  1. I think those who book concierge miss their foot stools and that is just as important to them as a lounger...which you won't find outside of suite life...unless there's a little payola and a larger balcony involved..LOL.
  2. P1, 2, or 3 or all all the same? I think it's only location of the decks? I'm leaning that way from X but need a subtle push after all the years with Celebrity.
  3. But moved on to where? I'm researching other lines and I don't see 'nice' balcony furniture ..... however, they're better than the kitchen chairs and dinky table X provides. Hard to find pics of what other lines are offering on their balconies.
  4. I've spoken with Diana in the past and she was very helpful with a somewhat unique problem. With her approach to you, no doubt there's an executive mandate to promote the corporate response until she can't anymore and then say 'ask for it when you're onboard.... being a Retreat customer', etc........ which should be your due without having to 'ask'. X has it backwards. They should be providing the 'comfort' they advertise, not just to Retreat clients but all else on board. Taking away 'comfort' is taking away future $$$s. JMHO.
  5. We've sailed Eclipse 5 times, last being 2017 and she looked just fine to me; I hoped she hadn't aged too fast in 7 years...lol. As to similar, I couldn't get lost on one or the other S class ships main areas.
  6. Only have 2 concerns which have been addressed I think....the condition of the ship and I think you said it's A OK for an older ship...and the other is what balcony furniture do you have? If they've changed to the pair of kitchen chairs and dinky table I won't be impressed. The reclining back chair and foot stool is what we've enjoyed always on S class...some say they have them now and others say the foot stools are removed but the chair is the same?
  7. Gone off the rails....LOL....any more comments on the Eclipse?
  8. Your reservations are linked so that may be enough to have your table set for the group. Have you indicated a dining time? You can set each time for each day under the Select Dining option. So if your time is set it will be good for all the linked group. As well as calling Celebrity which you say they're reluctant to do, there is a way for them to wait list online. If they: call up their booking on the X site click on manage reservation under the dining seating time arrow down there's an option in small type to 'wait list'
  9. Rec'd an(other) X email today highlighting our Elite + benefits. Hope they haven't discontinued the 240 pp minutes...enough for us so not necessary to buy a package. Re internet benefit on X chart: Re benefit in X email • 35% off Wi-Fi Package or internet upgrade
  10. Yes....access to both. We had a drink package when moved up but don't remember ever being asked for our sea-pass in either.
  11. CelebrityEngagementCenter@celebrity.com cec@celebrity.com Lhodges-bethge@celebrity.com (I used this one recently and rec'd a callback in 3 days...You won't speak with her directly, but someone from the Exec Office returned my call)
  12. Trust me, you wouldn't have far to fall....LOL. Re the footstools and reclining chairs they've also removed....I spoke with the Exec Office Rep today, who I felt sorry for....young and tongue tied. When she said space being an issue (assume she meant non-suite cabins), I mentioned during the reno's they hadn't redesigned the size of the balcony...same space as during the many S class cruises we've enjoyed with 2 chairs, 2 footstools, and a small table. Still room to move around. There is no logical reason, except cost to replace IMO.
  13. I just did a little research....pay a little extra for a Princess mini-suite but it's still less than X charges. Have no idea how nice this cabin would be compared with eg a Celebrity Sky Suite. Includ
  14. Re having 'their own line in the sand'....and 100% sure....IMO there's no such thing in life as 100% sure of what you're getting, so it's a crap shoot in some respects. But just tell us in plain English why we're not getting what we 'thought' we were paying for. Then we can accept or not.
  15. It's the 'not knowing'. I don't want to have an upset on vacation by having to chase down balcony furniture. There are those who think this isn't important. I'm one of the ones who didn't think cookies rated all the attention received, but this comfort issue is totally different ....IMHO.
  16. Nor I....but would at least try to provide a truthful and inclusive answer to my customer's queries before I left. BTW...there are perfectly good hospitality positions in which I could last more than a day, just not one where the executive branch has an agenda which doesn't include good customer service....the staff do the best they can with instruction provided (or lose their job).
  17. They were home at that point...doing the laundry...
  18. Agree...but no solution so far. Guess with 'cookie gate' they could 'eat' the expense of providing warm cookies, but won't budge on the expense of returning proper balcony furniture.
  19. They love their cruises from comments above, but do they love their balcony FURNITURE?
  20. Do you mean they like or unlike X policies re balcony furniture?
  21. Just sent my email for whatever good it'll do....probably file under 'G' before reading it.
  22. Agree.......My kids in university didn't have a card and got along fine without it. Budgeted what they had in allowance (meagre...lol). They're very good now managing their finances including credit.
  23. Interest rate really is laughable. We're only going to use the card onboard and for convenience at ports........ $$s are there to be used and they've sat for a while.
  24. Today it was $1.4002 (higher than recently) to purchase US $.
