Can you buy a HIA+ package? I got HIA with: upgraded Elite Beverage & Premium Wi-fi and gratuities, but it was part of a promo included in the fare and not purchased separately.

But, due to the Coriolis Effect, hurricanes/typhoons in the Northern Hemisphere spin in a counterclockwise direction, while cyclones in the Southern Hemisphere spin in a clockwise direction. The penguins are pushed along, get dizzy and are easy prey for polar bears - that's why there so few of them north of the equator.

I think it would be better to ask for it without Colada. If they don't strain the pineapple juice, the savings in labour of the bartender might bring the price down to $11. 😉

Single Smoking Thread (Use for all smoking discussions on HAL) )
Bill B replied to Lyndihop's topic in Holland America Line
The trouble is one doesn't know what to believe because the HAL website information re: 'Smoking' has errors they can't be bothered to amend or update. -
Get your booking number and go here - https://www.hollandamerica.com/en/ca/cruise-deals/have-it-all/have-it-all-upgrade

In my experience there is usually fine print to effect they will not a price if an error has been made. Let me get this straight - You booked a Vista Suite cruise for two people for a total of $550? How many days was the cruise? Now, they want an additional $440 for a total of $990. That still sound like a hell of a deal even if it's a short cruise.

What does that prove?

I had no problem getting a room that did not show as available on my 28-day cruise but was available for a 41-day cruise (of which my 28-day was a part). I just sent an email and they changed my booking. As a 'bonus', the room I preferred was a lower Cat. and my fare went down.

Help Please! I think new PCC is giving me wrong information.
Bill B replied to CruiseMob's topic in Holland America Line
The 'free' upgrade is not for the lowest Cat., it is from Obstructed Oceanview to Veranda. However, they increased the price of Obstructed Oceanview rooms to those of Verandas for the sale. 😂 -
2024 Grand World Voyage with The Inside Cabin

I feel sorry for all the people who went through all the hassle & anxiety (and money) to get a visa and now don't need them. -
In my experience(s) of filing a CC dispute, the bank wants to know if I tried to work it out with the vendor, who said what and when. Document everything.

What requirement? I thought the issue was not getting the visas on time. -
I assume you mean Lower Promenade (Deck 3). I had an accessible room - 3431 - and it was horrible in the bathroom. However, the ship has been renovated and the problems I experienced probably don't exist any more. The extra space really made no difference. I can't comment on the Lanai rooms because I've never had one, but I know they usually sell out quite fast.
-
Neither. It's because ships are prohibited from 'making' water when close to shore.
-
It's probably the principle not the amount, but at some point you have to figure 'Is it worth it?' I think a lot of companies (especially airlines) make things like this extremely difficult on purpose (and finally stop responding) in the hope the customer just 'give up'.
-
Yes.

I know it's selfish, but I love the feeling I get on the last night of the first leg of a B2B when I see all that luggage out in the halls and mine's not. 😃

Do I understand correctly they're trying to sell you HIA at $65/pp/pd (with only $100 shore excursion credit) on a world cruise when you can get a Signature BP for $16.50/pp/pd? -
Yes.
