  1. Speaking from experience in a very large corporation within the exec. office, and if X operates similarly, there is more than 'one' lady or person handling these contacts. The calls to the executive office are redirected to another pertinent department (manager?) for action. They react very quickly when being contacted by the President's Office. I've had reason to reach out to them and each time had a response from a different, kind lady by phone or email with almost instant satisfaction, follow up, or resolve. This issue is becoming more paramount than my requests for satisfaction. I would think there will now be a pat answer until they come up with a unified decision as it's nothing that can be resolved individually but involves policy.
  2. We will miss his calming and appropriate responses. The happy times you enjoyed with him as you travelled life's path together will live on in your memory.
  3. I can think of one more....the chefs are working with what they have on hand in the larder....then the real change across the board will be evident.
  4. Don't let this criticism of Celebrity dissuade you from enjoying your cruise. This site is famous for beating the line with a rubber hose. Posting current menus will help you decide if dining is your main reason for cruising. You mentioned MDR which will offer palatable options if not some items posters here have taken for granted in the past and sincerely wish to continue. Menus will change if you're Suite or Aqua class due to allocated restaurants.
  5. Maybe the OP is a frustrated OP ED writer and has found his/her place here on CC...😁
  6. That is uncooked....they actually are good when prepared correctly.
  7. No...we haven't ordered more than one entree...having trouble stuffing in all the foods available during the day as it is....light lunch included. Guess we're not getting our money's worth. But, would like the MDR menu to keep escargot and shrimp cocktail, onion soup etc...more items on Luminae menu for choice. This will probably not happen as it affects the bottom profit line.
  8. I really really hate to say this...but after reading all the posts...you seem to be on a mission...like a cute little puppy with a rag toy...mangle it till it's gone or someone takes it away. All of us are responding with critiques, mostly negative..but it seems you are determined to keep this going with almost the same cynicism over and over. I get you're upset, probably more than some of us, but give the posters, who may be able to still enjoy their cruise despite the cutbacks, some slack without coming down so hard on their opinion. Mind you, the TP crack did elicit a smile...😉.
  9. Equinox did not update most of the cabins, but did the revolutionize the Retreat Lounge (formerly Michaels Club) and installed a Retreat sun deck, which is quite nice, but no pool or bar as on E class. They have a staffer which attends the guests, provides any drink or menu item they request..generally pretty quickly.
  10. Actually it sounds like something I'd order, just can't imagine the taste of banana and chicken.
  11. Sent the menu to DH. He asked if this was in Luminae....BTW...we're in the same house, but I'm on my computer downstairs, he on his phone upstairs....the older generation is making digital progress - we just don't actually talk to each other....haha..... My answer... "no....MDR...but if you want, it could be in Luminae...just presented much nicer! Maybe with a French name.... Cassoulet or porc et haricots"
  12. Wish you wouldn't feed me those lines...but here goes....would that be after Pork and Bean dinner?
  13. There's a time and a place for 'beans'....Bushes or any others. Just can't enjoy the thought of beans and pork cheeks on an X menu. Wonder what banana stuffed chicken tastes like?
  14. Wouldn't you form an opinion during your cruise this month whether to book in 2024?
  15. Sometimes service quality is subjective, so you have to sail to form an opinion on current service and quality. These comments are unique to each poster although educated opinion is worth weighing.
  16. We were on the Equinox in Nov. '22.... our aft suite had not been revolutionized, although we did see one near the elevator had different 'colours' so assume it had been. We were told it had been stopped, no date for finishing. Luminae looked exactly the same as 2019; Retreat Lounge had been updated.
  17. I would generally respond to this kind of post with a 😀....but I found I was just going to pass over it.....then I thought I should express myself here.....I just feel sad with so many comments on multiple threads that have finally become depressing to me. It's sad the cruise lines have to cut back to keep going and sad we will have to either accept those cutbacks (for now) or choose not to sail. Sorry ..... your humour should have been appreciated.
  18. Yes...you're right. A station involves a choice; a prepared dish does not. And....2 of the 3 are generally served with pasta but not necessarily. Since I've never dined at dinner in the OV, I should not have commented. mea culpa.
  19. I ordered Steak Diane Flambe in one of our home city higher end restaurants....I agree it was horrible and tough. I asked why and they said it's flank steak. Some will say they love flank steak but I won't take a chance on it again. So it's possible this is the case on and off ships.
  20. you're right but there ARE fewer of them (E Class). Not defending...I'm not a fan of IV, just posting what was on one of the threads on CC.
  21. Some posters have said it's the engineers and design staff...no or fewer balconies are less drag (is that the right term....? I'm no ship designer) so less fuel use.
  22. No, no....you misunderstood..where did you get the word 'refused' or are you just having a poke (again)...I only said we ordered it from the MDR menu when we didn't see it on the L menu...and the MDR menu was provided to our table and others every evening.
