Nevada regulations now allow 75% payback as a minimum. Don't believe me go read it yourself. 🙂 "14.040 Minimum standards for gaming devices. 1. All gaming devices must: (a) Theoretically pay out a mathematically demonstrable percentage of all amounts wagered, which must not be less than 75 percent for each wager available for play on the device." https://gaming.nv.gov/uploadedFiles/gamingnvgov/content/Home/Features/Regulation14.pdf

Don't wait 🙂 Also, UNESCO sucks and should be ignored/abolished -
I don't mind them asking like some people do. However, on the last several cruises we break the ice ourselves by telling our waiters: "After we get off the ship tomorrow you will receive a survey about how we were as guests this week, We need you to puts 10s across the board. Not 9s or below but 10s" We all have a good laugh and they don't bother with their survey pitch. 🙂 We also don't let things fester so if there is an issue with the waiters we have already addressed it during the week.

Thanks for the price list. The soda is actually $2 cheaper than the water. WOW!!! 🙂 -
Sodas and Water for our Mini Fridge on Rotterdam

If we had a drink package other than the one we have the first part sounds like a great idea. Not sure if we get $100pp value by upgrading from the one we have to the quench package. Generally we don't carry on because of the hassle. (we are not light packers LOL) -

Sodas and Water for our Mini Fridge on Rotterdam
NightOne replied to NightOne's topic in Holland America Line
Awesome! Thanks! -
We're going on Rotterdam in a few weeks and I have not found anywhere on the website to buy sodas to be delivered to the room. I did see a 12-pack of 12 ounce water for $37.76. Once I was shocked back to life I calculated that it amounted to $3.15 per water and I coded again. These aren't even 16 or 20 ounce waters but rather 12 ounce. On the other cruise lines we like to order about (2) 12-packs of water and (1) 12-pack of soda to keep in our mini fridge. We did buy the unlimited Coca Cola Package but it says that is just good for fountain soda. Does Rotterdam have a Coke freestyle machine? What other options do I have to get soda and water for the room? Can I buy directly from the bar when onboard and more reasonable prices for water? (realize sodas may be a few dollars a can) I have never carried on drinks because I would just rather pay and have them delivered to the room on boarding day but these water prices and lack of soda/pop/Coke options has me thinking about it. Any advice? What are my options? Thanks

Everyone seems to be straying off the point here. The auto gratuities are what they are. No one is saying not to pay those. Technically they are presented by the cruise lines in a manner that suggest you don't need to tip additionally. If you go to a restaurant and they add a 30% mandatory gratuity to your check are you adding another 20%? or do you feel that you are good?
