That would mean loading two separate loads of fuel. Can’t see that happening.

That is exactly why us used the word “portray”! Whether is is totally different experience to what is portrayed is another matter. In my opinion the programme is not a good advertisement for Virgin Cruises. #thecruise

There is a documentary series on Channel 5 in the U.K. entitled The Cruise. It has been filmed over three months on the Scarlet Lady. In my opinion it does not portray Virgin as a cruise line I would like to sail on. Everything was drinking partying (including a pub crawl that ended in a pyjama party) it all seemed to much in your face. It also gave the impression that if you were not a “Rock Star” (read suite guest) you were not treated that specially. I fly Virgin all the time and this did not seem like the Virgin I am accustom too. PS you are not a passenger on Virgin you are a Sailor.

It all depends on you definition of capacity. At the moment some decks or part thereof have been set aside for crew and passenger quarantine. With this in mind they won’t be sailing to full capacity. I understand that some routes it is pretty. Near full capacity.

I wouldn’t have posted if I had not done the research. I do not always believe what I read on the internet! The have been no announcements from the European Union re pre cruise testing. The only announcements re pre cruise testing are from those cruise lines that have stopped pre cruise testing on select cruises.

Whatever happens it won’t happen quickly

I have yet to see any announcement from the EU verifying this bloggers statement.

She may be getting 19 knots but she did not have the speed to beat a 5:30 am deadline to get into Southampton on the 25th June. She had to wait in the Solent pending completion of the annual Cowes yacht raise. The result she did not berth till 11 am. She cannot get her usual top speeds of 24ish knots.

I think you will fins this is the case on most European cruise As Europeans tend to eat later than North Americans.

Happy to see you made it in good time especially with all the travel disruption at the moment. If you get a chance can you take a picture of the drinks price list. With the new premiere packages it will be interesting to know how many drinks now fall below the $12 Princess Plus limit?

On Sky Princess Canary Islands cruise in April the internet was very poor.

There is a shack down by the old pier where the sell (or used to sell) king crab leg bloody Mary’s. Very good - a meal in itself!

You have you itinerary well researched. A word of warning though. We are currently seeing nationwide train strikes. Whilst I have not heard when the next ones will be they can be at short notice. In addition you seem to be packing a lot in on your call at Glasgow. Don’t forget you have a half hour train journey getting from Greenock to Glasgow. Yes they do .

Testing station is opposite the terminal no distance at all. In March (on Sky) it took no time at all. Then or was $60.

Sky has had engine problems and not making full speed.

We self disembarked from Sky in April. We were in the car park within ten minutes.

Regardless of whether passengers have been tested pre boarding people are still catching covid on board. To me this means the testing procedure is not warranted any more.
