  1. That's good news. We didn't have trouble getting into the comedy club on a sold-out sailing over Christmas, even without reservations, but this will definitely allow more people to experience the show.
  2. Interesting! I guess there are two sizes. I'll take two of the small, please.
  3. We're not fragile, we simply abhor jerks.
  4. Just an update for anyone who is curious about when guaranteed staterooms are assigned. I booked my cruise in October and changed it to a suite guarantee a couple of weeks ago and was given my cabin assignment today, 63 days before my July 7 cruise. It's an accessible sky suite, #8127, as I expected it to be, given that only accessible suites were available at the time of my booking.
  5. I can see the Martini Bar on the app for my upcoming July sailing on the Millennium and the martinis are $13, except for the 25th anniversary martini, which is $16. Screenshots attached.
  6. Good to know, thank you. My husband has a good pair, but they're a bit bulky.
  7. Oh my. Clothing optional charter!
  8. Well, if there's no gold by the inch then I'm not cruising!!!!
  9. We're sailing to Alaska in July. We've booked a sky suite guarantee. I see that binoculars are included in the cabin. Are they of decent quality, or should we bring our own?
  10. Oh my. I was considering another NCL cruise just for the Vueve Clicquot in the Premium package. We enjoyed that so much during our holiday cruise. I'll revise my plans now.
  11. The Vegetarian Pancit your wife ordered looks fantastic. Is that on the regular menu in Luminae, or the vegetarian menu?
  12. I'm sure the room steward would use it if left behind. We've done that before. 🙂
  13. Same here. I'm sailing July 7 and received my MoveUp email the last week of April.
  14. What's the best way to know if prices drop on a cruise I booked for 2024?
  15. This sound amazing!! I would absolutely do the Veuve Clicquot dinner. It's my favorite Champagne. Not too expensive and delicious. Do you find out if your ship is doing this dinner once you're on board? We're on a July 7 northbound Alaskan cruise on the Millennium. For whatever it's worth, on our Norwegian Prima cruise in December, Veuve Clicquot was part of the premium drink package, so every night at dinner, we would order a glass of it, and the server at each restaurant would bring a bottle and open it for us and we were soooo happy. We asked why they brought a bottle instead of a glass, since bottles weren't part of the package, and they said because once you open a bottle, you have to use it all, and why not? I mean, we would have been able to order multiple glasses on our drink package anyway, but there was something about that full bottle right there in the ice bucket that was quite extravagant that we especially loved. It's almost enough to make us want to do another NCL cruise! 🙂
  16. I appreciate the comparison. My teenage son and I did Wonderland earlier this month on Harmony of the Seas. It was fun, and we don't regret doing it at all, but yeah, a do-it-once kind of thing, at least for a few years. It was much easier to opt out of eating at Royal Caribbean's regular restaurants, however, than Luminae on Celebrity. Particularly since I had purchased the unlimited dining plan on Royal and we knew we were going to eat at specialty restaurants every night on Royal to avoid the awful MDR food over there! Edited to say that I realize when I originally posted this, I hadn't upgraded to a sky suite, so I wasn't even planning to eat in Luminae each evening. I was asking if Le Petit Chef was worth the effort compared to the MDR on Celebrity. I have heard very good things in recent months about the main dining room food on Celebrity from friends who have cruised on Solstice.
  17. Can you later change that cruise if needed without penalty?
  18. you can see them as line items on your invoice, too, but that might be after final payment. the codes would be slightly different, but you see BEV for drinks and INTERNET for WiFi and GRAT for tips and a - sign in front of the amounts in the tally.
  19. My memory isn't so good about last week, but I can remember all the way back to a family vacation to Nebraska when I was two years old. I have memories that might be earlier, but I can't put a time stamp on them like I can the Nebraska vacation. My mom always says, to this day, that my brother and I were the most well-behaved children. She points out when I was 5 and my brother was 8 and my parents were buying a car and it took the better part of two days. My brother and I just sat there, patiently, watching TV in the car dealership while our parents handled the deal. They did have ice cream in those little plastic containers with wooden spoons, so we were able to eat a few of those. I remember being bored silly, but we knew better than to do anything but sit there and be quiet.
  20. Yikes, I'm sorry this happened to you. I would have expected more from Celebrity, too. How are you doing now?
  21. same. I never, ever screamed in public. nor did my brother. I did silently cry a couple of times, however. 50 years ago the punishments were very different!!!!
