  1. Right, but as the amount Royal charges goes up and up it seems hard to justify more on top of that. Example: $18pp x 2 for a 7 day cruise is $252 $252 in tips for a week That is quit a bit Now let's say I am am cash tipping my 2 MDR waiters $50 each for the week, my room steward $50 for the week, and one other person $50 for the week then we are talking $500 in tips for the week. What number do we get to where we say the auto-tips are enough? 🙂 Are we there yet? I'm wondering.
  2. This is a different topic other than the 3 "they just raised gratuities again" threads If only you weren't such a (fill in the blank)
  3. We have always prepaid gratuities. We have also gave additional cash gratuities to our room steward and MDR waiters. We also added additional gratuities at special dining. However, with the automatic daily gratuities going higher and higher it is getting hard to justify the "tips on top of the tips". Anyone else feeling this way? Are you still going to tip more?
  4. Looks like a total scam Pretty sure it is garbage
  5. Fjord Tours: They original told me July 2024 and when that didn't happen I wrote them back and they said by the "end of this year"
  6. Inedible? BS When you get to this early in a review you know you can just quit reading.
  7. Now exclude any person who purchased an alcohol drink package from the solarium. 😉
  8. Definitely is a price gouge but I am sure it will sell out and they will raise the prices even further. 😞
  9. Room steward told me it was only on Sea Days but mentioned on Sunday that some guests had already won that day. Hmmm...I'm going to need to speak with a manager LOL Honestly getting the 2 nights in Crown Grill was worth the premiere package on this 2 nighter.
  10. Or just not be overly sensitive to every single thing in the world SMH
  11. We are on this cruise too. 🙂 So what are all the options for boarding day lunch? I have the package that includes free casual dining. Also, I need to be gluten free so I am guessing the MDR, pizza, and some other places can handle that but isn't the MDR only open certain hours for lunch on boarding day?
  12. I'll alert the media and you are replying to this thread ... WHY?
  13. Definitely them. It is janky. I can normally get it to work via a couple of methods: 1. Sometimes clicking the login button vs pressing enter (or vice versa) 2. Put in my booking information and entering username and password in the pop up window to login vs the main window Good luck with it
  14. What if I want to wear shorts in the dining room on formal night and remove the tips? LOL
  15. I have a hold on a Princess cruise that does the following ports starting in early September: Rome >> Naples >> Kotor >> Corfu >> Crete >> Santorini >> Kasadasi >> Mykonos >> Athens I'm choosing that time of year of because of weather (sea temperatures) and crowds. My thinking is that we will make this a Greek beach cruise and already looking at the following beaches: Corfu = Palaiokastritsa Crete = Agioi Apostoloi or Agios Vasileios Plakias Santorini = Kamari Mykonos = Kalafatis Naples, Kotor, and Kasadasi can be non-beach days. I will be travelling with someone with mobility issues and the only tenders here are Kotor and Santorini. All the above beaches appear to be accessible. We actually would not spend any time sitting on the beach but rather swimming in the ocean, drying off, and leaving. My concerns are as follows: 1. Are Greek beaches going to be a great experience? They look beautiful in pictures but we have been to most of the top Caribbean beaches including Bahamas (Bimini and HMC), St. Thomas (Magen's Coki, Sapphire, Secret), Tortola (Cane Garden Bay and Long Bay Beef Island), Aruba (Baby, Palm, Eagle, Arashi), Curacao (Playa Kenepa), Roatan (West Bay), Grand Cayman (7 Mile) etc. We always have a great time just hanging out in the water and relaxing. Any chance I will be greatly disappointed with Greek beaches? 2. Do Greek beaches have issues with sea weed/grass (sargasm) like parts of the Caribbean? 2. Are the beaches easily accessible in Santorini and Mykonos? In Santorini can you avoid the cable car ride (and steps)? 3. Does a Greek beach cruise make logical sense? Any other thoughts you could share would be greatly appreciated.
  16. One other note on shared tours. If they do not meet the minimum number required they could end up cancelling your tour.
  17. The Rome in Limo website lists private tours. If you want to find a shared tour they offer that via their other website at https://www.sharingtoursinitaly.com/ ItalyTours.eu lists private and shared toured on the same site. Rome in Limo lists the prices of their private tours and shared tours on their 2 sites. ItalyTours.eu lists the prices of their shared tours but you have to e-mail them for prices on private tours.
  18. Thanks for the feedback. After e-mail exchanges with both companies we booked the tours with Rome In Limo.
  19. It is a little odd because Rome in Limo is much higher than ItalyTours.eu in La Spezia but cheaper in Naples. Clearly, I could pick both with 1 excursion each but I am also liking the idea of using the same company for both. RomeCabs is on the radar too but more for transfers and such.
  20. @CruiserBruce @euro cruiser So neither of you have used both companies?
