  1. Yes these suites are under the pool deck and near the cones/pizza area. There are tables above which normally helps some. We have stayed in these suites several times and never heard noise like we did on this particular cruise. It was the worst for this. I'm sure it was carts that do make a lot of noise. Wasn't so bad it disturbed us, but it was noticeable.
  2. We were in R406 PH Suite a month ago on the Crown to Hawaii. Have been in this location before and never heard much noise from above. But this cruise we heard it quite a bit. No idea what was above us, but it sounded like carts rolling across the floor constantly. Actually went up to look if we could see what it was, but never did. It wasn't horrible, but it was definitely loud enough in the early morning.
  3. Just disembarked the Crown yesterday. Yes you can bring food over from the IC. That is totally not a problem.
  4. On the Crown right now. Went to the wine tasting just a couple days ago. First was a bubbly from Chateau St. Michelle, then a Chardonnay from Decoy, a Pinot (red) and then one other red (a cab), and a desert wine. At least they didn't have Kim Crawford wine this time like we did on a cruise last year. The cheese and fruit plate was shared by 2 people . We were seated at a table for 8, so 4 plates. Wine was alright.
  5. We had E728 last fall on the Discovery and have it booked again for next April. Never heard anything from the lounge either. No idea on the hide a bed as we didn't need it either. Bathroom where the shower is, is quite nice and bigger than the PH suites. So much storage in this cabin also. We never utilized all of it even with everything we brought with us. We also had a little soot on our balcony also, but it didn't make it unuseable. We wiped off the seats and it was fine then. The balcony was so nice and it was utilized a lot on our cruise. You will enjoy the suite and with 3 of you it will be very comfortable.
  6. We had the Owner's Suite on the Port side last year on the Discovery and have it booked again for next year for the Solar Eclipse cruise. Never heard a thing from the lounge. It is such a nice suite and looking forward to being in it again next year. Enjoy your cruise and the Discovery! My favorite Princess ship as of now.
  7. Agree with Memoak. We are also on the RT Hawaii sailing on the Crown on 9/30. It shows up on the Princess website to book still.
  8. We had the suite breakfast on disembarkation day on the Discovery Princess on our last 4 cruises. Guess it just depends on the ship.
  9. Was just curious. When I looked at your signature I didn't see any Azamara cruises listed. Only reason I asked.
  10. Are these future cruises or past cruises with Azamara?
  11. Thank you for the concierge information. I knew there was no lounge sadly, which we will definitely miss. Utilized it quite a bit on the Discovery. Appreciate your information about this. Your post was the first I've seen about them having anyone on the ship as a concierge. Will definitely look forward to meeting the officer assigned to this.
  12. Curious you mentioned a concierge on the Crown. Where are they located on the ship since there is no concierge lounge for suites. Will be on the ship in a suite and very interested to find out about this. Thanks in advance for any info.
  13. In 2019 we were on either the Quest or Journey in the Caribbean going to Cuba. We were invited to a dinner with the Staff Captain along with 6 other couples. Dinner was in the main dining room and was very nice. Was invited on the next cruise with another staff member, but we declined that night. Was a very nice experience and the Staff Captain (now full Captain) couldn't have been nicer and so fun to talk to. Hopefully they still do these dinners.
  14. I agree with Billco. You were lucky to even find a guarantee cabin for this cruise since it sold out within a few weeks after being offered. Don't think your standing with Princess will come into play for this cruise. Just feel lucky that you get a cabin.
  15. When we were on the Discovery in December we did laundry. Yes the washers and dryers were free and they also have boxes of free laundry soap (All Free and Clear) and (Downy). I was surprised and pleased.
  16. We were on the Discovery 2 weeks ago. The puppies were there around 3:00 PM. The gentleman brought 2 of his puppies onboard. They were so adorable. One went sound asleep. The other wanted to run. Yes it was packed. At least they had lines for people that wanted to pet them and they would let a couple at a time. Was glad they were so thoughtful to the puppies well being.
  17. We were in the exact location that Coral posted her picture of the Majestic the week before. Whatever it’s called we didn’t have to tender. But they will have to in June twice we were told.
  18. We were on the Discovery last week, May 25. No tenders required for that day at the RR dock. I had expected tenders due to what I'd read. When we were in the Concierge lounge I asked about this ahead to know what to expect. They have many shipping containers lined up to protect from the hill side that you will walk through. Shuttle buses are constantly running to take you part way to a lot then walk into town. Apparently though they have 2 cruises in the next month where tenders will be required. I don't remember what he told us was the dates for those or why those weeks will require them. But there are a couple coming up. Made it nice for the stop to not tender at all.
  19. On Discovery right now in Skagway. Always so enjoy having breakfast in Sabatini's. One of our favorite ways to start the day on a cruise. Also love the concierge lounge just for suite guests and is a favorite of ours.
  20. Really makes no difference where the origin shipping point is when they are sent to Princess. When they get here they come out of California.
  21. Received an e-mail from Princess last week, probably Wednesday, that ours have been shipped. They were shipped out of Carson, CA according to my app. Ours have all been sent from Carson I've noticed. Will be here on Monday and our cruise is May 21.

    New website.

The only shining lining I can see at this moment is we are not alone. I know that isn't a positive thing, but thank goodness it isn't just me not showing any future cruises. That would be even more concerning. Ginabab I'm so sorry! I will admit I had to laugh for a quick second on you being dropped for being on hold for too long! Believe me I wasn't laughing at you but at the pure craziness of that. It is truly getting more and more ridiculous. There is a lot of money tied up in these cruises and I would just like to see them on my account. We also have a good amount of money for OBC and even the cruises showing for my husband it is incorrect. Agree it is just a canned response with those e-mails we got. If they think that will satisfy us they are really mistaken. I keep hoping with each day things will get better, but so far it isn't. Good luck to all of us! Susan

    New website.

This is truly getting to be more frustrating than it should be. I've sent in 3 support forms and did receive an e-mail this morning stating everything had been fixed. LOL! Well nothing has changed. We have 5 cruises booked with them. My husband has 3 of them showing and I have nothing. Don't have several accounts so that can't be a problem like stated in the e-mail the other day from Carol C. saying this is a problem for many people. I like the cruise line and have enjoyed all of our cruises with them in the past. Just frustrating to get an e-mail that is totally untrue. My loyalty points don't even show up so no way of knowing if they have them correct or not. Have waited to post anything because others on here are more knowledgeable than I am about the operations. We have had such a good experience with them but this is truly casting a shadow over everything.
  24. You will be more than fine. We flew home on the Saturday after our New Year's cruise on the Discovery. Delta had moved our flight up a few times and it was at 11:20 AM. I was a bit concerned. Did walk off with or luggage and were off by 7:35. Had a car arranged and were at LAX by 8:30. Even though it was very busy, we still had plenty of time.
  25. I'm guessing the April 3, 2024 Solar Eclipse cruise also. We jumped on this the day it opened for Elite booking which turned out to be a good thing. It sold out pretty quickly. To the OP we were on the Discovery over Christmas and New Year and the ship was full. We had Club Class dining and will on this cruise as well, so never had to make a reservation. But I think getting it made as early as possible would be a help for you.
