus is the closest subway stop. Which is a 10 min walk $11 for the entire day in the transit system 747 is a good option if you plan on visiting and then finish with transfer to yul If not. I would just take a cab is fixed rate $50 -

Hello group, I have a toddler question for the Zaandam. My grandson is 2 years old I know that there is no kids program ( for any age group ) on this ship. But I see a kid zone on the deck plan. Is that correct ? Anybody know if this door is unlocked and available ? If we need to request access ? Any suggestions / ideas on this and other toddler tales is appreciated. We sail in may 27th

Montrealer here. It all depends on the weather. But A) don't rent a car.... You will regret it B) I would get an unlimited transit pass for the day. ( Cost $11 / per) You can get this at the metro. If the bus station has locker. Then go drop off the bags. If sunny, Agree, go to top of Mount Royal and thenyou can walk all the way back down to old port. This will take through downtown Agree with the museum. You can also go to botanical garden You will want to come back Enjoy

Losing money because of canceled excursions?
CGinMTL replied to Greebo's topic in Holland America Line

A few comments I wish they had more options to be able to leave your stuff when you are going to be using the pool or hot tub for extensive periods. One should not be reserving chairs for hours, even if they are in the pool . Also, I usually look at empty chairs, wait around 20 min, if I see no activity, if somebody is near, I ask if they have seen anybody using the chair. If they have not seen anybody, I move stuff to a nearby chair. I have always been able to use it for 1/2 hrs. When I am done, move stuff back . 30 cruises, NEVER had an issue
