  1. Guess I need to double check my account as I did not recall that and sailed several times during that period. But now that you mention it, it does ring a bell. Rusty brain strikes again! LOL Thanks for the clarification. Not that it would matter much as we've been D+ since 2012 and not likely to reach Pinnacle regardless. (Also been cruising more with Celebrity than RCCL since then, so it still would be a long climb).
  2. What extra points? We've cruised six times since the restart, commencing with the first month it reopened, with no "extra" points. We also had several cruises that were booked and cancelled from the pandemic. Please clarify.
  3. Well now you and the D+ know. C & A loyalty status has nothing to do with GTY stateroom assignments. Nor should it discriminate by that IMO. But re-read your first comments - I just did. To me at least it certainly sounded like you were unhappy, if not complaining. And I think most of the responses were factual and addressed your comments and not negative. Perhaps it just seems that way since they don't support your position. JMO.
  4. Call and see if they will move you to a different stateroom. They will if they are available within your assigned category but you could always ask if they would move to the promenade as with your friends. Never hurts to ask. But I wouldn't count on D+ having any influence with that. And as others have mentioned frequently your C & A status has nothing to do with bookings, in particular GTY's, nor do I understand why you think it should. Your loyalty is rewarded by way of C & A tier levels which primarily provide on board benefits. The only booking benefit I am aware of is with a balcony discount with higher tiers, which IMO is not always a benefit of value as it is not combinable with all fare offers. No offense but whomever is D+ should be well aware of all of this.
  5. The difference may be that our current final payment is not until the end of August. Although we did not participate, we also have been able to do so with MoveUp on every other Celebrity cruise in recent years including Eclipse two weeks ago. It may be a final payment timing thing with my current booking, as I don't remember (as we did not participate) when we were able to enroll previously.
  6. Just tried that with the same results - it ultimately redirected me back to the manage my reservation page. So with me going directly into MoveUp or through my account had the same results as indicated by the OP and myself with no ability to get into MoveUp. Again with me it may just be too early with our November cruise, but not sure why the OP is getting the same results.
  7. OK @travel1light, so I just tried with an upcoming November cruise and the same thing happened. Entered my last name and booking number and it sent me to a "find your reservation" page, which when I did it looped me back to my reservation management page. Interesting. I'm wondering in my case if it is just too early for the program. But it is doing the same thing as you describe with your cruise 24 days out. So I guess it may not be working correctly? Keep emailing MoveUP I guess.
  8. This may be an obvious question, but at the first page when you enter your booking number is it confirming that your booking is eligible for the program? Not all are. And to confirm MoveUp is a separate 3rd party program not managed by Celebrity. They have no way to assist if there is an issue. If you are confirmed as eligible, I guess just continue to email them.
  9. In fairness we don't typically do cruise ship sponsored tours, but as they are third party contractors, if they are sold out the ability to add another tour would depend on that operator's ability to provide an additional bus and operator / guide. They may in fact be a popular tour that sells out early. I doubt that there would any effort on the cruise line's part to manipulate a tour booking to sell more expensive tours as they don't control the sales or the capacity of the tours.
  10. You won't have trouble getting one (or a cab) as they are all very plentiful in that area on those days, but as they will all be busy with shuttles to (and from ) FLL, you may have to wait for their availability, which will add to the time getting there. What may likely happen is you will get one dropping off someone at T25 who will then shuttle you to T2 for a FLL pick up there. But as you are aware they will show availability and pick up times in the app, so you will know. But clearly you will need to factor that into your Celebrity disembarkation and Princess embarkation times. Just me, but I would rather be off Celebrity early and waiting at the Princess terminal than pressing Princess. Enjoy your cruises!
  11. Consider also that Princess typically uses Terminal 2 for their ships and Celebrity typically uses terminal 25. IMO there will be 15 - 20 minutes+ transit between the two based on transportation availability and traffic between the terminals. Port Everglades is a very busy place on arrival and departure days.
  12. Even if you could leave the ship in a timeframe remotely relative to the docking time, I believe the airport is about an hour away. Not a chance IMO.
  13. In our recent Eclipse experience from Cape Liberty they promptly started boarding at 11:00. This has been similar to our other recent Celebrity cruises from FL ports. In terms of getting to the POM, Uber / Lyft is our preference based on convenience and price, but cabs also work quite well and the only comparative between the two in our choice is waiting time for either. Celebrity transfers are vans or buses that wait to be filled before departing and IMO are not as convenient or cost effective compared to Uber/Lyft or cabs. That would be the same with us returning to MIA as well.
  14. Perhaps things have changed since this was posted but I just checked into my account on the website with no issues and all my upcoming cruise information is correctly shown. Did this on my PC as well as phone app. Not sure why but I rarely have the issues others indicate, but often use my PC first as it is at my desk.
  15. If you like all inclusive beach resorts this is a good one to experience at Costa Maya: https://costamayabeachresort.com/ We have been there several times and it is owned and operated by an American family who does a very good job providing a pleasant way to spend the day. We have never been to Progreso so I can't answer for there.
  16. That may in fact be the case in the Miami cruise terminal, but as you clearly realize, none of that has anything to do with the cruse line. Their disembarkation times and procedures for the most part, and with some itinerary exceptions, are typically uniform throughout the fleet regardless of cruise terminal. Unfortunately, how you are treated once off the ship is not within their direct control. Again, I endorse commenting to the cruise line about negative terminal experiences as they clearly have a direct voice to the terminal. Just what gets done about it is another story.
  17. Typically you are asked to be out of your stateroom between 7:30 and 8:00 AM and normally off the ship by 10:00 AM latest. You can extend your stateroom stay until 9:00 AM in some instances with an additional fee charged on board. They typically start boarding for the next sailing at 11:00 AM with all prior sailing passengers disembarked prior to that. I'm not sure if there are any extended privileges for Retreat guests.
  18. Other than with the planner pre cruise dining packages sales, the only restaurant that IMO would be likely to do this my be Tuscan, as they frequently offer specials during the week on board. When this is done it is typically for a discount on the specialty restaurant fee. I don't know that as a rule this is always done, however.
  19. The timeframes suggested are accurate and any variance would typically be related to variances with the early and fixed dining times, with which the showtimes are coordinated.
  20. Seems like they have revamped most menus and have trimmed much of the offerings in recent years, not just the children's portion. Not sure how that relates to the fares paid for children.
  21. You don't mention which cruise line but IMO the places visited, the accommodations along the way, and the assistance of a dedicated tour guide with the excursion makes the cruise line sponsored tours well worth considering. They are pretty immersive and can be varied in length to fit different expectations and budgets. They also dovetail with the cruise portion and will include direct transfers with ease of transition. Far less individual planning and coordination.
  22. As others have said, airport to cruise port, depending on terminal, is about 3 miles / 10 minutes. Most local hotels also offer ride share transportation. But Uber / Lyft is easy and inexpensive and readily available. Cabs from the port back to FLL are also a reasonable option.
  23. I don't disagree with the thoughts of contacting RCCL with this issue. However the OP needs to understand, as I believe they do from their comments, that none of this is controlled by RCCL as all employees and activities in and outside the terminal are 3rd party associated. All RCCL can do is pass on the concerns to those parties. And unfortunately IMO Miami is the least effective terminal in managing and directing activities once outside of the terminal.
  24. I only knew because I was on that sailing. As you are likely aware from other posts my brain also gets rather rusty from time to time - LOL.
