  1. If you were flying out 1 day ahead this might have worked for you. Our cruise leaves on a Saturday....we're flying out day before on Friday....staying at the Sheraton Airport Hotel Thursday PM. Have booked our test at Shoppers in our area for 1pm on Thurs., results shortly afterward, then drive to Toronto to check in to hotel. I was surprised I could book a Nov. appt. this far in advance. At one point we were going to be in the Florida area for a few days and like you, I was searching for a Walgreens or CVS but they didn't have a similar booking schedule. We changed to day ahead flight; being able to take care of this in our own area relieved that kind of stress.
  2. Something to consider. Our trip MAY BE in the fall of 2023. It's not the $$s I suppose, but the nuisance of application and the fact they require it EVEN IF YOU DON'T DISEMBARK. Also, no mention of this type of authorization when one books....there may be other locals that have the same requirements. I suppose X will advise after final payment.
  3. Question....are you saying if we take the transatlantic cruise which stops in Bermuda on the way to FLL, we have to apply for a 'ticket' to get off the ship? This is something I hadn't realized.
  4. Thanks for the info....I note that the 'all included' is available only on select sailings (fine print).
  5. My experience as well. Still no answer from my X CVP to confirm our prior booking is still all inclusive (which most likely there won't be a change) but if I reprice will all inclusive go away based on mock bookings I've made and that option isn't available.
  6. That's good news....we've never flown WJ before and I had concerns it may have the same baggage and flight delays as AC.
  7. Yes....I see that now in your heading....just was too quick to read your post and I didn't see 'random' mentioned. Doesn't mean we have to pre-test...just that they will test some travellers at the airport. Maybe that'll go away by our Nov. cruise. It's already a mess at the Toronto airport without adding one more tie up.
  8. haha..... Just trying to help.....but I found it for you.....pretty sure it's relevant to your inquiry. You'll have to go back to page 1 beginning post. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2865288-current-60-off-sale/page/2/#comment-63561296
  9. There's another long thread on this for more info.
  10. For sure....very happy I booked our 2022/23 cruises when they first came out. Booking now is sticker shock. Our 2023 suite price especially has increased substantially.
  11. Thanks for your 'shot'....however, I don't get that page at all....just goes to 'pay grats' and 'pay for refundable'. Maybe they haven't updated the Canadian site?
  12. I guess I'm blind but I can't see the actual wording 'all inclusive'. Can you capture that in a screen shot and post? I'll then know where to look.TIA.
  13. Thanks for trying to better inform us than Celebrity is doing. We are ALL stakeholders in the cruise investments we make and should know when a potential investment may change. BTW...I still don't see anywhere on mock bookings that all included is 'all included'. Are we going back to chits for beverages and paying for WIFI? Just a rhetorical question....I know you don't have all the answers but trying to help as best you can with info available. I have a concierge booking for 2022 and have sent a note to CVP to confirm our enhancements are still in place, but I do understand that if we reprice that could change. Our 2023 is in a suite and I do see that nothing there has changed.
  14. Don't use FB....why wouldn't it go out in one of their 'MANY' emails I receive almost daily.
  15. I didn't receive the 'release' but when I did a mock booking for concierge mid Nov. rates there's no mention of all inclusive anything. Also, the locations have changed to 3...'Prime, Concierge, Partial View'. Wanted to ensure no changes to Retreat as we're booked in a Suite which shows all the inclusions (why would they mention gourmet bites on the Retreat option...LOL); all inclusive with the option. Shore Excursion Credit Premium Drinks Premium Wi-Fi Tips Onboard Credit if booking Concierge it does not show anything included. The options are 'pay grats' and 'refundable deposit'. The final $$s do not reflect the beverage package...only gratuities are being paid upfront. Also, I'm not sailing solo...a glitch or a credit of some sort?
  16. HAHA....DH always tips the dealer when he wins....it's gentlemens' etiquette he says.
  17. When I've booked the dining specialty packages, I made a fast run to the outside of the Oceanview Cafe by the elevators where a dining assistant was waiting to take restaurant reservations. I had a list of dates, times, and restaurants I wanted to reserve. He/she was always accommodating and no request was unfilled; however, we do dine early so maybe easier to book for us. FYI...The dining room maître d' was usually swamped with persons changing tables, etc, so I learned to try the OC first.
  18. Thanks for your help...and from others on this thread.......much appreciated.
  19. Would SDM do that arranging or is that something the user looks into? My concern is buying in Canada and proctoring in the US. And I'm pretty sure I have a few of the 'free' tests and I didn't think they were eligible for use on X?
  20. Thanks....we'll be staying about 6 hours away from Ft L 2 days prior to the cruise. Looked into the pharmacies in that area but booking only allowed that day; our concern is that the appts may all be booked. Also looking at Ft L as we'll be there day prior to cruise. Same situation. If all else failed, X has a 'port' test offered for international travellers and I think that is day of. Wouldn't that contravene their 2 day prior rule? The proctor test is being considered....but...if we purchase at SDM before leaving would we still be able to use it in Florida? I'll look at post #3 for their experiences. The entire thing is becoming a headache.
  21. Hi Fouremco....I've been all over CVS and Walgreens sites in **** Florida for info. We're driving down 4 days prior to cruise (hate the airport disasters so thinking a road trip this time). So....it seems the booking availability at Walgreens is day of...and CVS booking within 13 days. Both said results in 1 to 2 days. I suppose if we have roaming, we'll receive the results by text? If we need our tests done 2 days prior to cruise at our stop off point before we arrive at Ft Lauderdale, and the pharmacy is booked up, that may jeopardize the cruise. I knew I'd find knowledgeable cruisers on CC who've been through this so here I am asking for help. Sorry if this sounds confusing, because I AM confused...LOL.
