  1. I've been searching and have read tons of post on both Rome In Limo and ItalyTours.Eu but I do not recall running across anyone who has done tours with both companies and can compare and contrast the two? So, anyone tour with both of these companies and have feedback to share? It sounds like you cannot go wrong with either but just looking for additional feedback. Thanks
  2. Same. Got it at $6.99 on one of the Black Friday sales but it has been staying no lower than $8.99 for a long time and is generally $9.99. Royal has to pay off that Covid debt. 😉
  3. Wrong. Schengen and Bulgaria, Romania, and Cyprus (these 3 are EU countries) Best info is here: https://travel-europe.europa.eu/etias_en
  4. The thread that keeps on giving LOL You keep up all this complaining and I am going to raise cabana prices up another $500
  5. Our fully paid Odyssey cruise in January 2024 just had the taxes raised by $40.90 and the only Bahamas stop is Cococay. (According to the e-mail I just received) So we are having to pay an extra $20.45 pp to go to the “private island” and I guess we are no longer fully paid. :(
  6. Guess the 10th day was the charm on the transfer. Just got confirmation it is done now,
  7. Here is mine: Sent me shareholder request at 12:32PM today
  8. Yes, sent the form supplied by my TA one day after booking it. This afternoon 10 business day will have passed.
  9. Did they not have the small boat excursion available? For example: Endicott Arm Fjord and Glacier Explorer
  10. I have not e-mailed for my shareholder credit yet but I did e-mail them to transfer my booking to a TA and it has been 10 business days and they still have not got it done. Not impressed with their turnaround times. Our first HAL cruise and lets hope it is better than the pre-cruise shoreside interactions. :0
  11. So just like every other article the modern press puts out 😞
  12. Rick Steves book is still relevant. Other two: doesn't matter when they were published. Have you read the Rick Steves book?
  13. I've done a bunch of research on Flam so I went to the Flam section of each of these and read what they had to offer. The 2nd guide ($4) is just stuff you can Google up pretty quick. I don't recommend. The 1st guide ($7) has some more information and personal experience but it is very limited. It also states things like there are only ship provided excursions which is clearly wrong. Therefore, I can not really recommend it either but it is better than the other one. Get the Rick Steves guidebook. It will give you a good start.
  14. I see Cruise Critic continues to live up to its reputation 😞 I have the Rick Steves Scandinavian & Northern European Cruise Ports and it covers: Oslo, Stavanger, Bergen, Flam, and Geirangerfjord. It teaches you all about Norway in a Nutshell in Flam. I recommend it. It looks like there a couple of Amazon that could be interesting. They include: THE MAGIC OF CRUISING NORWAY 2022-23: Including a Russian Arctic Supplement and Cruising the Norwegian Fjords, from Amsterdam to Southampton : Abbreviated Guide for Cruise Ship Passengers I just bought these two guides a minute ago as they were $7 and $4. (Kindle versions) Samples looked ok but can tell you more about these two later.
  15. Which is why you ask multiple people. It is still true on some ships. Go find out for yourself. Not going to argue with you. I just got off a ship last week that was short crew. I did the behind the scenes tour and seen it firsthand as well. Was not a huge deal to me but the impact of short crew and cutbacks by Carnival Corp is getting very noticeable.
  16. Ask crew members, guest services, cruise director, etc. They admit when they are short crew
  17. I'm not an idiot. I have asked multiple staff multiple times when I am on an understaffed ship and they admit it and tell you they are short crew members. It has been a problem since the restart of full passenger loads. It is not a secret that Carnival Corp is having problems get all the ships fully crewed. They have admitted it. It is not a secret.
  18. If you have been on the same ship twice and one time it is understaffed you will definitely notice the difference. 🙂 Can anyone speak to the OP's question?
